FAMAS | Dark Water

FAMAS | Dark Water is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist side, pairing dark aquatic stripes with a reflective metallic finish. Charcoal, black, and gray dominate the body, while silver highlights add contrast. Its subdued appearance suits players who prefer restrained rifle designs rather than bright colors. Buyers can choose Minimal Wear or Field-Tested copies, including Souvenir versions, but no StatTrak™ edition exists.

Description

FAMAS | Dark Water gives the Counter-Terrorist rifle a dark, water-inspired appearance in CS2. The weapon serves as a budget-conscious rifle option between more expensive rifles and SMGs. Its Anodized Multicolored finish combines irregular striping with metallic surfaces rather than illustrated artwork or vivid accents. The receiver, carry handle, and stock carry the main pattern, giving the weapon a consistent visual theme across its body. A lighter magazine and mostly black grip provide contrast without departing from the gray palette. This look suits players building a subdued loadout or seeking a rifle finish with visible texture instead of strong color. Available choices include regular and Souvenir copies, with condition limited to Minimal Wear and Field-Tested. Buyers can compare the exact float value, exterior, version, and listing image before choosing a copy to buy or trade.

History and Origin

FAMAS | Dark Water entered the game on December 3, 2020. Its release accompanied the Operation Broken Fang update, placing its origin in the CS:GO period rather than the CS2 era. It belongs to The Ancient Collection, which remains central to identifying its acquisition routes. Valve created the finish, so it is not attributed to a community designer. The skin also has a Souvenir edition available through 8 Souvenir Packages. These include the Stockholm 2021 Ancient Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Ancient Souvenir Package, linking that version to Ancient-themed tournament packages. Today, buyers can acquire existing copies through marketplace listings or player-to-player trades rather than relying on a random result. Trade Up Contracts offer another route to the collection's Mil-Spec Grade skins, although they do not guarantee this particular finish.

Finish Style

Dark Water uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, with charcoal metallic paint applied over a chrome foundation. Differences in reflectivity give the dark palette a mix of muted areas and brighter silver highlights. Irregular black and gray aquatic stripes extend across the receiver, carry handle, and stock. Broad patches alternate with narrow, wavy streaks, creating a flowing pattern rather than a uniform geometric design. The barrel stays mostly dark gray, keeping the front of the rifle visually restrained. Its curved magazine is lighter metallic gray, with vertical grooves that distinguish it from the patterned body. The pistol grip is largely black, while silver-gray edging around the trigger guard introduces a brighter detail. Together, the striped upper surfaces and plainer lower components create a subdued finish with contrast rooted in texture and reflectivity.

Float Value

FAMAS | Dark Water has a float range of 0.10 to 0.26, defining the available condition span for this finish. It comes only in Minimal Wear and Field-Tested, with no Factory New, Well-Worn, or Battle-Scarred exterior. Regular and Souvenir versions are available; version availability is separate from the copy's float value and exterior.

Rarity and Popularity

FAMAS | Dark Water is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from The Ancient Collection. Its acquisition chance within that collection is 0.8%, a figure that does not describe the outcome of a Trade Up Contract. KRIMZ, AZUWU, and torzsi are among the professional players who own the skin.

Why it’s Popular:

• Dark aquatic stripes suit restrained loadouts

• Metallic highlights add detail without bright colors

• Souvenir versions offer an alternative collecting option

• Owned by KRIMZ, AZUWU, and torzsi

Price Range

The live FAMAS | Dark Water price range is $2.18 to $16.84. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a particular exterior or version. Compare Minimal Wear and Field-Tested listings by their exact float values instead of relying on the exterior label alone. Check whether each offer is a regular or Souvenir copy before using it as a price reference. When deciding where to buy, sell, or trade, match the version and condition closely and inspect the item image alongside its CS2 skin price.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open an eligible Ancient Souvenir Package for a chance to receive the Souvenir version of this skin. Eligible packages include the Stockholm 2021 Ancient Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Ancient Souvenir Package, but opening either does not guarantee Dark Water.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can exchange 10 Industrial Grade skins from The Ancient Collection for 1 Mil-Spec Grade skin from that collection. FAMAS | Dark Water is a possible result, not a guaranteed one. The outcome is random among the collection's eligible Mil-Spec Grade skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a route to buy an existing FAMAS | Dark Water copy directly rather than seek a random package or contract result. Check the listing's exterior and whether it is a regular or Souvenir version before choosing an offer.

5. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain the skin through a player-to-player trade using items they already own. Before accepting, verify the exact finish, float value, exterior, and version so the offered copy matches the intended trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Regular and Souvenir copies give traders distinct options, while the restricted exterior range keeps condition comparisons focused on Minimal Wear and Field-Tested. Professional ownership provides some evidence of use, but it does not establish consistent resale demand or a reliable price trend. Future supply and buyer interest remain uncertain, so comparisons should center on the actual copy rather than assumptions about scarcity.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive dark metallic finish

• Established Ancient Collection identity

• Souvenir collecting options

• Owned by KRIMZ, AZUWU, and torzsi

The investment rating is medium, reflecting its modest price level, collection identity, and professional ownership rather than proven price growth. Souvenir availability adds collecting options, but the main risk is uncertain future demand and resale strength. Buyers should treat it as a playable or collectible skin without assuming appreciation.
