Gut Knife

The ★ Gut Knife is a Covert CS2 melee item with a silver-gray blade and reddish-brown handle panels. Its hooked blade, short spine serrations and grain-like handle texture give it a practical, understated appearance. The look suits players who prefer plain metal and muted colors over decorative artwork. Standard and StatTrak™ versions are available, but there is no Souvenir version.

Description

The ★ Gut Knife is a CS2 knife whose appearance centers on its blade shape rather than a colorful painted finish. A hooked cutout near the tip gives the broad silver-gray blade a distinctive profile. Short serrations near the handle add another visible detail along the spine, separate from the brighter curved cutting edge. Reddish-brown handle panels provide a warm contrast to the gray metal surrounding them. The absence of prominent text or colorful artwork suits loadouts built around restrained colors and straightforward equipment styling. Its gut hook reflects a tool design associated with field dressing game and cutting fibrous materials such as rope or webbing. Buyers can choose between standard and StatTrak versions rather than treating every listing as an identical purchase. Comparing the exact item title, version and current asking price helps players select a copy without assuming unsupported wear differences.

History and Origin

★ Gut Knife appears across several CS:GO-era weapon cases, although its exact item release date is unconfirmed. Its designer is unknown. CS:GO Weapon Case, Operation Bravo Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 2 and CS:GO Weapon Case 3 first sold on September 20, 2013. Winter Offensive Weapon Case first sold on December 18, 2013. Operation Phoenix Weapon Case followed on February 19, 2014. eSports 2013 Case, eSports 2013 Winter Case and eSports 2014 Summer Case first sold on July 9, 2014. Operation Vanguard Weapon Case first sold on November 5, 2014, and Revolver Case on November 30, 2015. These dates describe the associated cases' first sales, not a verified release date for the knife itself. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and none of these associated cases receives new drops. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, while existing knives remain obtainable through marketplace purchases and player trades.

Finish Style

The blade has a silver-gray face with cloudy mottling that gives the metal an uneven visual texture. Its curved cutting edge appears brighter, creating a clear boundary against the broader blade surface. Near the tip, the hooked cutout interrupts the outline and draws attention to the knife's defining shape. Short serrations occupy the spine near the handle rather than extending across its entire length. The handle panels are reddish-brown, with grain-like streaks that contrast with the cooler blade color. Three round metal fasteners punctuate the panels and reinforce the practical appearance. Gray metal borders the handle and continues into a rounded butt containing a circular hole. Together, these details create a simple equipment-like finish without colorful illustrations, prominent lettering or an elaborate decorative pattern.

Float Value

A verified numeric float range is unavailable for ★ Gut Knife, so no minimum or maximum can be quoted. No exterior tiers are confirmed for this item, and the blade's visible mottling should not be used to assign a wear category. Standard and StatTrak versions are available.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Gut Knife carries the Covert rarity grade and can be obtained through its associated weapon cases or existing marketplace listings. Exact opening odds for this particular knife are unconfirmed, so its grade should not be treated as an item-specific probability. Retired case sources restrict new case supply, but remaining cases can still produce additional knives when opened.

Why it’s Popular:

• Distinctive hooked blade profile

• Muted metal and reddish-brown color combination

• Detailed handle without colorful artwork

• Standard and StatTrak ownership options

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Gut Knife is — to —. These bounds cover the whole item and should not be assigned to a particular version. Compare standard and StatTrak listings separately, using each offer's current asking price rather than assuming equivalent values. Do not infer a float value or exterior tier from the blade's cloudy metal texture alone. Eneba Skins provides price comparison alongside listings, helping buyers check available offers before choosing where to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a compatible case for a chance at ★ Gut Knife, including CS:GO Weapon Case, Operation Bravo Case or Revolver Case. All associated cases have stopped dropping, although existing cases can still be bought and opened. An opening does not secure this specific knife, and exact item-specific odds are unconfirmed.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

★ Gut Knife can be bought on the Steam Community Market by selecting an existing listing instead of opening a case. Check the exact knife title and whether the offer is standard or StatTrak before committing to its listed price.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades provide another route to ★ Gut Knife through an agreed item exchange. Both parties should verify the knife and its supported version, then compare current asking prices before accepting the trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The associated cases receive no new drops, so openings reduce their remaining supply without replenishment from that drop pool. Existing cases can still yield additional knives, and verified demand trends or price history do not establish a short-term trading advantage. When buying, selling or trading, compare standard and StatTrak offers individually rather than assuming that version availability translates into equal pricing.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case sources receive no new drops

• Distinctive hooked blade and understated finish

• Standard and StatTrak collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium: retired case sources provide a supply-based reason to consider holding, but demand and price-history evidence are limited. Continued openings can add more knives even as the remaining case supply shrinks. The main risk is buying on scarcity alone without evidence that demand supports the purchase price.
