AK-47 | Safety Net

AK-47 | Safety Net is a CS2 rifle skin with bright orange mesh laid across a white base. Dark hardware contrasts with the patterned receiver, handguard, pistol grip and stock. Its high-visibility palette suits players who prefer a busy, colorful rifle over a restrained finish. It comes in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with regular and Souvenir versions available.

Description

AK-47 | Safety Net gives the Terrorist-side rifle in CS2 an orange-and-white Hydrographic finish. Its mesh-covered body creates a distinctive appearance without covering every component in the same pattern. The receiver, handguard, pistol grip and stock carry the main design, making the color scheme visible across the weapon. A dark curved magazine and barrel provide a plain contrast to those patterned surfaces. The underlying rifle favors short, controlled bursts, while Safety Net supplies its visual character. This finish suits orange-themed loadouts and players who want pronounced contrast between the body and hardware. Buyers can choose a regular copy or explore Souvenir editions connected to Inferno packages. When comparing listings, exterior, exact float value and version are more useful distinctions than the finish name alone.

History and Origin

AK-47 | Safety Net was released on September 3, 2018, as part of The 2018 Inferno Collection. Its introduction accompanied the London 2018 Souvenir Packages update. Valve created the design, rather than a community designer. The collection connection remains relevant today because it identifies the required inputs for its Trade Up Contract route. Its Souvenir version is associated with 11 packages, giving buyers multiple package origins to distinguish. Examples include the London 2018 Inferno Souvenir Package and Katowice 2019 Inferno Souvenir Package. Today, existing copies can be purchased on marketplaces or acquired through player-to-player trades. Package opening and Trade Up Contracts are separate acquisition routes, neither of which guarantees this particular finish.

Finish Style

Safety Net uses a Hydrographic finish built around orange mesh and a white foundation. The mesh forms irregular, rounded openings rather than a uniform grid of square cells. Across the receiver and handguard, the orange lines create a busy surface with contrasting spaces between them. The pistol grip and stock continue that design, carrying the palette beyond the central body. Gray and darker patches appear inside the openings, adding variation to the orange-and-white treatment. White remains visible around the forward fittings, front sight and upper receiver. The barrel, curved magazine, trigger and much of the lower hardware stay black or dark gray. Together, those plain components give the patterned body contrast without competing with its bright color.

Float Value

AK-47 | Safety Net has a float value range of 0.00 to 0.60. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of those exterior categories is missing. Regular and Souvenir versions are available, but there is no StatTrak™ version; version availability is separate from a copy's exterior condition.

Rarity and Popularity

AK-47 | Safety Net belongs to the Restricted rarity grade in The 2018 Inferno Collection. Its stated acquisition chance from that collection is 0.21%, or about 1 in 469 outcomes. Professional players byali, tenzki and yel have owned the skin, although ownership alone does not establish current trading demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Bright orange mesh gives the rifle a distinctive visual identity

• Dark hardware contrasts with the patterned body

• All exterior categories offer condition choices

• Souvenir editions connect the finish to Inferno packages

Price Range

The live AK-47 | Safety Net price range is $2.29 to $56.69. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed exterior or version. Exterior, exact float and Souvenir status are relevant distinctions when comparing its CS2 skin price across listings. Compare copies with matching specifications, then inspect their images before choosing which listing to buy or using another listing as a selling reference.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open an eligible Inferno Souvenir package for a chance to receive a Souvenir AK-47 | Safety Net. Supported examples include the London 2018 Inferno Souvenir Package and Katowice 2019 Inferno Souvenir Package. Opening a package does not guarantee this skin, so direct purchase offers a more targeted route.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can exchange 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The 2018 Inferno Collection for 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Safety Net is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins. Check the input collection before committing skins to the contract.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing copy through the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a random acquisition result. Compare the listed exterior and whether the item is a regular or Souvenir version. The skin has no StatTrak version, so that is not an available purchase option.

5. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player for an existing regular or Souvenir copy. Confirm the full item name, exterior and exact float before accepting the exchange. Inspect the actual item rather than assuming that copies sharing an exterior label have identical condition.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Professional ownership gives Safety Net some visibility, but current demand strength and future supply conditions remain uncertain. Regular and Souvenir copies should be compared separately when planning to buy, sell or trade, with exterior and exact float checked within each version. Package availability alone does not establish a reliable short-term resale opportunity.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive orange-and-white finish

• Ownership by named professional players

• Souvenir editions with identifiable package origins

• Exterior choices across the full condition lineup

AK-47 | Safety Net receives a medium investment rating, supported by its distinctive finish, professional ownership and regular and Souvenir options. The main risk is uncertain future supply and buyer demand, so those features should not be treated as evidence of predictable returns.
