Short Description

SCAR-20 | Crimson Web is a CS2 sniper rifle skin for the Counter-Terrorist side. Its crimson panels carry thin, dark spider-web lines, contrasted by black and dark gray components. The restrained red-and-black finish suits players who prefer patterned weapons without an all-over bright palette. Standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions are available across the full exterior lineup.

Description

SCAR-20 | Crimson Web gives the Counter-Terrorist semi-automatic sniper rifle a red-and-black hydrographic finish in CS2. The weapon combines a high firing rate and strong long-distance damage with sluggish movement and a substantial in-game purchase cost. Its decorative focus is the crimson receiver and fore-end, where dark web lines break up the red surfaces. The scope, barrel and magazine remain dark, keeping the pattern concentrated on selected panels rather than the entire rifle. This look suits red-themed loadouts and players who want visible detail without a broad mix of colors. Documented owners include professional players ScreaM, SIXER and oskar, although ownership alone does not establish demand. Buyers can choose standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies according to their preferred version and cosmetic condition. Comparing the exterior, exact float and listing images helps distinguish individual copies before deciding which one to buy.

History and Origin

The skin debuted in CS:GO on November 8, 2013. Its release formed part of the Arms Deal 2 update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. It belongs to The Arms Deal 2 Collection, which identifies its collection origin. The CS:GO Weapon Case 2 provided its case-opening route at release. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, the CS:GO Weapon Case 2 no longer drops, so there is no new case supply through drops. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, while already-created skins remain obtainable through marketplace purchases and player trades.

Finish Style

Crimson Web uses a Hydrographic finish, applying a spider-web design over a red base with a semi-gloss topcoat. The receiver and fore-end carry the main crimson areas, giving the rifle a clearly defined colored center. Thin, dark lines spread across these panels in an interconnected web pattern rather than a solid graphic block. The pistol grip and upper stock panel continue the red palette beyond the receiver. The remainder of the stock stays dark gray, separating the colored upper section from the darker surrounding parts. Black or dark gray also covers the barrel, muzzle, scope, rails and magazine, providing a restrained frame around the patterned surfaces. Small pale markings near the rear of the receiver add another detail without changing the overall color scheme. Highlights on the red panels reveal the semi-gloss character, making surface sheen part of the finish's appearance alongside the web lines.

Float Value

The float value ranges from 0.06 to 0.80, allowing Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred exteriors. Standard and StatTrak copies are available, and the skin also has a Souvenir version. Exterior describes cosmetic condition, while StatTrak and Souvenir identify versions, so these attributes should be checked separately when comparing listings.

Rarity and Popularity

SCAR-20 | Crimson Web has Mil-Spec Grade rarity and belongs to The Arms Deal 2 Collection. Its stated chance from opening the CS:GO Weapon Case 2 is 15.98%, although the case itself no longer drops. Existing cases can still produce the skin, and professional ownership includes ScreaM, SIXER and oskar.

Why it’s Popular:

• Crimson panels contrast clearly with the rifle's dark components

• Thin web lines add detail without a busy color palette

• Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer different collection choices

• Semi-gloss surfaces complement the restrained red-and-black design

Price Range

The live SCAR-20 | Crimson Web price range is $1.84 to $446.14. These bounds cover the whole skin, not fixed prices for particular exteriors or versions. Exterior and exact float distinguish cosmetic condition, including between listings carrying the same exterior label. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir copies should be compared separately rather than treated as interchangeable purchases. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, check each listing's amount, version, float and images together.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the CS:GO Weapon Case 2

Open the CS:GO Weapon Case 2 for a chance at this finish, with a stated skin drop chance of 15.98%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought and opened without guaranteeing this particular outcome.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy SCAR-20 | Crimson Web directly from a listing on the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a case outcome. Check the exterior and version carefully, and inspect the available item details before selecting a copy.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with other players to obtain an existing copy of the skin in exchange for items they accept. Confirm the exact item, exterior and version before agreeing, particularly when looking for a StatTrak or Souvenir copy.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired case drops limit new case supply, but opening existing cases can still add copies of the skin to circulation. Professional ownership provides a documented connection to competitive players, not evidence of trading volume or future demand. Before deciding to buy, sell or trade, compare the available versions and floats rather than assuming every Crimson Web listing represents the same item.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired drop pool limits new case availability

• Valve-created finish with a documented release history

• StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden collection choices

• Documented ownership by professional players

The editorial investment rating is medium, balancing retired case supply against the Mil-Spec Grade opening chance and continued availability from existing cases. Professional ownership adds context but does not prove future demand. The main risk is that additional case openings can expand skin supply without a corresponding increase in buyer interest.
