Nova | Tempest

Nova | Tempest is a CS2 shotgun skin with a deep-blue finish and pale wave-and-cloud patterns. Its detailed receiver and stock contrast with a relatively plain barrel and dark pump. The muted maritime look suits blue loadouts and players who prefer flowing patterns over bright accents. Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested copies are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

Nova | Tempest is a cosmetic finish for the Nova shotgun in CS2's Heavy weapon category. The underlying weapon is a budget-friendly option for ambushes, while the skin adds a storm-inspired appearance. Its hydrographic design combines a deep-blue base with pale gray-green waves and clouds. Large curling shapes give the receiver and stock their main visual identity. The darker pump provides a restrained contrast rather than extending the patterned treatment across the entire shotgun. This finish suits players building a blue-themed inventory or looking for a subdued maritime design. Its available exteriors give buyers a choice of condition without extending into Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred. Before choosing a copy, compare the float value, exterior and standard, StatTrak or Souvenir version against the intended loadout.

History and Origin

Nova | Tempest was released on September 19, 2013, in the Operation Bravo update. It arrived with the Operation Bravo Case, which remains its case-opening source. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. The skin belongs to The Bravo Collection, connecting its collection identity with that release. Its original theme references Seaside, expressed through the wave-and-cloud artwork rather than a separate acquisition route. Today, existing copies can be purchased through marketplaces or exchanged with other players. The Operation Bravo Case no longer drops after Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, existing cases can still be bought and opened, but no new cases enter through drops.

Finish Style

Tempest uses a Hydrographic finish to carry its wave-and-cloud motif across the shotgun's body. Deep blue covers the receiver and stock, with pale gray-green shapes standing out against that base. Broad curling outlines occupy the receiver and the rear portion of the stock. Finer sweeping lines cross the narrow grip area, keeping the pattern detailed where the weapon's profile becomes slimmer. The barrel stays blue and relatively plain, with dark sights interrupting its outline. A blue cap at the front of the magazine tube continues the main color without adding another patterned area. The ribbed pump fore-end is dark gray to black, with a light gray ring near its front. Most of the decorative work sits on the rear half, creating a clear contrast between patterned furniture and simpler forward components.

Float Value

The float value range for Nova | Tempest is 0.06 to 0.22. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear and Field-Tested, with no Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred copies. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, so version choice should be checked separately from the exterior and individual float value.

Rarity and Popularity

Nova | Tempest is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from The Bravo Collection. It has a 13.32% chance of appearing when the Operation Bravo Case is opened. Documented owners include allu, mixwell and bondik, although professional ownership alone does not establish current demand or how quickly a listing will sell.

Why it’s Popular:

• Deep-blue colors suit muted, coordinated loadouts

• Wave-and-cloud artwork gives the shotgun a distinct maritime theme

• Detailed rear sections contrast with a plain barrel and dark pump

• StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden the choice for collectors

Price Range

The live Nova | Tempest price range is $4.10 to $80.00. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed exterior or version. A desired exterior narrows the search, while the individual float value helps distinguish copies within that condition category. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir listings should be compared separately rather than treated as interchangeable purchases. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match the version and exterior, then inspect the listing's float, image and asking price.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Bravo Case

Open the Operation Bravo Case for a chance to obtain Tempest. The chance is 13.32%, so an opening does not ensure this specific skin. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, although the case no longer drops.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Nova | Tempest can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a case result. Search for the desired exterior and check whether the listing is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir. Confirm the item details before purchasing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Tempest can also be obtained through a trade with another player who owns it. Compare the offered copy's exterior, float value and version with the intended item before accepting. This route targets an existing copy rather than a random result from opening a case.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retirement of the Operation Bravo Case means no new cases drop, although existing cases can still produce additional Tempest skins when opened. Professional ownership provides a documented connection to competitive players, but evidence of current demand trends or resale speed is missing. Buyers looking to buy, sell or trade should compare equivalent versions and exteriors without assuming a reliable resale margin.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case source with no new drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• StatTrak and Souvenir options for collectors

• Valve-created finish from The Bravo Collection

Nova | Tempest receives a medium investment rating, balancing retired case supply against a 13.32% chance from existing case openings. Its professional ownership and available versions support collector interest, but they do not establish a price-growth trend. The main risk is buying on scarcity alone while existing cases can supply more skins and future buyer demand remains uncertain.
