AUG | Amber Fade

AUG | Amber Fade is a CS2 skin for the Counter-Terrorist scoped assault rifle, featuring a reflective metallic color fade. Muted green and yellow-gold transition into amber and copper-orange across the receiver and stock. The understated design suits players who prefer warm colors and smooth finishes over artwork or lettering. It comes in Factory New through Well-Worn, with regular and Souvenir versions but no StatTrak™ option.

Description

AUG | Amber Fade gives the CS2 AUG rifle a metallic finish built around smoothly blended colors. The scoped weapon delivers tightly grouped, rapid fire, balanced by a comparatively long reload time. Its receiver and stock carry the main color treatment, keeping the decorative focus on the rifle's body. Dark gray components frame those colored surfaces without extending the fade across every weapon part. The Anodized Airbrushed finish uses transparent color over a chrome base, producing a reflective appearance rather than an illustrated design. This look suits players building a warm-toned loadout or looking for a rifle with restrained visual detail. Buyers have several exterior choices, allowing condition preferences to guide the search for a suitable copy. Souvenir availability also gives collectors a distinct version to consider alongside the regular skin. When comparing listings, the useful details are the exterior, individual float value, version and visible condition rather than the finish name alone.

History and Origin

AUG | Amber Fade was released on September 21, 2021. The skin was introduced with the Operation Riptide update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. The skin belongs to The 2021 Train Collection, which remains an important identifier when browsing collection-specific items. Its accompanying flavor text links the rifle's decorative appeal to Imogen, an aspiring arms dealer. The original release date describes its history, not the terms of a current marketplace purchase. Today, buyers can obtain an existing copy through the Steam Community Market and choose among the versions offered there. Player-to-player trading provides another route, with the agreed exchange depending on the particular copy rather than its original release circumstances.

Finish Style

The Anodized Airbrushed treatment layers translucent color over chrome, giving the painted sections a metallic character. Muted green and yellow-gold occupy portions of the receiver and stock, establishing the cooler end of the fade. Toward the rear, those colors blend into amber and copper-orange without a sharp dividing line. Bright highlights across the colored surfaces reinforce the reflective appearance of the underlying finish. The barrel, scope, upper rail and forward grip remain mostly dark gray, framing the brighter body treatment. Dark green-gray on the trigger guard and pistol grip keeps the lower components visually subdued. A pale gray magazine introduces a prominent raised grid texture beside the smoother-looking colored surfaces. Rather than using artwork or lettering, the design relies on gradual color transitions and contrasts between the painted body and darker hardware.

Float Value

AUG | Amber Fade has an exact float range of 0.00 to 0.40, defining the condition range available for this finish. Its exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn, with no Battle-Scarred option. Regular and Souvenir versions exist; version choice is separate from the cosmetic condition described by the exterior and float.

Rarity and Popularity

AUG | Amber Fade carries the Mil-Spec Grade rarity classification, which is separate from its exterior condition and individual float value. Its collection outcome chance is 11.45%, or about 1 in 9, within The 2021 Train Collection. Regular and Souvenir availability gives buyers a version choice, but neither that choice nor the collection odds establishes how many copies are currently for sale.

Why it’s Popular:

• Warm amber and copper tones with a reflective metallic finish

• Smooth color transitions without artwork or lettering

• Dark hardware contrasts with the brighter receiver and stock

• Souvenir availability adds a collecting option

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for AUG | Amber Fade is $1.24 to $5.35. These bounds cover the finish as a whole, rather than assigning a price to any particular exterior or version. Buyers can narrow comparisons to Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested or Well-Worn copies before checking each listing's individual float value. Regular and Souvenir listings should be compared separately because version and cosmetic condition describe different aspects of the item. Matching those details makes a buy or sell comparison more useful than relying on the overall range alone.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Buy on the Steam Community Market

AUG | Amber Fade can be purchased directly on the Steam Community Market by selecting an available listing. Check the exterior and whether the copy is regular or Souvenir before comparing its asking price with other listings. This route lets buyers choose an existing item rather than rely on a collection outcome.

3. Trade with Other Players

The skin can also be obtained by trading with another player who owns a copy. Check the exact exterior, float value and version of the offered item before agreeing to the exchange. A shared finish name does not make regular and Souvenir copies interchangeable for comparison purposes.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Supply and demand are uncertain, so the finish's collection identity alone does not establish a resale advantage. For a buy, sell or trade decision, compare like-for-like exteriors and distinguish regular copies from Souvenir versions. Future resale value should not be inferred from the metallic appearance or release date alone, especially without a clear price history.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive amber and copper metallic finish

• Valve-created entry in The 2021 Train Collection

• Souvenir versions offer an additional collecting option

• Multiple exteriors accommodate different condition preferences

AUG | Amber Fade receives a medium investment rating, based on its distinctive finish, collection identity and available Souvenir option. These traits provide collecting appeal, but they do not establish sustained demand or a profitable resale opportunity. The main risk is committing funds without clear evidence about supply, buyer demand or future price movement.
