About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Exterior condition affects the skin's appearance and can affect its asking price, rather than changing its rarity. This knife has a float range of 0.06 to 0.80 and comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Short Description

The ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet is a CS2 knife skin pairing a dark curved blade with purple handle panels. Its Solid Color finish keeps the design restrained, without lettering or decorative artwork. The look suits players building a black-and-purple loadout or choosing a knife with simple color accents. All exterior grades are available, alongside regular and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

The ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet brings a black-and-purple finish to the Karambit's curved profile in CS2. Its clawlike blade and circular finger ring give the weapon a distinctive silhouette beyond its color scheme. The blade remains visually subdued, while purple sections draw attention toward the handle. Rather than covering the knife in illustrations, the finish separates its individual parts through contrasting solid colors. This approach suits players who prefer visible accents without an elaborate painted design. Buyers can choose from Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred copies. Regular and StatTrak versions provide another choice beyond cosmetic condition. When comparing listings, the exterior label, exact float value, version, and individual images help distinguish the available copies.

History and Origin

★ Karambit | Ultraviolet debuted in CS:GO on January 8, 2015, through the Chroma Case Skins update. The Chroma Case was its original case source at release. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. The Chroma 2 Case and Chroma 3 Case also contain this knife, providing additional acquisition routes today. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, all of these case sources no longer drop. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, but new drops no longer replace the cases consumed through openings. Already-unboxed knives remain obtainable through marketplace purchases and player-to-player trades, separate from their historic release route.

Finish Style

Ultraviolet uses the Solid Color finish style, with individual weapon parts spray-painted in contrasting black and purple. The curved blade appears black to dark gray, with a lighter gray face. A thin, bright cutting edge traces the blade and makes its outline visible against the darker surface. Purple panels sit inside the handle's dark frame rather than extending across the blade. Near the blade, a triangular purple section carries a fine textured pattern. A longer purple panel follows the handle's outer curve, emphasizing its shape. The finger grooves and circular ring remain dark, keeping those sections consistent with the blade. Light highlights along the ridged spine add definition without introducing another strong color. With no text or decorative artwork, the finish relies on its limited palette, panel placement, and curved profile.

Float Value

The ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet has a float value range of 0.06 to 0.80, defining its available cosmetic conditions. It comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior grade is missing. Regular and StatTrak versions are available; version availability is separate from a copy's exterior condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Karambit | Ultraviolet carries the Covert rarity grade. Its drop chance from the Chroma Case is 0.0085%, and that figure should not be applied to its other case sources. Professional players juanflatroo, DANK1NG, and dem0n own the skin, providing examples of ownership without establishing wider demand or resale speed.

Why it’s Popular:

• Purple handle panels contrast with a subdued dark blade

• Simple styling suits black-and-purple loadouts

• Curved blade and finger ring create a distinctive profile

• All exterior grades and StatTrak versions offer buying choices

Price Range

The live ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet price range is $399.25 to $3,011.27. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a specific exterior or version. Exterior condition can materially affect the asking price, with Factory New occupying a higher price level than worn examples. Regular and StatTrak listings should be checked separately rather than assuming a fixed premium between versions. To compare the CS2 skin price meaningfully, review each listing's exact float, exterior, version, and images before deciding which copy to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Chroma Case, Chroma 2 Case, or Chroma 3 Case for a chance at this knife. None of these cases receives new drops, although existing cases can still be purchased and opened. The Chroma Case chance is 0.0085%, so opening a case does not secure this specific finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet directly through the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a case result. Check the exterior and whether the listing is regular or StatTrak, then inspect the individual copy's float and appearance.

4. Trade with Other Players

The knife can also be obtained by trading with another player who owns a copy. Confirm the exact finish, exterior, float, and StatTrak status before accepting, so the offered item matches the intended purchase.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The associated cases no longer receive new drops, but unopened cases can still introduce additional copies of this knife. Professional ownership offers visibility, not proof of consistent demand or quick resale. Before buying, selling, or trading, compare the exterior, exact float, and regular or StatTrak status rather than treating every Ultraviolet listing as equivalent.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new drops replenish its associated cases

• Professional players own the finish

• Distinctive black-and-purple styling

• Regular and StatTrak versions broaden buyer choice

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired case sources, professional ownership, and a premium price level. The main risk is uncertain future demand at that entry cost, while existing cases can still produce additional knives. Reduced case supply alone does not promise returns.
