AK-47 | Wintergreen

The AK-47 | Wintergreen is a CS2 rifle skin pairing dark green metalwork with dark brown wooden furniture. Its plain color treatment and visible wood grain suit understated loadouts without decorative artwork. The skin comes in every exterior, from Factory New to Battle-Scarred. Standard and Souvenir versions are available, but there is no StatTrak™ option.

Description

The AK-47 | Wintergreen is a CS2 skin for the Terrorist-side rifle, with a restrained green-and-brown palette. Its Wintergreen finish separates the green receiver, barrel assembly, and pistol grip from the brown stock and handguard. A dark gray magazine adds another neutral tone, with raised ribs and metallic highlights giving it visible structure. There is no lettering or decorative artwork competing with the weapon's shape, making the design straightforward and uncluttered. This look suits players who prefer solid colors and familiar material textures over illustrated finishes. Valve created the skin for The Boreal Collection, giving it a defined collection identity alongside its visual style. Souvenir availability offers a separate version to consider, while standard copies provide the same underlying finish without that designation. Before choosing a copy to buy, sell, or trade, compare its exterior, exact float value, version, and visible condition.

History and Origin

Wintergreen was released on March 31, 2025, as part of the Spring 2025 Skins update. It arrived with The Boreal Collection, which remains its collection identity in CS2. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer, so its origin is not a community-submitted design. Its accompanying flavor text presents envy as a weakness, adding a brief thematic note to the otherwise restrained appearance. Today, collection membership matters practically because Industrial Grade items from The Boreal Collection can serve as trade-up inputs. Those contracts can produce Wintergreen, but the result is random among the collection's Mil-Spec Grade skins. Buying an existing copy on the Steam Community Market is another route, allowing selection of a particular listed item. Player-to-player trading also makes existing copies obtainable without relying on a random contract result.

Finish Style

Wintergreen uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, with distinct solid colors assigned to different parts of the rifle. The receiver, barrel assembly, and pistol grip share a dark green treatment. Lighter highlights follow their edges, helping the shapes stand out within the muted palette. The buttstock and handguard are dark brown, with visible wood-grain lines across their surfaces. Those grain details give the furniture a different texture from the plainly colored green metalwork. The curved magazine is dark gray, with long raised ribs and brighter metallic highlights. Small dark fittings provide additional contrast around the green receiver and barrel assembly without introducing another bold color. With no visible lettering or decorative artwork, the overall character comes from color placement, material texture, and the AK-47's form.

Float Value

The AK-47 | Wintergreen float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.75. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with none of the exterior categories missing. Standard and Souvenir versions are available, but there is no StatTrak version; version availability is separate from an individual copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

Wintergreen has Mil-Spec Grade rarity and belongs to The Boreal Collection. Its collection acquisition chance is 0.64%, about 1 in 156, which should not be treated as its trade-up probability. Professional players FalleN, Snax, and rallen own the skin, although those ownership examples do not establish broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Dark green and brown suit understated rifle loadouts

• Visible wood grain adds texture without decorative artwork

• Every exterior offers a different condition choice

• Souvenir availability provides another collecting option

Price Range

The live AK-47 | Wintergreen price range is $0.41 to $4.30. The market includes low-cost standard copies and higher-priced Souvenir listings, making version an important comparison point. Exterior identifies the condition category, while exact float value helps distinguish individual copies within that category. Compare version, exterior, float, and visible condition together rather than treating every Wintergreen listing as an equivalent purchase. When checking the CS2 skin price before buying or selling, use the individual listing details rather than assuming either range bound represents a particular variant.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Trade Up Contracts

Trade Up Contracts can use 10 Industrial Grade skins from The Boreal Collection to produce 1 Mil-Spec Grade skin from that collection. Wintergreen is a possible result, but the contract randomly selects among the collection's Mil-Spec Grade skins rather than guaranteeing this finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The AK-47 | Wintergreen can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market instead of obtained through a random contract. Check the exterior, available item details, and whether the offered copy is standard or Souvenir before selecting a listing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades provide a route to an existing Wintergreen copy without a random collection outcome. Confirm the offered item's exterior, float value, and standard or Souvenir designation before accepting the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Standard and Souvenir listings occupy different price levels, so comparisons should stay within the version and condition being considered. Ownership by FalleN, Snax, and rallen gives the skin professional visibility, but does not show how quickly a copy will sell. Future supply and price direction remain uncertain, making exact-item comparison more useful than assuming a short-term trading opportunity.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Valve-designed finish with a clear visual identity

• Souvenir versions provide a separate collecting option

• Ownership by FalleN, Snax, and rallen

• Low-cost standard copies offer an accessible entry point

The editorial investment rating is medium, reflecting accessible standard listings, separate Souvenir options, and professional ownership without evidence of sustained market growth. The main risk is uncertain future supply and resale demand, so those features should not be mistaken for a promise of returns.
