Nova | Toy Soldier

Nova | Toy Soldier is a CS2 skin for the Nova shotgun in the Heavy category. Its olive-green Custom Paint Job uses raised details, small labels, and a star emblem to suggest a miniature military toy. The restrained design suits green loadouts and players who prefer solid colors over busy patterns. All exterior conditions are available, along with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

Nova | Toy Soldier gives the Nova shotgun a painted toy-soldier appearance in CS2. Its Custom Paint Job centers on olive green, with lighter highlights and darker shading adding definition to the weapon. The hand-painted green theme draws on the appearance of childhood military toys rather than elaborate graphics. Color extends across the barrel, receiver, pump, grip, and stock, giving the weapon a consistent visual identity. Cream-colored receiver labels and a raised star emblem add small points of interest without overwhelming the main color. The Nova itself is a low-cost weapon suited to ambush play when team funds are limited. This finish suits players building a military-green loadout or looking for a playful theme with restrained detailing. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value, and version when choosing a copy for play or collecting.

History and Origin

The skin debuted in CS:GO on August 1, 2018, alongside the Horizon Case. Its release formed part of the Horizon Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer hexeth created the finish. It belongs to The Horizon Collection, which also provides its collection-based trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Horizon Case drops. Existing Horizon Cases remain available to buy on the market and open, keeping that acquisition route separate from new case supply. Current CS2 copies can also be purchased through marketplaces or obtained through player-to-player trades. Trade-up contracts provide another way to obtain the skin, although the result is not guaranteed.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job uses predominantly olive-green paint to create its toy-soldier character. The barrel and receiver carry the same central color as the stock, keeping the design visually connected. Lighter yellow-green accents trace raised edges and make the weapon's contours easier to distinguish. Darker green shading sits within the grooves of the ribbed pump and grip. Small cream-colored rectangular labels with dark lettering introduce fine detail on the receiver. A pale metallic area remains visible through the ejection port, contrasting with the surrounding green. The stock features a raised circular emblem containing a star, reinforcing the miniature military theme. Solid-colored surfaces, molded-looking ridges, and compact markings define the finish instead of a dense repeating pattern.

Float Value

Nova | Toy Soldier has a float range of 0.00 to 1.00. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior tier is excluded. Both StatTrak and Souvenir versions exist, with version choice separate from the cosmetic condition described by float and exterior.

Rarity and Popularity

Nova | Toy Soldier is a Restricted skin in The Horizon Collection. Its stated chance from the Horizon Case is 3.2%, or about 1 in 31 openings, so opening the case does not guarantee this finish. Professional players allu, NEO, and daps have owned the skin, providing documented ownership without establishing broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Olive-green styling built around a familiar toy-soldier theme

• Raised star emblem and molded-looking details

• Every exterior tier available for different condition preferences

• StatTrak and Souvenir options for collectors

Price Range

The live Nova | Toy Soldier price range is $0.56 to $16.99. Exterior, exact float value, and version are useful starting points when comparing the CS2 skin price across listings. Factory New through Battle-Scarred copies are available, alongside StatTrak and Souvenir choices. Buyers should match those attributes when comparing asking prices, rather than treating every copy of the finish as equivalent. These skin-wide bounds are not fixed quotes for any particular exterior or version.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Horizon Case

Opening a Horizon Case offers a chance to receive Nova | Toy Soldier, with a stated probability of 3.2%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A trade-up contract can exchange 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Horizon Collection for 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Toy Soldier is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Nova | Toy Soldier can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market instead of pursuing a random case or contract result. Buyers should check the listing's exterior and version, then compare the available condition information before selecting a copy.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading offers another route to Nova | Toy Soldier by exchanging items with another owner. Both sides should verify the offered skin's exterior, float value, and version before agreeing to the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retirement limits Horizon Case supply, but existing case openings and trade-up contracts can still produce additional copies of the skin. Available listings include several exteriors and StatTrak options, placing condition and version at the center of practical comparisons. Its accessible price level does not establish resale demand, so buy, sell, and trade decisions should account for uncertain future interest.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired Horizon Case supply

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive olive-green toy-soldier finish

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

A medium investment rating balances retired case supply and documented professional ownership against limited evidence of sustained resale demand. The main risk is uncertain future demand, while existing cases and trade-up contracts can still create copies without ensuring rising prices.
