Tec-9 | Fuel Injector

Tec-9 | Fuel Injector is a CS2 pistol skin for the Terrorist-side Tec-9, combining a bright yellow body with dark mechanical detailing. Its engine-belt magazine pattern and stitched leather grip give the finish an automotive character. The look suits players who prefer bold color blocks and industrial details. All exteriors are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

Tec-9 | Fuel Injector brings an engine-inspired design to a CS2 pistol built for close-range encounters. The Tec-9's high magazine capacity fits its role as a weapon for a moving Terrorist. Its Gunsmith finish combines a yellow receiver with a dark upper assembly and mechanically decorated magazine. Large, uncluttered body panels provide contrast against the denser pulley and belt graphics below. The leather treatment on the grip adds another texture without breaking the yellow-and-black palette. This combination suits loadouts built around strong colors, workshop styling or automotive themes. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions provide different ownership options while retaining the Fuel Injector identity. Buyers can compare exterior, float value and version, then inspect the individual copy to decide whether its condition matches their preferences.

History and Origin

Tec-9 | Fuel Injector was released on August 18, 2016. It arrived with the Gamma 2 Case as part of the Gamma 2 Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer emu created the finish, giving the Tec-9 its yellow-and-mechanical appearance. The skin belongs to The Gamma 2 Collection, which also connects it to its trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Gamma 2 Case drops. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so the original acquisition route remains usable despite that retirement. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing copy through the Steam Community Market or player trades, while eligible trade-up contracts offer another possible route.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish uses an automotive theme built from painted panels, mechanical graphics and a leather grip treatment. Bright yellow covers the receiver, creating the main block of color across the pistol's body. Small black markings interrupt that surface, including a visible Tec-9 label above the magazine. The barrel shroud and upper assembly are dark gray to black, with circular ventilation holes and thin pale accents near the receiver. The long black magazine carries an engine-belt pattern, with circular pulley shapes providing its most recognizable mechanical details. A pale segmented strip runs down the magazine's left edge, adding a linear element alongside those round forms. The dark grip features a textured yellow inset surrounded by a dotted, stitch-like border that complements the hand-stitched leather styling. Together, the clean yellow panels and densely detailed darker parts give the design a clear contrast between painted bodywork and machinery.

Float Value

Tec-9 | Fuel Injector has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of the exterior categories is excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, but version availability is separate from the exterior condition and float value of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

Tec-9 | Fuel Injector is a Classified skin from The Gamma 2 Collection. Its chance of appearing from a Gamma 2 Case opening is 1.07%. Known professional owners include Snax, byali and tarik.

Why it’s Popular:

• Bright yellow receiver gives the pistol a distinct color identity

• Engine-belt graphics add detailed automotive styling

• Stitched leather grip complements the mechanical theme

• Full exterior range with StatTrak and Souvenir options

Price Range

The live Tec-9 | Fuel Injector CS2 skin price range is $8.23 to $79.19. These bounds cover the whole item, rather than a fixed exterior or version. Compare Factory New through Battle-Scarred listings separately, checking the exact float value instead of relying only on the exterior label. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should also be distinguished when choosing a listing to buy, sell or trade.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Gamma 2 Case

Opening the Gamma 2 Case offers a 1.07% chance of receiving Tec-9 | Fuel Injector. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Opening a case is a chance-based route rather than a direct purchase of this skin.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A trade-up contract uses 10 Restricted skins from The Gamma 2 Collection to produce 1 Classified skin from that collection. Fuel Injector is a possible outcome, but the result is random among the collection's Classified skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Tec-9 | Fuel Injector can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market instead of obtained through a case opening. Compare the exterior and version of the item, and inspect its float before selecting a particular copy.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading allows an existing owner to exchange a Fuel Injector for an agreed offer. Verify the skin's exterior, float value and version before accepting, especially when comparing it with another copy of the same finish.

Trading and Investment Considerations

With no new Gamma 2 Case drops, the remaining case supply shrinks as existing cases are opened. Openings and trade-up contracts can still introduce additional skins, so case retirement does not make the skin supply fixed. Professional ownership supports its visibility, but demand and price trends remain uncertain; comparisons should focus on the actual exterior, float and version being traded.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case supply with no new drops

• Known ownership among professional players

• Distinct yellow-and-mechanical Gunsmith design

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

Tec-9 | Fuel Injector receives a medium-to-good editorial investment rating. Retired case supply and known professional ownership support the assessment, while its distinctive finish gives collectors a clear visual reason to consider it. The main risk is uncertain future demand, with existing cases and trade-ups still able to add copies.
