SCAR-20 | Contractor

SCAR-20 | Contractor is a CS2 skin for the Counter-Terrorist side's semi-automatic sniper rifle. Its Solid Color finish divides the weapon into muted dark green, navy and tan components. The restrained, practical look suits players building subdued rifle loadouts without decorative artwork. Buyers can choose Factory New through Battle-Scarred exteriors and standard or Souvenir versions.

Description

The SCAR-20 | Contractor gives the Counter-Terrorist sniper rifle a muted, component-based look in CS2. The weapon combines rapid semi-automatic fire and strong long-range damage, balanced by sluggish movement and a substantial in-game purchase cost. Contractor's appeal is the separation of painted parts rather than a graphic running across the whole rifle. Dark green dominates the main body, while tan around the lower receiver and stock breaks up the silhouette. Navy barrel and rail sections add darker contrast without introducing a bright accent color. That reserved treatment suits players who want a utilitarian rifle finish rather than an illustrated centerpiece. Documented owners include kennyS, jdm64 and tarik, giving the finish a connection to professional player inventories. Buyers can compare exact float value, exterior condition and standard or Souvenir status instead of relying on the item name alone.

History and Origin

SCAR-20 | Contractor was released in CS:GO on November 27, 2013, as part of The Safehouse Collection. Its introduction came with the DreamHack 2013 update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. The accompanying flavor text describes Rona Sabri's lingering resentment after Sebastien did not choose her to pursue Turner. Souvenir copies are associated with the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package and EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package. Those packages provide a Souvenir acquisition route, separate from the skin's original collection release. Today, finished copies can be bought on the Steam Community Market or obtained through player trades. Opening a compatible Souvenir package is another route, although it does not guarantee a Contractor result.

Finish Style

Contractor uses the Solid Color finish style, with separate weapon components painted in restrained blocks rather than a continuous design. The receiver and ribbed handguard carry muted dark green, establishing the main color across the rifle's central section. Dark navy covers the barrel and lower rail, adding contrast beneath and ahead of the green body. Tan surrounds the magazine well and trigger on the lower receiver and extends across much of the stock hardware. The magazine is a deeper khaki shade, distinct from the lighter tan components directly above it. Dark green returns on the pistol grip and portions of the stock, linking the rear of the rifle to the receiver. The scope is green with dark fittings, while tan rings frame its ends and echo the color used below. There is no visible decorative pattern or artwork; the finish's character comes from the placement of color on the rifle's parts.

Float Value

The SCAR-20 | Contractor float range is 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, giving buyers a complete range of exterior choices. Standard and Souvenir versions exist; version choice is separate from exterior condition and should be checked independently.

Rarity and Popularity

SCAR-20 | Contractor is Consumer Grade, placing it in a common rarity tier rather than a high-rarity category. Its stated odds from The Safehouse Collection are 16.03%, about 1 in 6 collection results. Souvenir availability adds a distinct collecting option, while ownership by kennyS, jdm64 and tarik does not change the skin's rarity grade.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted green, navy and tan suit understated loadouts

• Separate color blocks emphasize the rifle's individual components

• Factory New through Battle-Scarred options offer broad condition choice

• Souvenir versions connect the finish to named tournament packages

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for SCAR-20 | Contractor is $0.01 to $61.87. These bounds cover the entire item and should not be read as fixed prices for a particular exterior or version. Standard copies are inexpensive, while Souvenir pricing sits higher, so the versions should not be treated as interchangeable. Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred copies are best compared within their own exterior and version groups. Check each listing's float and current asking price before buying, since the overall range alone does not describe an individual copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

A Souvenir SCAR-20 | Contractor can be obtained by opening a compatible package, such as the DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package. The EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package is another option, but neither allows the buyer to select the resulting skin. The 16.03% Safehouse Collection odds should not be treated as verified odds for either Souvenir package.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy a listed copy on the Steam Community Market to select the skin directly instead of relying on a package opening. Confirm its exterior, float and standard or Souvenir status, especially when comparing listings that share the same finish name.

4. Trade with Other Players

SCAR-20 | Contractor can also be obtained by trading with another player for an existing copy. Match the agreed exterior and version to the offered item, then inspect its float before treating it as equivalent to another Contractor.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Consumer Grade rarity and inexpensive standard listings favor practical loadout comparisons over a scarcity-led investment argument. Available evidence does not establish current supply totals or sustained buyer demand, and professional ownership alone cannot fill that gap. For a buy, sell or trade decision, compare exterior, exact float and whether the listing is standard or Souvenir.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Valve-created finish from The Safehouse Collection

• Souvenir ties to named tournament packages

• Documented ownership by kennyS, jdm64 and tarik

• Broad exterior choice for loadout buyers

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-poor, reflecting Consumer Grade rarity, inexpensive standard copies and limited evidence of sustained trading demand. Souvenir availability and documented professional ownership provide collector context, but do not establish future price growth. The main risk is paying a collectible premium without evidence that resale demand supports it.
