Gut Knife | Lore

The ★ Gut Knife | Lore is a CS2 knife skin with a custom-painted gold blade and dark knotwork. Its deep olive handle and gold trim balance the intricate blade decoration with a relatively plain grip. The finish suits players building gold-and-green loadouts or choosing detailed blade artwork. Standard and StatTrak™ versions are available from Factory New through Battle-Scarred.

Description

The ★ Gut Knife | Lore is a Covert CS2 knife skin that pairs a gold-yellow blade with a deep olive handle. Its Custom Paint Job centers on interlacing knotwork rather than an undecorated metal surface. The Gut Knife's hooked spine gives the finish a distinctive outline, with decoration concentrated along the blade's curved lower section. A brighter cutting edge and dark pattern outlines separate the decorative band from the surrounding gold. This combination suits players who prefer ornate blade artwork without an equally elaborate handle. Professional players Rickeh, NEO and LUCAS1 have owned the skin. Buyers can choose a standard copy or a StatTrak version while retaining the same named finish. Individual listings are worth comparing by exterior, float value and version when selecting a knife for a coordinated loadout.

History and Origin

The ★ Gut Knife | Lore was released in CS:GO on June 15, 2016. It arrived with the Gamma Case through the "Gamma Case Skins" update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. Its visual design uses custom-painted knotwork on the Gut Knife's blade. The Gamma 2 Case also contains this knife finish, providing another case-opening route. Both source cases stopped dropping when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so retirement did not remove the knife's case-opening availability. Today, buyers can also obtain the finished skin directly through the Steam Community Market or through trades with other players.

Finish Style

The Lore finish uses a predominantly gold-yellow blade with a pale, bright cutting edge. A gold gut hook near the tip carries that color onto the blade's distinctive spine. Dense knotwork forms an interlacing band along the curved lower portion of the blade. Dark outlines define the woven shapes against the surrounding gold, making the decoration visually prominent. The remaining blade surface has a fine speckled texture rather than the same dense pattern. The handle is deep olive green, with darker mottled shading across its surface. Three dark fasteners punctuate the grip, which remains comparatively plain beside the decorated blade. Gold trim follows the handle's outline and surrounds the circular pommel opening, connecting the grip's detailing to the blade color.

Float Value

The ★ Gut Knife | Lore has a float range of 0.00 to 0.65. It comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior category is absent. StatTrak™ versions are available; version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition described by float and exterior.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Gut Knife | Lore has Covert rarity and a 0.0085% drop chance from the Gamma Case. That chance applies specifically to this skin from the Gamma Case, not to every knife result or the Gamma 2 Case. The finish remains obtainable through existing cases and has been owned by professional players Rickeh, NEO and LUCAS1.

Why it’s Popular:

• Gold blade decoration paired with a restrained olive handle

• Interlacing knotwork with clearly defined dark outlines

• Gold trim that ties the blade and handle together

• Standard and StatTrak options across the available exteriors

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Gut Knife | Lore is $65.98 to $301.68. These bounds cover the entire item rather than identifying a particular exterior or StatTrak version. Asking prices differ across exterior and version combinations, so the overall range is only a starting point. Buyers can narrow comparisons to matching exteriors and then check each listing's exact float value. Before choosing where to buy, compare the actual listing price and confirm whether the copy is standard or StatTrak.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Gamma Case or Gamma 2 Case for a chance to obtain the knife; neither guarantees this specific finish. Both cases remain available to buy and open despite no longer dropping, and the Gamma Case chance for this skin is 0.0085%.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The ★ Gut Knife | Lore can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market, avoiding a random case outcome. Check the listing's exterior, float and standard or StatTrak designation to identify the version being purchased.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading is another way to acquire the finish from someone who already owns it. The exact knife offered should match the agreed exterior, float and version before the trade is accepted.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Both source cases are retired from drops, but existing unopened cases can still produce additional copies of the knife. Professional ownership provides visibility, although it does not establish current buying demand or a reliable price trend. For a buy, sell or trade decision, compare matching exteriors, float values and StatTrak status rather than treating every listing as interchangeable.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Source cases no longer receive new drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive gold knotwork and olive handle

• Standard and StatTrak options across all exteriors

The investment rating is medium, supported by retired source cases, professional ownership and a distinctive finish. The main risk is uncertain resale demand: existing case openings can still add supply, and there is insufficient price history to establish a trend.
