AUG | Sand Storm

AUG | Sand Storm is a CS2 skin for the Counter-Terrorist scoped assault rifle. Its sandy-yellow body fades into dark, swirling artwork, with red-orange accents across the hardware. The atmospheric finish suits players who prefer desert colors and detailed weapon art. Regular and Souvenir versions are available across every exterior, but there is no StatTrak™ version.

Description

AUG | Sand Storm gives the Counter-Terrorist AUG a Gunsmith finish depicting a sand storm beneath a night sky. The rifle offers accurate, rapid fire, balanced by a long reload time. Its artwork contrasts a pale upper body with dark, flowing streaks across the stock and lower grip. Red-orange fittings add distinct color breaks around the receiver, foregrip, and magazine base. The subdued scope and barrel keep the illustrated body visually prominent. This finish suits a desert-colored loadout without relying on a uniform tan surface. Regular copies offer the artwork itself, while Souvenir versions provide an event-linked collecting option. Buyers can compare exterior, float value, and version when choosing a copy to use, collect, or trade.

History and Origin

AUG | Sand Storm was released on September 21, 2021, in the Operation Riptide update. It entered the game as part of The 2021 Mirage Collection. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer. Its original artwork combines a desert storm with the darker setting of a night sky. The accompanying flavor text encourages noticing beauty that might otherwise go overlooked. Today, existing copies can be acquired through marketplace purchases or trades with other players. Souvenir versions are associated with Mirage event packages, including the Stockholm 2021 Mirage Souvenir Package. Trade Up Contracts offer another route through the collection, although the Restricted result is random rather than guaranteed to be Sand Storm.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish presents its storm scene as flowing, layered artwork across the AUG's body. Pale sandy-yellow coloring covers the upper section, with bright highlights tracing the top. Across the stock and lower grip, that light surface fades into dark brown and black swirls. These sweeping streaks give the design a sense of movement instead of a flat desert camouflage appearance. The barrel is dark gray near the muzzle and muted green closer to the receiver. Red-orange accents mark the upper receiver fittings, vertical foregrip, small stock details, and magazine base. The curved magazine combines a pale green upper section with a gray lower section and a visible rectangular grid. A dark gray scope completes the palette without drawing attention away from the storm artwork.

Float Value

AUG | Sand Storm has a float value range of 0.00 to 0.50. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Souvenir versions are available; version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

AUG | Sand Storm is a Restricted skin from The 2021 Mirage Collection. Its acquisition chance from the collection is 0.21%, making a random collection outcome an uncertain route to this particular finish. Professional players known to own it include s1mple, Brollan, and dumau.

Why it’s Popular:

• Flowing sand-storm artwork beneath a night-sky theme

• Sandy highlights contrasted with dark swirls and red-orange hardware

• Souvenir options linked to Mirage event packages

• Every exterior available for different condition preferences

Price Range

The live AUG | Sand Storm price range is $14.39 to $381.11. These bounds cover the whole skin, not fixed prices for particular versions or exteriors. Compare regular and Souvenir listings separately so the version label stays part of the valuation. Check the actual float and inspect the individual copy rather than relying only on its exterior category. When preparing to buy, sell, or trade, use matching versions and conditions for a practical CS2 skin price comparison.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open a Mirage Souvenir Package for a chance at a Souvenir AUG | Sand Storm. The skin is available through 8 Souvenir packages, including the Antwerp 2022 Mirage Souvenir Package. Opening a package does not guarantee this particular skin.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can use 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The 2021 Mirage Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from that collection. The outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins, with Sand Storm among the possible results.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

AUG | Sand Storm can be purchased through listings on the Steam Community Market. Compare the offered exterior, float value, and regular or Souvenir version before choosing a copy, rather than judging the listing by its title alone.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading provides a way to exchange other items for an existing Sand Storm. Confirm the exact version, exterior, and float of the offered copy before accepting, especially when comparing it with marketplace alternatives.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Regular and Souvenir listings give traders different versions to compare, but their availability alone does not establish strong demand. Ownership by s1mple, Brollan, and dumau offers professional visibility, not proof of predictable resale performance. Future supply and long-term price trends remain uncertain, so compare like-for-like copies before committing to a trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive, layered sand-storm artwork

• Souvenir options from Mirage event packages

• Ownership by professional players

• Full exterior selection for different collecting preferences

AUG | Sand Storm receives a medium investment rating, supported by its distinctive artwork, Souvenir availability, and professional ownership. Existing regular and Souvenir listings provide comparison options, but do not demonstrate a rising price trend. The main risk is uncertain future supply and resale demand, so visual appeal should not be treated as a promise of returns.
