Tec-9 | Brass

Tec-9 | Brass is a CS2 pistol skin for the Terrorist side, combining a brass-colored upper section with charcoal-gray lower components. Its yellow-gold highlights and darker olive-brown areas create a restrained metallic look rather than a bright graphic finish. The design suits players building understated loadouts around warm metal tones. It comes in every exterior, with standard and Souvenir versions available.

Description

Tec-9 | Brass gives the Terrorist-side pistol a Patina finish focused on selected brass components. The weapon itself is suited to close-range encounters and has a high magazine capacity. Visually, the upper receiver and perforated barrel shroud carry the main color, leaving the lower assembly dark. That division gives the pistol a clear contrast without covering every surface in decorative artwork. The finish suits players who prefer visible metal, simple shapes, and a muted palette over elaborate illustrations. Its place in The Inferno Collection also gives collectors a specific collection connection beyond the weapon's appearance. Buyers can choose between standard copies and Souvenir versions, depending on whether their priority is the finish or its package origin. Individual listings are worth comparing by exterior, exact float value, and version rather than treating every Brass copy as interchangeable.

History and Origin

Tec-9 | Brass was released in CS:GO on August 14, 2013. It arrived with The Inferno Collection as part of the Arms Deal update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. Alongside the standard skin, Souvenir versions provide a separate acquisition route through tournament souvenir packages. The skin appears in 8 Souvenir packages. These include Inferno Souvenir packages associated with ESL One Cologne 2014 and DreamHack 2014. Today, buyers can obtain existing copies through marketplaces or player trades, while Souvenir package openings and eligible trade-up contracts offer randomized acquisition routes.

Finish Style

The Patina finish uses brass components as the pistol's main visual feature rather than making the entire weapon gold. The upper receiver has a brass-colored surface with yellow-gold highlights interrupted by darker olive-brown areas. This uneven coloring gives the metal visual depth without relying on a printed motif. The barrel shroud shares that treatment, and its large round ventilation holes remain prominent within the colored section. A dark-gray muzzle provides a subdued endpoint against the warmer metal behind it. Below, the lower receiver, pistol grip, trigger guard, and long magazine are charcoal gray with lighter edges. Small stamped markings on the lower receiver and a recessed textured grip panel preserve visible mechanical detail. Together, these elements create a plain, restrained finish whose defining feature is the contrast between warm brass and dark lower components.

Float Value

The Tec-9 | Brass float range runs from 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior category is missing. Standard and Souvenir versions are available; version availability is separate from the skin's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

Tec-9 | Brass is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from The Inferno Collection, with rarity separate from its exterior and float value. Its acquisition chance from the collection is 1.61%, or about 1 in 62. Known professional owners include KRIMZ, seized, and SPUNJ, although ownership alone does not establish current market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Brass-colored upper components contrast clearly with the charcoal-gray lower assembly

• Restrained metallic styling suits understated Terrorist loadouts

• Every exterior is available for condition-based collecting

• Souvenir versions offer a tournament-package collecting option

Price Range

The live Tec-9 | Brass price range is $2.82 to $448.09. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Exterior, exact float value, and standard or Souvenir status are useful distinctions when comparing individual CS2 skin listings. Buyers should check the float within an exterior category rather than relying only on the condition label. Anyone planning to buy, sell, or trade should compare matching versions before using the overall range as a reference.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Opening an eligible Inferno Souvenir Package offers a chance to receive the Souvenir version of this skin. Inferno Souvenir packages from ESL One Cologne 2014 and DreamHack 2014 are eligible examples. The outcome is random, so opening a package does not ensure a Brass result.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A trade-up contract using 10 Industrial Grade skins from The Inferno Collection produces 1 Mil-Spec Grade skin from that collection. Tec-9 | Brass is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Mil-Spec Grade skins. This route targets the collection and rarity tier rather than guaranteeing the desired finish.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct purchase route for Tec-9 | Brass instead of a randomized collection outcome. Buyers can compare exterior labels and distinguish standard copies from Souvenir versions before choosing a listing.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading offers another way to obtain the pistol skin through an agreed item exchange. The exterior, exact float, and standard or Souvenir status should match the offered item before either side accepts the trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Market listings include standard and Souvenir copies across several exteriors, but current supply trends and demand growth are uncertain. Professional ownership adds visibility without proving that every version will be equally easy to sell. Traders should compare like-for-like listings and avoid treating the collection's historical release as evidence of future price increases.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Valve-created finish from The Inferno Collection

• Souvenir versions linked to named tournament packages

• Known ownership by KRIMZ, seized, and SPUNJ

• Distinctive brass contrast within a restrained design

Tec-9 | Brass receives a medium investment rating, supported by its Valve origin, Souvenir options, and known professional ownership. Those features provide collecting reasons, but they do not demonstrate sustained demand or a rising price trend. The main risk is uncertain supply and demand, so historical significance should not be treated as a promise of returns.
