AUG | Surveillance

AUG | Surveillance is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist AUG, featuring a map pattern beneath an overhead targeting overlay. Muted blue-green surfaces and thin ochre lines give the weapon a restrained, technical appearance. The finish suits players who prefer detailed tactical graphics over bright colors. It comes in Factory New through Battle-Scarred, with regular and Souvenir versions available.

Description

AUG | Surveillance brings reconnaissance-style artwork to the scoped AUG rifle in CS2. The underlying weapon pairs power and accuracy with tightly grouped shots and rapid firing, offset by a lengthy reload. Its map-based finish spreads across the receiver, stock, and grips rather than covering every component equally. Pale markings and circular targeting details add a surveillance display over the colored body. The mostly dark barrel and scope provide a quieter contrast to the dense linework. Professional players tarik, FlameZ, and yuurih are documented owners, although that does not establish broader market demand. The design suits a loadout built around muted colors, technical graphics, and visible detail without a bright palette. Buyers can compare exterior condition, exact float value, and regular or Souvenir status when choosing a copy for play or trading.

History and Origin

AUG | Surveillance was released on December 3, 2020, as part of The Control Collection. Its introduction accompanied the Operation Broken Fang update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer contributing the artwork. The surveillance theme connects the skin's name with a map layout and an overhead targeting display. Its flavor text reinforces that concept by describing the successful identification of a target. Today, the Steam Community Market provides a direct route to buying an existing copy. Player-to-player trades offer another way to acquire the finish from an owner, with the particular copy's condition remaining relevant. Its in-game flavor text is "Target acquired".

Finish Style

Surveillance uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, with its visual identity centered on map graphics and a targeting overlay. A muted blue-green base covers the receiver, stock, pistol grip, and vertical foregrip, giving the main body a consistent color scheme. Thin ochre lines and angular outlines form the dense map pattern across those surfaces. Small pale markings introduce lighter details within the linework without replacing the subdued base color. Circular targeting-style elements make the overhead display distinct from the map beneath it. The magazine contrasts with the body through a light gray surface, a dark rectangular grid, and a blue-green base. The barrel, scope, and upper mounting hardware remain mostly dark gray, with lighter metallic highlights visible on those components. This separation between patterned bodywork and relatively plain hardware keeps the visual focus on the reconnaissance graphics rather than uniformly covering the rifle.

Float Value

The AUG | Surveillance float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.60. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, covering the full set of exterior labels. Regular and Souvenir copies are available, but there is no StatTrak™ version; exterior condition and Souvenir status are separate details to check.

Rarity and Popularity

AUG | Surveillance has Consumer Grade rarity, with a recorded 16.0% acquisition chance from The Control Collection. That collection probability is not a guaranteed result or confirmation that the original acquisition route remains available today. Documented professional owners include tarik, FlameZ, and yuurih, providing ownership context without establishing the skin's resale demand or likely investment performance.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted blue-green colors suit restrained tactical loadouts

• Dense map graphics give the rifle a technical identity

• Targeting details reinforce the surveillance theme

• Regular and Souvenir options offer different collecting choices

Price Range

The live AUG | Surveillance price range is $0.73 to $2.32. These bounds cover the skin as a whole, rather than fixing a price for any named exterior or version. Compare listings by exterior and exact float value before deciding whether an asking price suits the desired condition. Identify Souvenir copies separately from regular versions, and use the specific listing when assessing a CS2 skin price for buying, selling, or trading.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market is a direct purchase route for AUG | Surveillance. Before buying, check the offered exterior and float value, then confirm whether the copy is regular or Souvenir. Purchasing an existing listing allows selection of a particular item rather than relying on the collection's recorded acquisition chance.

3. Trade with Other Players

AUG | Surveillance can also be acquired through trades with other players. Match the proposed copy's exterior, float value, and regular or Souvenir status to the item being sought. When trading away the skin, evaluate the actual offer rather than treating the overall price range as an exact trade value.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Professional ownership is documented, but broader buyer demand, listing depth, and the direction of supply are not established. The modest Field-Tested price level offers an accessible entry point without proving resale strength across other exteriors or Souvenir versions. Compare copies by condition and version before buying, selling, or trading, and do not treat ownership by known players as evidence of reliable returns.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Valve-created finish from The Control Collection

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Souvenir option alongside regular copies

• Distinctive map artwork and targeting details

The investment rating is medium-to-poor, reflecting an inexpensive Consumer Grade skin with distinctive artwork but limited evidence of broader market strength. Professional ownership and the Souvenir option provide reasons to consider it as a play skin or collection purchase. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, since neither a supply trend nor a price history is established.
