SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh

SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh is a CS2 rifle skin with sandy camouflage and a fine diamond-shaped mesh pattern. Muted tan, olive-brown and darker brown patches cover much of the weapon, while exposed metal sections remain dark gray. Its understated appearance suits players building an earth-toned Counter-Terrorist loadout. It comes in every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with Souvenir versions available but no StatTrak™ option.

Description

SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh gives the CS2 semi-automatic sniper rifle a subdued, stencil-painted camouflage finish. The Counter-Terrorist weapon emphasizes rapid follow-up shots and long-range damage at the expense of movement speed. Its earthy palette covers much of the rifle without creating strong color contrasts. A fine mesh texture adds detail within the broader camouflage patches, giving the finish structure beyond simple blocks of color. Dark exposed components provide a restrained contrast to the painted surfaces. This look suits players who prefer practical camouflage styling over bright colors or decorative artwork. Standard and Souvenir versions offer different ownership options without changing the Sand Mesh finish itself. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value and version to find a copy that matches their visual preferences and budget.

History and Origin

SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh entered CS:GO on November 27, 2013, as part of The Dust 2 Collection. Its introduction accompanied the DreamHack 2013 update, placing its release within that event-era content. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. The skin also has a Souvenir history spanning 13 associated packages. DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package are among those sources. Today, buyers can obtain existing copies through the Steam Community Market or player-to-player trades. Opening an associated Souvenir Package remains a route to the Souvenir version, separate from purchasing a specific listing. Eneba Skins also offers direct buying, allowing players to compare available copies rather than pursue a package result.

Finish Style

Sand Mesh uses the Spray-Paint finish style, with a camouflage layout built around overlapping stencil effects. Mesh fencing and cardboard shapes were used as masks to create the combination of fine texture and broad patches. Sandy tan forms part of the palette alongside muted olive-brown and darker brown areas. The painted treatment extends across the receiver, handguard, scope, stock, magazine and pistol grip. Pale diamond-shaped mesh markings are especially noticeable across the receiver and magazine. Broad, irregular patches overlap that finer texture, breaking up the surface without introducing sharp color contrasts. The exposed barrel and muzzle remain dark gray, with additional dark sections around the rails and controls. Together, these details create a patterned but restrained rifle finish whose visual character comes from texture rather than vivid accents.

Float Value

SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh has a float range of 0.06 to 0.80. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior tier missing. Souvenir versions are available, and their availability should be considered separately from cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh belongs to the Consumer Grade rarity tier within The Dust 2 Collection. Its chance within that collection is 13.34%, or about 1 in 8 outcomes. Ownership by dupreeh, f0rest and adreN provides a documented professional connection, but does not establish scarcity or market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Subdued camouflage suits earth-toned Counter-Terrorist loadouts

• Diamond mesh texture adds detail without bright colors

• Broad exterior availability supports different condition preferences

• Souvenir options add an event-linked collecting angle

Price Range

The live SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh price range is $0.01 to $75.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a fixed price for any particular exterior or version. Individual listings should be checked for their exterior and exact float rather than judged solely by the lowest displayed price. Standard and Souvenir copies deserve separate comparisons, since version is distinct from cosmetic condition. Its low-priced market context supports budget-focused shopping, but current listings should guide the choice of which copy to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

The Souvenir version can be obtained by opening an associated Souvenir Package, including DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package or EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. Opening a package does not guarantee this particular rifle skin. Buying an identified listing gives more control over the exact skin, exterior and float.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

SCAR-20 | Sand Mesh can be purchased on the Steam Community Market. Compare the exterior and whether the listing is standard or Souvenir, then check the individual item's float before choosing a copy.

4. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain the skin through a player-to-player trade using items they already own. Check the offered copy's exterior, exact float and version, and assess the exchange against comparable current listings before accepting.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Sand Mesh sits at a low price level, making it accessible as a rifle cosmetic rather than an established appreciation play. Supply trends and resale demand remain uncertain, so professional ownership alone does not justify expecting a quick flip. For a buy, sell or trade decision, compare standard and Souvenir listings by exterior, exact float and asking price.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Early Dust 2 Collection origin

• Valve-created camouflage finish

• Souvenir options support event-focused collecting

• Documented ownership by professional players

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-poor, reflecting its Consumer Grade rarity and low price level without evidence of sustained resale demand. Its early collection origin, Souvenir options and professional ownership provide collecting appeal, but do not establish appreciation. The main risk is uncertain resale performance, so an inexpensive purchase should not be mistaken for a reliable return.
