FAMAS | Colony

FAMAS | Colony is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist weapon, featuring a restrained Solid Color finish. Khaki and gray divide the weapon's components, with no decorative artwork or lettering. Its sparse appearance suits players building muted, military-style loadouts. Regular and Souvenir copies are available across every standard exterior, giving buyers both condition and version choices.

Description

FAMAS | Colony gives the Counter-Terrorist rifle a subdued appearance built around contrasting painted components. Its Colony finish uses the Solid Color style, keeping the visual focus on the weapon's shape rather than an illustrated design. The FAMAS itself serves as a budget rifle option between costlier rifles and less effective SMGs. The carry handle, curved magazine and molded stock contours provide much of this skin's visual character. Khaki dominates the upper parts, while gray separates the grip, magazine and sections of the lower stock. This palette suits players who prefer understated equipment over bright colors or elaborate decoration. Regular and Souvenir versions offer a choice between a straightforward loadout item and a tournament-linked collectible. Buyers can compare exterior, precise float value and version, then inspect item images to assess the particular copy being offered.

History and Origin

FAMAS | Colony was introduced on November 27, 2013. Its release came with the DreamHack 2013 update, establishing its connection to that period of the game's history. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. The Italy Collection is its collection identity, separate from the tournament packages associated with its Souvenir version. Those souvenir routes are the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and the EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. Opening either package remains a way to pursue a Souvenir copy, distinct from buying an existing item directly. Today, the Steam Community Market provides a direct purchase route where buyers can select from available listings. Player-to-player trades offer another way to acquire existing copies without relying on a package opening.

Finish Style

The Solid Color finish separates the rifle into khaki and gray areas instead of covering it with a repeating pattern. Khaki runs across the carry handle and upper receiver, giving the top of the weapon a consistent color. The forward housing, barrel and most of the stock continue that khaki treatment. Gray covers the pistol grip, trigger guard and curved magazine, creating contrast beneath the upper assembly. Panels along the lower stock add further gray sections without introducing decorative artwork. The muzzle device remains khaki, while its dark openings interrupt the otherwise plain surface. The trigger and recessed areas appear nearly black, emphasizing the gaps and contours between larger painted parts. With no visible lettering or patterned decoration, the finish gets its detail from component placement, contrasting colors and the rifle's molded shape.

Float Value

The FAMAS | Colony float range runs from 0.06 to 0.80, covering a broad range of exterior conditions. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with none of the standard exterior categories excluded. Regular and Souvenir versions exist; version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition indicated by float value.

Rarity and Popularity

FAMAS | Colony has Consumer Grade rarity, which is separate from its exterior condition and Souvenir status. Its acquisition chance from The Italy Collection is 16.03%, a figure that should not be treated as souvenir package odds. Professional owners include kennyS, s1mple and TaZ, although ownership alone does not establish broad market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted khaki and gray suit understated loadouts

• Plain component colors keep the rifle's shape visible

• Every standard exterior is available

• Souvenir versions add a tournament-linked collecting option

Price Range

The live FAMAS | Colony price range is $0.01 to $450.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a permanent price assigned to a particular exterior or version. Regular copies occupy a low-cost segment, while Souvenir copies provide a separate option for collectors to evaluate. Compare listings by exterior, precise float value and regular or Souvenir status, rather than assuming that a matching finish name means an equivalent item. When planning to buy, sell or trade, check current offers and item images instead of treating any displayed price as a permanent valuation.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Souvenir FAMAS | Colony copies can be obtained by opening a DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package or an EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. Opening is a chance-based route rather than a direct selection of this skin. The 16.03% Italy Collection chance should not be used as the probability for either souvenir package.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing FAMAS | Colony copy through the Steam Community Market rather than pursuing it through a package opening. Separate regular and Souvenir listings, then check the exterior and any available float information. A matching finish name alone does not establish that listings have the same condition or version.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading provides another route to an existing FAMAS | Colony copy. A trade can target a chosen exterior or Souvenir version without relying on a package opening. Confirm the item name, version and float before accepting, and compare the proposed exchange against current listings.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Regular copies occupy a low entry-price segment, while Souvenir versions give traders a separate category to evaluate. Professional ownership is established, but broader demand, listing depth and long-term price behavior remain uncertain. Practical buy, sell and trade comparisons should separate regular and Souvenir copies before matching exterior and float value.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Souvenir versions offer a distinct collecting angle

• Professional owners include kennyS, s1mple and TaZ

• Valve-designed finish with an established release history

• Factory New availability supports condition-focused collecting

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-poor, based on Consumer Grade rarity, low-priced regular copies and uncertain resale demand. Souvenir availability and professional ownership offer collecting appeal, but neither establishes a reliable case for price growth. The main risk is committing funds without evidence of sustained demand or a dependable resale margin.
