AUG | Ricochet

AUG | Ricochet is a CS2 rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist AUG, featuring bright turquoise knotwork over a dark gray base. Its interlocking lines suit players who prefer detailed patterns and a cool-toned loadout. All exteriors from Factory New to Battle-Scarred are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

AUG | Ricochet gives the Counter-Terrorist scoped assault rifle a patterned body while leaving much of its upper assembly visually restrained. The AUG combines accuracy, low spread and a fast firing rate, balanced by a lengthy reload. Ricochet's turquoise lines create a strong color contrast against the dark gray receiver, stock and grips. The mostly plain barrel and scope provide a visual break from the dense design across the body. A light gray magazine introduces another texture, with rectangular detailing and turquoise accents near its lower end. This finish suits players who want angular decoration and looping shapes rather than a largely plain rifle body. Its complete exterior range gives buyers several cosmetic conditions to consider without changing the underlying design. When comparing listings, separate the exterior and float value from the standard, StatTrak or Souvenir version being offered.

History and Origin

AUG | Ricochet was released on December 11, 2015, establishing its origin well before its current marketplace availability. It arrived alongside the Revolver Case in the Revolver Case Skins update. The design is credited to emti, a Steam Workshop community designer. Its collection affiliation is The Revolver Case Collection, linking the finish to that case's selection of weapon skins. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Revolver Case drops. That retirement affects the supply of source cases, rather than removing existing Ricochet copies from circulation. Existing Revolver Cases can still be purchased on the market and opened for a chance at the skin. Buyers seeking the rifle itself can instead acquire an existing copy through the Steam Community Market or a player-to-player trade.

Finish Style

Ricochet uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, with a turquoise-and-dark-gray palette built around intertwined knotwork. The receiver and stock carry broad areas of the pattern, making the decoration visible across the rifle's main body. Both the pistol grip and vertical foregrip continue the turquoise design instead of remaining plain. Interlocking angular bands sit alongside looping lines, giving the artwork a mixture of sharp turns and curved connections. The barrel, scope and upper mounting hardware are mostly dark gray, contrasting with the more densely decorated lower surfaces. Lighter metallic highlights add variation to those upper components without becoming the finish's main color feature. The light gray magazine has a rectangular grid texture, with turquoise patterning concentrated around its lower end. Together, these placements create a busy body and grip area framed by a comparatively restrained barrel and scope.

Float Value

AUG | Ricochet has a float range of 0.00 to 0.80, covering the cosmetic conditions available for this finish. It comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of those exteriors is missing. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are available, but version availability is separate from the float value and exterior of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

AUG | Ricochet is a Mil-Spec Grade skin from The Revolver Case Collection. Its stated chance from a Revolver Case opening is 13.32%, making the case a chance-based acquisition route rather than a direct purchase. Professional players Snax, Xyp9x and apEX have owned the skin, providing documented examples of use without establishing current market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Bright turquoise knotwork stands out against the dark gray body

• Patterned grips continue the design across the rifle

• Mostly plain scope and barrel balance the busy finish

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer different collecting options

Price Range

The live AUG | Ricochet price range is $0.25 to $20.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a permanently assigned exterior or version. Compare the exterior label and exact float value when assessing the cosmetic condition represented by a listing. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should be checked separately rather than treated as interchangeable offers. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match the version and condition first, then inspect the individual copy before choosing where to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Revolver Case

Open a Revolver Case for a chance to receive AUG | Ricochet, with a stated probability of 13.32%. The case no longer drops, so openings depend on existing cases that can still be bought on the market. Opening one does not guarantee this particular skin.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing AUG | Ricochet directly through the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a case result. Check the listing's exterior and version, and verify the individual copy's float and appearance before selecting it.

4. Trade with Other Players

AUG | Ricochet can also be acquired through a trade with another player who owns a copy. Confirm the item name, exterior and whether the offered skin is standard, StatTrak or Souvenir before accepting the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

No new Revolver Cases enter through drops, although opening existing cases can still add Ricochet copies to circulation. Professional ownership demonstrates use, but does not establish current buyer demand, sales speed or a reliable price trend. Anyone looking to buy, sell or trade should compare exterior, float and version individually rather than assume all copies share the same market position.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Source case no longer receives new drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinct turquoise knotwork on a dark base

• StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden collecting choices

The investment rating is medium, reflecting an accessible price level, documented professional ownership and a retired source case. Its Mil-Spec Grade rarity and continued openings of existing cases limit the scarcity argument. Future demand and price direction remain uncertain, so case retirement alone is not a reason to expect returns.
