Short Description

SG 553 | Atlas is a CS2 rifle skin for the Terrorist-side scoped SG 553. Its muted olive camouflage, dark hardware and mustard-yellow markings create a tactical, geometric look. The finish suits players who prefer subdued colors with small contrasting details. Buyers can choose across all exterior grades, with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also available.

Description

SG 553 | Atlas brings angular camouflage to a scoped rifle used on the Terrorist side in CS2. The finish combines a muted main palette with narrow yellow accents rather than large, bright blocks of color. Olive green and near-black shapes give the body a military-inspired appearance. Its dark scope and barrel keep the main camouflage concentrated on the receiver and handguard. The marked magazine adds a separate point of contrast beneath the rifle. This look suits tactical loadouts and players who want detail without a brightly colored weapon body. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions give buyers different options to compare alongside exterior condition and float value.

History and Origin

SG 553 | Atlas arrived in CS:GO on April 27, 2016, alongside the Chroma 3 Case. It was introduced through the Chroma 3 Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer Centauri created the finish. The skin belongs to The Chroma 3 Collection, connecting its collection identity with its original case release. Its fictional backstory links the camouflage design to the Coalition Taskforce. That story describes Huxley's corporate espionage as the reason the design became exclusive to Phoenix. The Chroma 3 Case stopped receiving new drops when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, while marketplace purchases and player trades provide direct routes to an Atlas today.

Finish Style

Atlas uses the Custom Paint Job finish style to present a modern camouflage design. Angular shapes give the hydrographic camouflage a busy, geometric layout across the receiver and handguard. Muted olive green, dark gray and near-black form the main palette, keeping the body visually subdued. Small mustard-yellow markings and thin lines interrupt that pattern across the body and pistol grip. The dark magazine carries yellow diagonal striping along one side, with a pale gray strip along its front edge. The barrel and scope are mostly dark, providing a quieter contrast to the patterned body. Olive green continues onto the skeletal stock, which has a dark ribbed upper section. A mostly matte appearance and scattered stencil-like details complete the finish's technical, military-inspired character.

Float Value

The SG 553 | Atlas float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.81. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior grades is excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, with version type remaining separate from a copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

SG 553 | Atlas has Mil-Spec Grade rarity within The Chroma 3 Collection. Its chance of appearing from a Chroma 3 Case opening is 11.42%, making the case a chance-based route rather than a direct purchase. Documented owners include professional players tarik, chrisJ and Zeus.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted olive camouflage suits tactical loadouts

• Mustard-yellow details add contrast without dominating the rifle

• Dark scope and barrel balance the patterned body

• StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden the choice of versions

Price Range

The live SG 553 | Atlas price range is $0.15 to $25.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. Compare standard, StatTrak and Souvenir listings separately before checking each copy's condition. Within an exterior, inspect the listed float rather than treating every copy as identical. A useful CS2 skin price comparison matches the asking price to the exact version, exterior and float the buyer wants.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Chroma 3 Case

Open a Chroma 3 Case for a chance to receive Atlas, with a stated probability of 11.42%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be purchased and opened. Opening a case does not guarantee this particular skin.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy SG 553 | Atlas through the Steam Community Market by selecting an available listing. Check the exterior and whether the item is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir before purchasing. A direct listing lets buyers choose the item rather than rely on a case result.

4. Trade with Other Players

Atlas can also be obtained through trades with other players. Before accepting, verify the offered skin's exact name, exterior, float value and version. Compare those details with current listings when deciding whether the proposed exchange suits the buyer's intended loadout or trading plans.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The Chroma 3 Case no longer receives new drops, but opening existing cases can still add Atlas copies to circulation. Its low price level keeps purchase cost modest, although professional ownership does not establish how quickly listings sell. Buyers planning to sell or trade should compare exterior, float and version without assuming a reliable price trend.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case source limits future case supply

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive olive camouflage with yellow accents

• Available in StatTrak and Souvenir versions

The editorial investment rating is medium, balancing a retired case source and documented professional ownership against limited market evidence. Remaining cases can still create new copies, while the low price level alone does not establish demand or likely returns. The main risk is uncertain resale demand rather than a verified price trend.
