AK-47 | Safari Mesh

AK-47 | Safari Mesh is a CS2 rifle skin with subdued camouflage in khaki, sandy beige, and olive-gray. Its spray-painted finish combines mesh patterns with broad, irregular patches across the weapon. The restrained appearance suits players building an earthy loadout without bright colors or character artwork. It comes in every exterior listed from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with standard and Souvenir versions but no StatTrak™ option.

Description

AK-47 | Safari Mesh brings a muted camouflage finish to the Terrorist-side rifle in CS2. The design uses a Spray-Paint finish rather than lettering or illustrated artwork to give the weapon its identity. Sandy and olive-gray tones extend across the receiver, barrel assembly, stock, grip, and magazine. Dark mesh details add texture without sharply contrasting against the surrounding camouflage. The curved magazine has pale vertical ribs with darker shading between them, giving that section its own visual rhythm. This look suits players who prefer practical, understated weapon styling over a bright centerpiece. Standard and Souvenir copies offer different ownership options while retaining the Safari Mesh finish. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value, version, and listing images to choose a copy that fits their loadout and budget.

History and Origin

AK-47 | Safari Mesh entered CS:GO on November 27, 2013, through the DreamHack 2013 update. Its release placed the rifle finish in The Dust 2 Collection. Valve created the skin rather than a community designer, making its origin distinct from a Workshop contribution. Souvenir availability includes the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package, connecting that version to the event named in its release update. The EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package is another package that can contain it. In total, the finish is available through 13 Souvenir packages. Today, existing copies can be bought on the Steam Community Market or traded between players, while collection trade-ups provide a randomized acquisition route.

Finish Style

The Spray-Paint finish uses mesh fencing and cardboard shapes as stencils to create its camouflage layout. Muted khaki, sandy beige, and olive-gray form the palette across the rifle's major components. A darker diamond-shaped mesh pattern stands out most clearly on the stock and pistol grip. Fainter mesh sections appear across the receiver and handguard, keeping the pattern from looking equally bold everywhere. Broad, irregular patches of lighter and darker color interrupt the mesh and give the surface a broken-up appearance. The curved magazine carries pale vertical ribs, with darker shading visible in the spaces between them. Its matte appearance keeps the camouflage subdued and low-contrast rather than glossy or reflective. There is no visible lettering or character artwork, so the visual character comes entirely from color, stencil shapes, and mesh texture.

Float Value

The AK-47 | Safari Mesh float range runs from 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so buyers can compare the complete exterior selection rather than a restricted set. Standard and Souvenir versions exist; version choice is separate from the cosmetic condition represented by exterior and float.

Rarity and Popularity

AK-47 | Safari Mesh has Industrial Grade rarity within The Dust 2 Collection. Its chance of being obtained from that collection is 3.2%, which should not be treated as the odds for every acquisition route. Known professional owners include FalleN, fer, and adreN, although ownership alone does not establish current trading demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted camouflage suits earthy, understated loadouts

• Diamond mesh gives the stock and grip recognizable texture

• Standard copies offer an inexpensive rifle customization option

• Souvenir versions add event-package origins

• Available exteriors cover Factory New through Battle-Scarred

Price Range

The live AK-47 | Safari Mesh price range is $0.05 to $351.49. These bounds cover the skin as a whole, not fixed prices for particular exteriors or versions. Worn standard copies offer an inexpensive entry point, while Factory New and Souvenir listings deserve separate price comparisons. Match exterior, float value, and version when assessing a CS2 skin price rather than treating every Safari Mesh listing as equivalent. Buyers planning to sell or trade later should also inspect the individual copy's appearance instead of relying only on its exterior label.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

A Souvenir AK-47 | Safari Mesh can be obtained by opening a compatible Souvenir Package. Supported examples include the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and the EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. Opening a package offers a route to the Souvenir version, while buying an existing listing allows a specific copy to be selected.

3. Trade Up Contracts

Use 10 Consumer Grade skins from The Dust 2 Collection in a Trade Up Contract. The result is 1 Industrial Grade skin from the same collection, with Safari Mesh among the possible outcomes. The result is random among that collection's Industrial Grade skins, so the contract does not guarantee this rifle.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct route to buying an existing AK-47 | Safari Mesh rather than pursuing a randomized collection result. Compare the listing's exterior and whether it is standard or Souvenir before choosing a copy, keeping those version differences separate from cosmetic condition.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading provides another way to obtain the rifle by exchanging items with another owner. Check the exact item name, exterior, float value, and standard or Souvenir status before agreeing to an offer. Those details help keep the proposed exchange aligned with the version being sought.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Collection trade-ups and Souvenir package openings provide acquisition routes beyond existing market listings, so scarcity should not be assumed. Standard worn copies and Souvenir variants should be assessed separately when comparing offers to buy, sell, or trade. Professional ownership gives the finish some visibility, but does not establish reliable demand or profitable short-term resale opportunities.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Established place in The Dust 2 Collection

• Souvenir versions with event-package origins

• Ownership by FalleN, fer, and adreN

The investment rating is medium-to-poor, reflecting inexpensive standard copies and uncertainty about sustained resale demand. Souvenir versions and professional ownership add interest, but neither proves that prices will appreciate. The main risk is buying without sufficient resale demand, since a low purchase price alone does not imply profitable upside.
