SG 553 | Waves Perforated

SG 553 | Waves Perforated is a CS2 rifle skin for the Terrorist-exclusive scoped SG 553. Its muted blue-gray, olive-gray and charcoal finish combines irregular waves with dense perforated markings. The subdued colors suit players who prefer an intricate surface pattern without bright accents or illustrations. It comes in every exterior, with regular and Souvenir versions available but no StatTrak™ edition.

Description

SG 553 | Waves Perforated gives the Terrorist-side scoped rifle a muted, patterned finish in CS2. The weapon offers a scoped option for long-range engagements, while this skin keeps its appearance understated. Its Spray-Paint finish uses torn tape and perforated-metal stencils to create overlapping bands and small dark markings. Blue-gray, olive-gray and charcoal tones extend across the receiver, handguard, magazine, grip and stock rather than forming an isolated decorative panel. Pale vertical streaks on the magazine add a recognizable detail within the otherwise dense pattern. The look suits players who want a textured rifle with restrained colors and no visible lettering. Professional players f0rest, RUBINO and mixwell have owned the skin. Buyers can compare exterior condition, exact float value and regular versus Souvenir status when choosing a copy for their inventory.

History and Origin

SG 553 | Waves Perforated debuted in CS:GO on November 27, 2013. Its release formed part of the DreamHack 2013 update, placing its introduction alongside that named event. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. The skin belongs to The Lake Collection, which identifies its collection origin separately from its Souvenir package sources. Souvenir copies are associated with the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. Opening either named package provides a chance-based route to the Souvenir edition, rather than a guaranteed purchase of this particular rifle. Today, buyers can acquire existing copies through Eneba Skins, the Steam Community Market or player-to-player trades. Those routes allow selection of a specific item and exterior, unlike obtaining a result through a package opening.

Finish Style

The Spray-Paint finish combines stencil-made waves with a tightly packed perforated texture. Its palette stays within muted blue-gray, olive-gray and dark charcoal, giving the rifle a subdued overall appearance. Irregular bands cross the receiver and handguard, overlapping small dark dots and short perforated marks rather than following a uniform stripe layout. The magazine carries long, pale blue-gray streaks that run vertically through the dotted surface. Mottled bands also cover the barrel and scope, keeping those parts visually connected to the rest of the weapon. The grip and stock continue the same busy treatment instead of introducing a separate color block. Dark recesses and the muzzle opening provide contrast against the lighter painted areas. There is no visible lettering or standalone illustration, so the finish's character comes from its layered stencil shapes and consistent coverage.

Float Value

The float value range for SG 553 | Waves Perforated is 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior omitted. Regular and Souvenir versions exist, but there is no StatTrak edition; version availability is separate from a copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

SG 553 | Waves Perforated has Consumer Grade rarity, which describes its acquisition tier rather than its exterior or finish style. Its stated odds within The Lake Collection are 13.35%, without establishing the chance of receiving it from a particular Souvenir Package. Ownership by f0rest, RUBINO and mixwell adds recognizable professional connections, but does not make this Consumer Grade skin scarce.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted colors suit understated rifle loadouts

• Wavy bands and perforated markings create a detailed surface

• Every exterior is available

• Souvenir editions connect the finish to named tournament packages

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for SG 553 | Waves Perforated is $0.01 to $1,500.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than identifying a particular exterior or version. Regular copies offer a low-price entry point, while Souvenir listings should be compared separately because their version differs. Exterior and exact float value help distinguish individual offers, but neither replaces checking whether a copy is a Souvenir. Buyers comparing listings should match the version and condition they want before deciding which asking price fits their purchase.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

The DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package are acquisition sources for Souvenir copies of this skin. Opening a package is a chance-based route, so it does not offer the same control as choosing an existing listing. To obtain Waves Perforated directly, choose an existing Souvenir copy on the Steam Community Market or through a player trade.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market offers a direct purchase route for existing copies of SG 553 | Waves Perforated. Buyers should distinguish regular listings from Souvenir listings and select the desired exterior. Checking the individual item's float value helps make the comparison more specific than the exterior label alone.

4. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain Waves Perforated by exchanging items with another player. Before accepting a trade, the recipient should check the skin name, exterior, float value and whether the offered copy is a Souvenir. This route depends on finding a counterpart offering the desired version.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Regular copies occupy a low entry-price segment, while Souvenir copies warrant a separate comparison when players buy, sell or trade this skin. Exterior and float value should be checked alongside version, since the same finish name covers different listing conditions. Professional ownership offers visibility, but neither strong ongoing demand nor a shrinking supply trend is established.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Souvenir links to named tournament packages

• Valve-created finish from The Lake Collection

• Recognizable waves and perforated texture

• Professional ownership by f0rest, RUBINO and mixwell

The investment rating is medium-to-poor, reflecting Consumer Grade rarity, inexpensive regular listings and limited evidence for a scarcity-driven purchase. Souvenir options and professional ownership add collecting interest, but uncertain demand and supply trends remain the main risk. This is an editorial judgment, not a promise of returns.
