Short Description

MAG-7 | Popdog is a CS2 shotgun skin for the Counter-Terrorist-exclusive MAG-7. Its receiver resembles a weathered train car, mixing olive-brown panels, faded teal patches, yellow edging, and a Pop Dog illustration. The industrial artwork suits players who prefer detailed, muted finishes over bright color schemes. All exterior grades are available, alongside standard, StatTrak™, and Souvenir versions.

Description

MAG-7 | Popdog gives the Heavy-category shotgun a custom-painted train-car appearance in CS2. The underlying weapon specializes in close-range damage, making its design relevant to Counter-Terrorist shotgun loadouts. Its magazine-style reload also gives the weapon a practical tactical role beyond its appearance. The finish turns the receiver into a collection of mechanical panels, labels, and painted markings. A faded Pop Dog illustration provides a recognizable focal point without dominating the entire weapon. Muted colors and busy surface details suit players building an industrial-looking inventory. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir options let buyers choose a version separately from cosmetic condition. The skin belongs to The CS20 Collection and carries the Mil-Spec Grade rarity. Buyers can compare exterior, float value, version, and listing images before deciding which copy to buy.

History and Origin

MAG-7 | Popdog was released on October 18, 2019, in the CS20 Case Skins update. It arrived through the CS20 Case as part of The CS20 Collection. Steam Workshop community designer madpoly created the finish. Its visual concept centers on a train car carrying Pop Dog artwork, rather than an abstract pattern. The historic release route differs from current availability, since existing skins can now be bought or traded directly. The CS20 Case no longer drops following Valve's retirement of the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened, so the end of new case drops has not removed that acquisition route.

Finish Style

Popdog uses the Gunsmith finish style and presents the receiver as the side of a train car. Dark olive-brown panels establish the base palette, with faded teal patches breaking up the surface. Yellow edging follows the top of the receiver and adds a narrow contrasting accent. Panel seams, ribbed sections, circular markings, and small pale labels create the mechanical detailing. Near the middle, a light rectangular panel carries the faded Pop Dog illustration. The barrel and muzzle remain dark metal, contrasting with the broad, muted gray-green front grip. Pale gray-green surfaces continue around the lower grip and magazine area. Dark ribbed panels and yellow-brown marks give those lower sections additional texture and color variation. Together, these details create a busy, weathered-looking design, while the condition of an individual copy still requires inspection.

Float Value

The MAG-7 | Popdog float range runs from 0.00 to 0.80. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior grade excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, but version availability is separate from the exterior and cosmetic condition of a particular listing.

Rarity and Popularity

MAG-7 | Popdog is a Mil-Spec Grade skin in The CS20 Collection. Its chance from the CS20 Case is 11.42%, although existing cases must now be purchased or otherwise acquired because new cases no longer drop. Documented professional owners include RUBINO, tarik, and koosta, but ownership alone does not establish market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Train-car artwork gives the shotgun a distinct industrial identity

• Muted olive, teal, and yellow suit understated loadouts

• Pop Dog illustration adds character to the mechanical detailing

• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions offer different ownership options

Price Range

The live MAG-7 | Popdog price range is $0.13 to $20.00. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than any fixed exterior or version. Its low price level makes it an accessible option for a budget-focused shotgun loadout. Compare Factory New through Battle-Scarred listings by their exact float value, version, and visible condition rather than exterior names alone. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, check individual standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir listings instead of assuming a fixed price order.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the CS20 Case

Open an existing CS20 Case for a chance to obtain MAG-7 | Popdog. The skin's stated chance is 11.42%, so an opening does not guarantee this result. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy MAG-7 | Popdog directly on the Steam Community Market to select an existing copy instead of relying on a case result. Check the listing's exterior and version, then inspect its float and appearance where available. A direct purchase allows selection of this skin specifically.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player who already owns MAG-7 | Popdog. Confirm the offered item's exterior, float, and whether it is standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir before accepting. This route depends on finding a suitable owner and agreeing on the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired CS20 Case receives no new drops, but openings of existing cases can still add Popdog copies to circulation. Professional ownership provides visibility without proving strong resale demand, and there is no established price trend to support a short-term flip. When buying, selling, or trading, compare the available versions and exact floats rather than treating every copy as interchangeable.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired CS20 Case supply receives no new drops

• Distinctive train-car artwork with a Pop Dog focal point

• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir collecting options

• Documented ownership by professional players

MAG-7 | Popdog receives a medium investment rating, supported by retired case supply, distinctive artwork, and documented professional ownership. Its low price level makes it approachable, but does not by itself create a strong investment case. The main risk is uncertain resale demand while existing case openings can continue increasing skin supply.
