Tec-9 | Blast From the Past

Tec-9 | Blast From the Past is a CS2 pistol skin with a Hydrographic finish inspired by ancient tiles. Pale green and beige shapes, dark outlines and orange-brown details create a mosaic-like look across the body. Its muted palette suits players building earth-toned loadouts. All exterior grades are available, with standard and Souvenir versions but no StatTrak™ option.

Description

Tec-9 | Blast From the Past brings an ancient-tile design to the Terrorist-side pistol in CS2. The Tec-9 itself supports mobile, close-range play and has a high magazine capacity. Its Hydrographic finish gives the weapon a patterned surface rather than a plain, single-color treatment. The artwork extends across the receiver, perforated barrel shroud and pistol grip, keeping the theme consistent across the main painted areas. A plain olive-green magazine provides a quieter contrast to the detailed body. The combination suits players who prefer muted colors while still wanting visible geometric detail on their pistol. Professional players frozen and mezii own the skin, although that ownership alone does not establish wider demand. Buyers can compare exterior condition, exact float value and standard or Souvenir versions when choosing a copy for play or collection.

History and Origin

Tec-9 | Blast From the Past was released in CS:GO on December 3, 2020, with the Operation Broken Fang update. It joined The Ancient Collection, which remains its collection identity in CS2. Valve created the design rather than a community designer. The Souvenir version is associated with 8 Souvenir Packages, giving it several package-based acquisition routes. Examples include the Stockholm 2021 Ancient Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Ancient Souvenir Package. Today, opening a relevant Ancient Souvenir Package offers a chance to obtain the Souvenir version, rather than guaranteeing this particular pistol. Trade-up Contracts provide another route through Industrial Grade skins from The Ancient Collection. Players can also obtain an existing copy through the Steam Community Market or a direct trade, separating its historical introduction from present-day buying options.

Finish Style

The Hydrographic finish uses an ancient-tile theme built from irregular shapes rather than a uniform geometric grid. Pale green and beige form the main color palette across the receiver, barrel shroud and grip. Dark brown outlines divide those shapes and make the tile arrangement easy to distinguish. Smaller orange-brown geometric details add another layer within the larger pattern. The motifs continue across the body and grip, creating a busy, mosaic-like appearance throughout the painted sections. On the perforated barrel shroud, the pale artwork sits alongside dark openings that interrupt the decorated surface. The long magazine is plain muted olive green, giving the patterned body a contrasting block of uninterrupted color. Dark gray or black areas around the muzzle and trigger complete the look without extending the tile artwork onto every visible part.

Float Value

The float value of Tec-9 | Blast From the Past ranges from 0.00 to 0.65. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior grade is missing. Standard and Souvenir versions are available, but there is no StatTrak version; version availability should be checked separately from a copy's exterior condition.

Rarity and Popularity

Tec-9 | Blast From the Past has the Mil-Spec Grade rarity classification, separate from its float value and exterior. Its acquisition chance from The Ancient Collection is 0.8%, about 1 in 125 outcomes. That chance does not guarantee this skin on any individual attempt.

Why it’s Popular:

• Pale green and beige suit muted, earth-toned loadouts

• Ancient-tile motifs give the pistol a distinct visual theme

• Every exterior offers another condition choice

• Souvenir versions provide an alternative for collection-focused buyers

Price Range

The live Tec-9 | Blast From the Past price range is $2.02 to $50.00. These bounds cover the whole item and are not fixed prices for particular exteriors or versions. Compare Factory New through Battle-Scarred listings by their exact float value, rather than relying only on the exterior label. Standard and Souvenir copies should also be compared separately when checking available offers. Before deciding where to buy, sell or trade, match the version and condition across listings to make the CS2 skin price comparison useful.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open a relevant Ancient Souvenir Package for a chance at the Souvenir version of this Tec-9. The Stockholm 2021 Ancient Souvenir Package and Antwerp 2022 Ancient Souvenir Package are examples, but opening either does not guarantee this skin.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade-up Contract uses 10 Industrial Grade skins from The Ancient Collection to produce 1 Mil-Spec Grade skin from that collection. Blast From the Past is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Mil-Spec Grade skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing copy through the Steam Community Market by selecting an available listing. Check the exterior and whether the item is standard or Souvenir, since buying directly avoids relying on a random acquisition result.

5. Trade with Other Players

The skin can also be obtained by trading with other players. Confirm the offered copy's exact float value, exterior and standard or Souvenir version before agreeing to the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Additional copies can be obtained through Souvenir Packages and Trade-up Contracts, while existing copies can change hands through purchases and direct trades. Professional ownership supports visibility, but it does not establish consistent demand or quick resale. Compare standard and Souvenir listings by exterior and float, treating long-term price direction and trading liquidity as uncertain.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Recognizable ancient-tile artwork and muted colors

• The Ancient Collection provenance

• Souvenir options alongside standard copies

• Ownership by frozen and mezii

• Availability across every exterior grade

Tec-9 | Blast From the Past earns a medium investment rating, supported by its modest price context, Souvenir options and professional ownership. Its acquisition routes remain available, so the skin should not be treated as a fixed-supply collectible. The main risk is uncertain market demand and resale speed, with no established long-term price trend to support a return forecast.
