About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

A skin's exterior reflects its float value and cosmetic condition. Dragon Tech spans 0.00 to 0.70, but the actual listing image is still useful for judging a particular copy's appearance.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity is an item's grade and relates to its chance of appearing from a case. SG 553 | Dragon Tech is Restricted, with a stated 3.2% chance from the Recoil Case.

How much does SG 553 | Dragon Tech cost?

SG 553 | Dragon Tech ranges from $0.30 to $224.03. These bounds cover the whole skin; compare individual listings by exterior, float, and version.

What exteriors are available for SG 553 | Dragon Tech?

SG 553 | Dragon Tech comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Its float range is 0.00 to 0.70.

Which case contains SG 553 | Dragon Tech?

SG 553 | Dragon Tech comes from the Recoil Case. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened.

Does SG 553 | Dragon Tech have StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions?

Yes, SG 553 | Dragon Tech is available in both StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions, alongside the standard version. Check the listing's version separately from its exterior and float.

Short Description

SG 553 | Dragon Tech is a CS2 rifle skin featuring a green biomechanical dragon over a dark gray base. Turquoise details and small orange accents give its intricate artwork a technological character. The finish suits players who prefer colorful creature designs with mechanical detail. All exteriors are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

SG 553 | Dragon Tech applies a Custom Paint Job to the scoped, Terrorist-exclusive rifle in CS2. Its green and turquoise dragon artwork combines organic scale-like details with angular mechanical shapes. The receiver and magazine carry much of the illustration, giving the central body a dense visual character. Darker sections around the barrel and scope contrast with that colorful centerpiece. The design suits green-themed loadouts and players who favor elaborate artwork over a restrained weapon finish. The in-game flavor text reads "That's not my dragon…". Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions provide separate options when choosing a copy. Before buying, compare the float value, exterior, version, and listing images to find the combination that fits.

History and Origin

SG 553 | Dragon Tech was released on July 1, 2022, alongside the Recoil Case. Its introduction formed part of the Recoil Case Skins update, establishing the case as its original acquisition route. Aleks36 created the artwork as a Steam Workshop community designer. The finish belongs to The Recoil Collection, which also provides its collection-based trade-up route. The Recoil Case no longer drops following Valve's retirement of the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened, despite the end of new case drops. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing copy through marketplace listings or player trades rather than opening a case.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job depicts a green dragon through a combination of creature imagery and mechanical construction. Bright green and turquoise artwork covers the receiver and magazine against a dark gray background. Angular shapes and fine lines give the central design its technical detail. Scale-like elements keep the dragon theme visible within the dense mechanical pattern. Small orange accents along the upper section add another color without dominating the palette. The pistol grip continues the green artwork, while the stock carries green streaks and patches over black and gray components. The barrel, ribbed fore-end, and scope remain mostly dark, contrasting with the illustrated central body. Turquoise touches around the muzzle and scope rims connect those darker parts to the main design.

Float Value

The float value of SG 553 | Dragon Tech ranges from 0.00 to 0.70. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with none of these categories excluded. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions are available, but version choice is separate from the cosmetic condition indicated by float and exterior.

Rarity and Popularity

SG 553 | Dragon Tech has the Restricted rarity grade. Its stated chance from a Recoil Case opening is 3.2%, so opening a case does not guarantee this particular finish. Documented owners include professional players s1mple, shox, and daps, providing a professional ownership connection without establishing broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Green and turquoise dragon artwork with intricate mechanical details

• Dark front-end sections contrast with the colorful receiver

• All exterior categories available for different condition preferences

• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir options

Price Range

The live SG 553 | Dragon Tech price range is $0.30 to $224.03. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Its accessible price level makes it worth comparing individual listings rather than choosing solely by the lowest amount. Exterior and float identify condition, while standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir listings should be checked separately. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match those details and inspect the actual copy before buying.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Recoil Case

Open the Recoil Case for a chance to receive this Restricted rifle skin. The stated chance is 3.2%, so this route cannot guarantee Dragon Tech. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A trade-up contract can use 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Recoil Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Dragon Tech is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy SG 553 | Dragon Tech directly through a listing on the Steam Community Market. Check the listed exterior and version, then compare the specific float and item image where available. This route selects an existing copy rather than relying on a random case or contract result.

5. Trade with Other Players

Obtain the finish through a player-to-player trade using an existing copy. Confirm the item's exterior, float value, and version before agreeing to the exchange. Compare the offered copy with relevant listings instead of treating every Dragon Tech as interchangeable.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Case openings now use existing Recoil Case stock, although trade-up contracts remain another route to this finish. Buy, sell, and trade comparisons should separate standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies by exterior and float. Professional ownership is documented, but it does not establish trading volume, resale speed, or a future price trend.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new Recoil Case drops

• Accessible entry price

• Documented professional ownership

• Distinctive biomechanical dragon artwork

• Multiple versions and exterior choices

The investment rating is medium, balancing retired case supply, an accessible price level, and documented professional ownership. Trade-up availability means the finish is not limited solely to copies already circulating. The main risk is uncertain future demand, so these strengths should not be treated as a promise of resale gains.
