Gut Knife | Scorched

The ★ Gut Knife | Scorched is a CS2 knife skin with a mottled Spray-Paint finish. Charcoal gray, black and pale beige patches cover its hooked blade and handle, contrasting with a silver cutting edge. Its muted appearance suits players who prefer neutral colors and irregular patterns. All standard exteriors are available, alongside regular and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

The ★ Gut Knife | Scorched combines the Gut Knife model with an irregular, sun-dappled finish in CS2. Its defining feature is the gut hook along the spine, which gives the blade a distinctive silhouette. The hook's practical uses include field dressing game and cutting fibrous materials such as rope and webbing. Scorched gives the weapon a subdued palette rather than text, emblems or distinct illustrated artwork. This look suits neutral loadouts and players who favor a practical-looking knife over a graphic-heavy design. Regular and StatTrak versions provide separate buying options without changing the identity of the finish. Its available exteriors span Factory New through Battle-Scarred, allowing buyers to compare different cosmetic conditions. Exact float, exterior, version and inspected appearance are useful checks before choosing a particular listing.

History and Origin

The ★ Gut Knife | Scorched debuted in CS:GO on August 14, 2013, with the CS:GO Weapon Case. Its introduction accompanied the Arms Deal update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. Other source cases include the eSports 2013 Case, Operation Bravo Case and CS:GO Weapon Case 2. It also appears in the eSports 2013 Winter Case, Winter Offensive Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 3 and Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. Further sources are the eSports 2014 Summer Case, Operation Vanguard Weapon Case and Revolver Case. As of October 9, 2026, none of these cases drop, following Valve's rare drop pool retirement on December 17, 2025. Existing cases remain available to buy and open, separating its original release history from its current acquisition routes.

Finish Style

Scorched uses the Spray-Paint finish style to create soft-edged patches resembling broken sunlight across the weapon. Charcoal gray and black provide the darker areas, while pale beige creates the lighter contrast. The blade is mottled throughout, without a centered illustration, distinct artwork or lettering. A bright silver edge follows the curved cutting side, standing apart from the blade's patchy surface. The hooked spine carries the same mixed coloring as the rest of the blade. Dark and light patches continue onto the handle, with bright highlights following its curved contours. Three round fasteners line the handle, while a beige-gray end tab contains a circular hole. Together, these details give the knife a muted, utilitarian appearance built around irregular color placement.

Float Value

The float value of ★ Gut Knife | Scorched ranges from 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no standard exterior missing. Regular and StatTrak versions are available, while a copy's exterior describes its cosmetic condition rather than its version.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Gut Knife | Scorched has the Covert rarity grade. Its chance of being unboxed from the CS:GO Weapon Case is 0.0039%, which does not establish the odds for other compatible cases. Existing source cases and market listings remain acquisition routes despite the retirement of those cases from drops.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted charcoal, black and beige colors suit neutral loadouts

• Hooked blade gives the model a distinctive silhouette

• Soft-edged mottling offers an understated alternative to illustrated designs

• Regular and StatTrak versions accommodate different preferences

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Gut Knife | Scorched is $41.35 to $9,023.60. These bounds cover the whole item, rather than a fixed exterior or version. Compare individual listings by exterior, exact float value and regular or StatTrak status before judging their asking prices. When buying or selling, inspect the visible finish as well as the condition label, since a shared exterior does not specify an exact float.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open the CS:GO Weapon Case, Operation Bravo Case, Revolver Case or another compatible source case for a chance at this knife. These cases no longer drop, but existing copies can still be bought and opened. The CS:GO Weapon Case chance is 0.0039%, so opening it does not ensure this particular result.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market offers a direct buying route for an existing ★ Gut Knife | Scorched. Compare the exterior, version and exact item details rather than relying on the finish name alone.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading provides another way to obtain an existing copy of the knife. Confirm its float, exterior and regular or StatTrak version, then compare current listings before agreeing to the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

All source cases are retired from drops, although existing cases can still produce new copies when opened. Retired case supply alone does not establish rising demand or a reliable short-term trading opportunity. Buyers looking to buy, sell or trade should compare matching exteriors and versions rather than assume every Scorched copy has the same market position.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases receive no new drops

• Regular and StatTrak versions offer collecting choices

• Distinctive hooked blade and restrained finish

• Available across the full standard exterior range

The editorial investment rating is medium, balancing retired source cases with an accessible knife price level. The main risk is uncertain demand: shrinking case supply does not prove future price growth, and no established price trend supports a stronger verdict.
