MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum is a CS2 shotgun skin for the Counter-Terrorist side. Its colorful receiver uses stepped geometric patterns inspired by iridescent bismuth crystals, contrasting with mostly gray grips and barrel. The look suits players who prefer bright, intricate artwork over a restrained weapon finish. All exterior grades are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum brings a multicolored Gunsmith finish to a Counter-Terrorist shotgun in CS2. The weapon is built around heavy close-range damage, making it a close-quarters option rather than a ranged specialist. Its magazine-style reload gives the underlying shotgun another practical feature beyond the cosmetic finish. The painted receiver carries the visual identity, with nested shapes and bright outlines standing apart from the gray hardware. This combination suits loadouts built around teal, purple, magenta, or gold without covering every weapon part in color. The skin belongs to The Operation Riptide Collection, giving collection-focused buyers a clear place for it. Professional owners include s1mple, tarik, and bondik, providing documented ownership without establishing wider demand. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float, and version to choose between a playing copy and a collection-focused purchase.

History and Origin

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum was released on September 21, 2021. It arrived with the Operation Riptide update and the Operation Riptide Case. Steam Workshop community designer cimota created the finish. Its collection identity is The Operation Riptide Collection, which also matters for its Trade Up Contract route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, the Operation Riptide Case no longer drops, separating its historical release from current case availability. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened for a chance at the skin. Current acquisition routes also include Trade Up Contracts, Steam Community Market purchases, and trades with other players.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish centers on a multicolored receiver inspired by the stepped structure of iridescent bismuth crystals. Teal and blue shapes sit alongside purple, magenta, and gold, creating a densely patterned surface. Thin bright outlines trace nested rectangles across the receiver's sides. Geometric bands continue along the upper edge, reinforcing the layered appearance of the artwork. The barrel is mostly dark gray, with colored accents concentrated around its base. A large, curved pale gray foregrip provides a quieter visual area beneath the colorful body. The pistol grip and magazine are mostly dark gray, while the magazine base is light gray. This separation between vivid artwork and plain gray components keeps the receiver as the finish's visual focus.

Float Value

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum has a float value range of 0.00 to 0.60. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior grades are missing. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, but version should be checked separately from cosmetic condition when comparing copies.

Rarity and Popularity

MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum is a Restricted skin from The Operation Riptide Collection. Its opening chance from the Operation Riptide Case is 3.2%, making case opening a random acquisition route rather than a direct purchase. Documented professional owners include s1mple, tarik, and bondik, although that ownership alone does not establish broad market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Bright bismuth-inspired artwork with distinctive stepped geometry

• Colorful receiver contrasted against restrained gray components

• Every standard exterior grade available

• StatTrak and Souvenir options for different collecting preferences

Price Range

The live MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum price range is $1.61 to $17.57. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed pairing of particular exteriors or versions. Factory New through Battle-Scarred options give buyers several condition choices within the same finish. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies should be compared as separate versions rather than treated as identical listings. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, check the exact float alongside the exterior label before choosing a listing.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Riptide Case

Open an existing Operation Riptide Case for a chance at this finish. The case no longer drops, but previously acquired cases can still be bought on the market and opened. The skin's opening chance is 3.2%, so this route does not secure a specific result.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can exchange 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Operation Riptide Collection for 1 Restricted skin from that collection. BI83 Spectrum is a possible outcome, but the result is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum through listings on the Steam Community Market. Match the listed exterior and version to the intended purchase rather than selecting by finish name alone.

5. Trade with Other Players

The skin can also be obtained through a trade with another player. Confirm the offered copy's exterior, float, and standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir status before accepting the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired case limits fresh case supply, but existing openings and Trade Up Contracts can still produce this skin. Professional ownership is documented, while trading volume and long-term demand remain uncertain. Compare exterior, exact float, and version before deciding to buy, sell, or trade, rather than assuming every copy serves the same buyer.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source case receives no new drops

• Distinctive bismuth-inspired receiver artwork

• Documented ownership by s1mple, tarik, and bondik

• Supported StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium, balancing a retired source case and professional ownership against continued skin creation through openings and trade-ups. Its modest price level makes it approachable as a play skin, but does not establish future appreciation. The main risk is uncertain demand, with no price history or trading-volume evidence supporting a growth forecast.
