AUG | Colony

AUG | Colony is a CS2 skin for the Counter-Terrorist scoped assault rifle, finished in pale khaki and contrasting gray. Its plain color blocks and mostly matte appearance suit players building a restrained, military-style loadout. The finish is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred. Buyers can choose regular or Souvenir copies, but there is no StatTrak™ version.

Description

AUG | Colony gives the Counter-Terrorist scoped assault rifle a subdued, two-color appearance in CS2. The Colony finish uses Solid Color styling, with separately painted components rather than decorative artwork. Pale khaki covers much of the body, while dark gray emphasizes the barrel, scope, and upper hardware. A textured gray magazine adds visible geometry without introducing another graphic or illustration. This look suits players who prefer neutral equipment colors over detailed artwork on their rifle. Documented professional ownership provides another point of interest, without establishing how frequently the skin is used today. Buyers can compare the exterior and individual float value to identify the exact copy behind a listing. Regular and Souvenir versions also offer different ownership options while retaining the same underlying Colony finish.

History and Origin

AUG | Colony was released on November 27, 2013. Its introduction came with the DreamHack 2013 update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. It belongs to The Mirage Collection, which remains relevant when identifying the item in current listings. The Souvenir version is associated with 15 Souvenir Packages. Examples include the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and the EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. Today, existing copies can be purchased on the Steam Community Market or obtained through trades with other players. Opening a compatible Souvenir Package is another acquisition route, distinct from selecting an existing copy with a known exterior and float.

Finish Style

Colony uses a Solid Color finish that separates the rifle into khaki and gray sections. The main body, shoulder stock, and integrated pistol grip carry the pale khaki yellow color. Dark gray covers the barrel, receiver, scope, and mounting rail, giving the upper assembly a contrasting appearance. The vertical foregrip uses a lighter gray, separating it visually from the darker hardware above. The gray magazine has a raised rectangular grid along its sides, adding texture to the otherwise plain design. Small dark fittings interrupt the khaki body, including a rectangular panel near the top of the stock. There is no visible artwork or lettering competing with the shapes of the weapon's components. The mostly matte-looking surfaces keep attention on the contrast between the light body and subdued gray parts.

Float Value

The AUG | Colony float value ranges from 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, covering the full listed condition range. Regular and Souvenir copies are available; version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition described by float and exterior.

Rarity and Popularity

AUG | Colony has Consumer Grade rarity and belongs to The Mirage Collection. Its stated Mirage Collection outcome chance is 13.35%, which is not a stated probability for any particular Souvenir Package. Professional owners include flusha, fnx, and tarik, although their ownership alone does not establish current trading demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted khaki and gray suit restrained rifle loadouts

• Solid Color styling keeps the design free of artwork

• Souvenir versions offer an additional collecting option

• Documented ownership by flusha, fnx, and tarik

Price Range

The live AUG | Colony price range is $1.00 to $144.00. These bounds cover the skin as a whole, not a permanently assigned exterior or version. Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred listings should be compared separately rather than treated as interchangeable purchases. The individual float value identifies condition within an exterior, while Souvenir status distinguishes the version being offered. When buying or selling, compare like-for-like listings and inspect the item details before using the overall CS2 skin price range as a reference.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open a compatible Souvenir Package for a chance to obtain a Souvenir AUG | Colony. Examples include the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and the EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. This route offers a package opening rather than direct selection of a copy with a particular exterior and float.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

AUG | Colony can be purchased on the Steam Community Market. Compare the listed exterior and float instead of relying on the finish name alone. Confirm whether the offered copy is regular or Souvenir, since those are the available versions.

4. Trade with Other Players

AUG | Colony can also be obtained through a player-to-player trade for an existing copy. Before exchanging items, confirm its exterior, float value, and whether it is a regular or Souvenir version. Compare the offered item with current listings to assess the terms without assuming a fixed resale value.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Regular and Souvenir copies give traders distinct versions to compare, alongside the available exteriors. Documented professional ownership adds context, but does not establish current buyer demand, resale speed, or a trend in market supply. Before buying to sell or trade later, compare each listing's float and version rather than treating the overall price range as a return forecast.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Valve-created finish from The Mirage Collection

• Origins in the DreamHack 2013 update

• Souvenir versions provide an additional collecting option

• Documented professional ownership by flusha, fnx, and tarik

The editorial investment rating is medium, supported by documented professional ownership, Mirage Collection origins, and the available Souvenir version. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, so neither professional ownership nor the live price range should be treated as evidence of future returns.
