Nova | Walnut

Nova | Walnut is a CS2 skin for the Nova shotgun, a Heavy weapon. Its medium-brown wood grain contrasts with a dark metal barrel and receiver. The restrained finish suits players who prefer traditional weapon styling over elaborate graphics. Regular and Souvenir versions are available across all exterior categories.

Description

Nova | Walnut gives the CS2 shotgun a traditional wood-and-metal appearance through its Custom Paint Job finish. The walnut treatment focuses on the stock and pump fore-end rather than covering the entire weapon in color. Dark metal components provide a subdued background for the irregular grain and grooved surfaces. This combination suits loadouts built around neutral colors and natural-looking materials. Owners include professional players SPUNJ, NEO, and Skadoodle, although ownership alone does not establish current market demand. Buyers can choose between regular copies and Souvenir versions associated with compatible packages. The exterior selection extends from Factory New through Battle-Scarred, allowing condition to guide the purchase. Comparing the exact float value and version helps distinguish listings that otherwise share the same finish name.

History and Origin

Nova | Walnut was released on August 14, 2013, as part of The Inferno Collection. Its introduction accompanied the Arms Deal update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. Beyond its original collection release, the skin is available in Souvenir form through 8 packages. ESL One Cologne 2014 Inferno Souvenir Package is among those sources. Another compatible source is the DreamHack 2014 Inferno Souvenir Package. Today, listed copies can be purchased on the Steam Community Market or acquired through trades with other players. Opening a compatible Souvenir Package provides another acquisition route, but does not guarantee this particular skin.

Finish Style

The Walnut finish uses a Custom Paint Job to create a restrained contrast between brown furniture and dark metal. Medium-brown coloring covers the stock and pump fore-end, giving those parts a consistent visual connection. Darker, uneven grain markings interrupt the brown surfaces and provide the finish's central decorative detail. Closely spaced grooves add texture along the fore-end and across the grip behind the trigger. The barrel, receiver, and magazine tube remain dark gray to black rather than sharing the walnut coloring. Light accents along their edges make the outlines visible against the dark surfaces. A dark trigger guard and end pad on the stock continue that understated treatment. Most of the visual detail comes from the grain and grooves, keeping the overall design simple rather than heavily illustrated.

Float Value

Nova | Walnut has an exact float range of 0.06 to 0.80. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Regular and Souvenir versions are available, with version choice separate from the float value and exterior that describe cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

Nova | Walnut is a Consumer Grade skin from The Inferno Collection. Its acquisition chance from that collection is 40.32%. That collection figure should not be treated as package-specific odds when considering a Souvenir Package opening.

Why it’s Popular:

• Warm wood grain paired with dark metal

• Traditional styling without elaborate graphics

• Factory New through Battle-Scarred exterior options

• Souvenir availability for package-focused collectors

Price Range

The live Nova | Walnut price range is $1.07 to $1,000.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Exterior and exact float value deserve separate checks because an exterior label does not identify a listing's precise condition. Regular and Souvenir copies should also be compared separately rather than assuming the version alone determines the CS2 skin price. Inspect the stock and fore-end in listing images alongside those details before choosing an offer.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Opening a compatible Souvenir Package offers a chance at a Souvenir Nova | Walnut, not a guaranteed result. Sources include ESL One Cologne 2014 Inferno Souvenir Package and the DreamHack 2014 Inferno Souvenir Package. The 40.32% collection chance does not establish the odds for these package openings.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct route to buying a listed Nova | Walnut without opening a package. Check the exterior and whether the offered copy is regular or Souvenir. Compare its exact float value where available rather than treating every copy within an exterior as identical.

4. Trade with Other Players

A player-to-player trade can exchange existing items for a Nova | Walnut. Confirm the exterior, float value, and regular or Souvenir status of the offered copy before agreeing. Trading targets a specific item instead of relying on the uncertain result of a Souvenir Package opening.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Market listings include regular copies in several exteriors alongside Souvenir options, giving buyers multiple variants to compare. Professional ownership provides visibility, but current demand, price trends, and future supply are not established. Before buying to sell or trade later, compare the specific exterior, float, and version rather than relying on the finish's release date.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Professional ownership by SPUNJ, NEO, and Skadoodle

• Souvenir versions linked to named tournament packages

• Distinctive walnut grain and understated dark metal

• Valve-created finish from The Inferno Collection

The investment rating is medium, an editorial assessment supported by professional ownership and the choice of regular or Souvenir copies. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, while Consumer Grade rarity and the 40.32% collection chance weaken a scarcity-led investment argument.
