Nova | Sobek's Bite

Nova | Sobek's Bite is a CS2 shotgun skin in the Heavy category, featuring gold-and-black Egyptian-inspired artwork. Symbols decorate the receiver, while overlapping scales give the stock a detailed, textured appearance. The look suits players who prefer ornamental designs with a dark base rather than bright, solid colors. It comes in every exterior, with standard and Souvenir versions available but no StatTrak™ option.

Description

Nova | Sobek's Bite gives the Nova shotgun an Egyptian-inspired design through a Gunsmith finish. Its dark foundation supports gold decoration without covering every weapon part in equally dense artwork. The receiver carries symbols and geometric borders, making it a focal point of the design. An overlapping scale pattern extends the ornamental theme onto the stock, with dark green and brown sections beneath gold outlines. The relatively plain barrel provides a visual contrast to those decorated areas. This combination suits a player looking for a detailed shotgun finish with a restrained overall palette. Buyers can choose from the full exterior range rather than being limited to selected condition tiers. When comparing copies, the useful distinctions are exact float value, exterior, standard or Souvenir version, and the appearance shown in the listing.

History and Origin

Nova | Sobek's Bite was released on April 24, 2023, in the Anubis Skins update. It belongs to The Anubis Collection, which also defines the collection used for its trade-up route. Its creator, apel8, is a Steam Workshop community designer. The Egyptian-inspired artwork is accompanied by flavor text that connects water with emerging chaos. Souvenir availability includes the Paris 2023 Anubis Souvenir Package, providing a route to the Souvenir version. The Copenhagen 2024 Anubis Souvenir Package is another supported option, with 4 compatible Souvenir packages in total. Today, buyers can select a listed copy on the Steam Community Market or acquire one through a player trade. Trade Up Contracts offer an additional collection-based route, although their result is not guaranteed to be this Nova finish.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish combines a mostly black foundation with gold Egyptian-inspired decoration. The barrel and magazine tube remain largely dark, with gold bands positioned near the muzzle and front end. Thin gold lines follow the ridges of the black fore-end, emphasizing its ribbed shape. On the receiver, gold symbols sit alongside geometric borders that organize the detailed artwork. Small reddish accents run along the top, adding another color without replacing the dominant black-and-gold scheme. The stock carries large overlapping scales, each outlined in gold across dark green and brown sections. Those sections give the stock a more varied palette than the long barrel. Overall, the visual detail is concentrated on the receiver and stock, while the simpler barrel keeps the design from appearing uniformly busy.

Float Value

The float value range for Nova | Sobek's Bite is 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so none of these condition tiers is missing. Standard and Souvenir versions are available; version availability is separate from the exterior condition of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

Nova | Sobek's Bite has the Restricted rarity grade within The Anubis Collection. Its acquisition chance from that collection is 0.21%, making a random attempt different from buying a specific listed copy. Known professional owners include acoR, Nodios, and Queenix, although ownership alone does not establish the strength of trading demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Gold Egyptian-inspired symbols against a dark receiver

• Overlapping scales give the stock a distinctive look

• All exterior tiers provide varied condition choices

• Souvenir availability adds another collecting option

Price Range

The live Nova | Sobek's Bite CS2 skin price range is $3.87 to $73.49. These bounds cover the whole item rather than a fixed exterior or version. Compare the exterior label and exact float together, since the label alone does not identify an individual copy. Standard and Souvenir listings should also be checked separately rather than treated as interchangeable purchases. Before choosing where to buy, compare current asking prices and inspect the listing image to decide whether that particular copy matches the intended look.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open a compatible Anubis Souvenir Package for a chance at a Souvenir Nova | Sobek's Bite. Options include the Paris 2023 Anubis Souvenir Package and Copenhagen 2024 Anubis Souvenir Package. There are 4 compatible packages in total, but opening one does not guarantee this finish.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can use 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Anubis Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from the same collection. Sobek's Bite is a possible result, but selection is random among that collection's Restricted skins. This route involves accepting an uncertain result instead of selecting the exact Nova copy beforehand.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy Nova | Sobek's Bite on the Steam Community Market by selecting a listing for the intended exterior and version. Check the exact float and item image before choosing, especially when comparing standard and Souvenir copies.

5. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player to obtain an existing Nova | Sobek's Bite rather than pursuing a random collection result. Confirm the offered item's exterior, float, and standard or Souvenir status before agreeing to the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Standard and Souvenir copies give buyers different versions to compare, while documented professional ownership offers limited evidence of player interest. For a buy, sell, or trade decision, compare the exact float, exterior, version, and current asking price rather than the item title alone. Listing depth, supply direction, and long-term price trends remain uncertain, so professional ownership should not be mistaken for established demand.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive Egyptian-inspired gold and black artwork

• Standard and Souvenir collecting options

• Full exterior range for condition-focused buyers

• Documented professional ownership

The editorial investment rating is medium, reflecting its accessible price level, distinctive finish, and documented professional ownership. Souvenir options provide another collecting route, but uncertain supply and price trends do not support a stronger outlook. The main risk is future demand failing to sustain asking prices, so its appearance and ownership record should not be treated as a promise of returns.
