Short Description

The MAG-7 | Hard Water is a CS2 skin for the Counter-Terrorist shotgun in the Heavy category. Its gray-and-black pattern combines overlapping shapes with bright blue accents near the muzzle and rear sight. The finish suits players who prefer detailed patterns within a restrained color palette. It comes in Factory New through Well-Worn, with standard, StatTrak™, and Souvenir versions available.

Description

MAG-7 | Hard Water gives the Counter-Terrorist shotgun a patterned finish for CS2. The weapon combines strong close-range damage with magazine-style reloads, making the skin an option for players who favor that tactical role. Hard Water pairs gray and black abstract detailing with brighter blue accents. Its receiver and grip form the visual focal point, while the plain handguard gives the surrounding pattern room to stand out. The palette suits gray, black, or blue loadouts without covering every weapon part in the same color. Available exteriors run from Factory New through Well-Worn, offering condition choices within the finish's supported float range. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir options make version selection relevant alongside exterior when choosing a copy. Buyers comparing listings can check the exact float value, version, and visible finish rather than treating every example as interchangeable.

History and Origin

MAG-7 | Hard Water debuted on May 23, 2017, alongside the Operation Hydra Case. Its release was part of the Operation Hydra update in CS:GO. Nannou created the finish as a Steam Workshop community designer. The skin belongs to The Operation Hydra Collection. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Operation Hydra Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, so retirement did not remove the case-opening acquisition route. Today, individual copies can also be bought on the Steam Community Market or acquired through player trades.

Finish Style

Hard Water uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, combining a gray-toned pattern with contrasting blue highlights. Irregular shapes overlap across the receiver and grip, with curved lines breaking up the darker patches. The upper receiver is mostly dark, while thin, pale outlines trace its edges. Bright blue surrounds the barrel near the muzzle, concentrating a strong color accent at the front of the weapon. Another blue highlight appears on the rear sight, visually connecting the front and rear details. The front handguard remains plain gray, providing a quieter surface beside the busy receiver. Pale blue and white areas appear on the trigger guard and magazine, interrupted by darker blocks. Together, these placements create a detailed central pattern balanced by simpler surfaces and clearly separated blue accents.

Float Value

The float value range for MAG-7 | Hard Water is 0.00 to 0.45. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, and Well-Worn, with no Battle-Scarred option. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions are available, and those version labels should be considered separately from the copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

MAG-7 | Hard Water has Mil-Spec Grade rarity within The Operation Hydra Collection. Opening the Operation Hydra Case gives an 11.42% chance of obtaining this skin. It is owned by kennyS, although that professional ownership alone does not establish how widely the skin is bought or traded.

Why it’s Popular:

• Gray-and-black pattern with distinct blue accents

• Detailed receiver balanced by a plain handguard

• StatTrak and Souvenir options

• Exterior choices from Factory New through Well-Worn

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for MAG-7 | Hard Water is $3.05 to $30.00. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a particular exterior or version. Compare Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, and Well-Worn listings alongside each copy's exact float value. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions are separate choices, so the version label matters when comparing prices. A useful buy or sell comparison matches both exterior and version, with the actual listing determining the price of that copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Hydra Case

Opening an Operation Hydra Case can produce MAG-7 | Hard Water, with an 11.42% chance for the skin. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Opening is a chance-based route rather than a way to select a particular copy.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

MAG-7 | Hard Water can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market instead of obtained through a case opening. Inspect the offered copy's exterior, float value, and version before choosing a listing. Direct purchase allows selection of a listed item without relying on the case's random result.

4. Trade with Other Players

The skin can also be obtained by trading with other players who already own a copy. Before agreeing to a swap, compare the offered exterior, float value, and standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir version to ensure the item matches the intended purchase.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The Operation Hydra Case no longer drops, so new case-opening supply of this skin depends on existing cases. Ownership by kennyS provides a professional-player connection, but it does not establish broad demand or historical price growth. For a buy, sell, or trade decision, compare matching exteriors and versions rather than assuming the full price range describes equivalent copies.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Operation Hydra Case no longer drops

• Ownership by kennyS

• Distinctive gray pattern with blue accents

• StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden variant choice

The editorial investment rating for MAG-7 | Hard Water is medium. Case retirement provides a supply argument, while its available versions and professional ownership offer reasons to consider the skin. The main risk is uncertain demand: restricted case supply alone does not demonstrate future price gains or reliable resale.
