About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Exterior quality describes cosmetic condition and is linked to float value. This knife spans 0.00 to 1.00 and comes in Factory New through Battle-Scarred; StatTrak is a separate version.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

A skin's rarity grade indicates how uncommon it is to obtain, not how worn it looks. The Case Hardened Karambit is Covert, with a 0.0039% chance from the CS:GO Weapon Case.

How much does ★ Karambit | Case Hardened cost?

The live range is $587.85 to $7,000.00. It covers the whole skin, so compare each listing's exterior, float and version.

Short Description

★ Karambit | Case Hardened is a CS2 knife skin with a curved blade and multicolored Patina finish. Blue, gold and yellow metal contrasts with a dark, textured handle. Its look suits players who want a colorful knife without a brightly painted grip. Standard and StatTrak™ versions are available across every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred.

Description

★ Karambit | Case Hardened combines the Karambit's claw-shaped blade with a mottled metal finish in CS2. Its blue and warm gold tones create an irregular color arrangement rather than a single solid shade. The mostly plain, dark handle gives the colorful blade a clear visual contrast. The weapon's shape comes from the Southeast Asian martial discipline of silat. Its typical reverse grip places the finger ring around the index finger, making that ring part of the knife's distinctive profile. This finish suits loadouts that mix cool blue colors with warmer yellow and gold accents. Buyers can choose a standard knife or a StatTrak version, with cosmetic condition assessed separately from that choice. When comparing listings, blade photos, exterior and float value help identify the specific item being offered rather than just its general skin name.

History and Origin

★ Karambit | Case Hardened was released in CS:GO on August 14, 2013, alongside the CS:GO Weapon Case. Its introduction formed part of the Arms Deal update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. Other compatible cases include the eSports 2013 Case, Operation Bravo Case and CS:GO Weapon Case 2. The eSports 2013 Winter Case, Winter Offensive Weapon Case and CS:GO Weapon Case 3 also contain it. Further routes include the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, eSports 2014 Summer Case, Operation Vanguard Weapon Case and Revolver Case. All listed source cases stopped dropping when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Today's buyers can also acquire the knife directly through marketplace listings or player trades, separating its historical release from its current acquisition routes.

Finish Style

Case Hardened uses the Patina finish style, giving the metal a varied appearance rather than a uniform color. The color case-hardening process uses wood charcoal at high temperatures. The pictured blade combines pale blue, cyan, gold and yellow with smaller pink and purple patches. Blue tones occupy much of the pointed half of the curved blade. Pale gold and yellow appear more strongly near the handle and along the upper edge. Similar blue and gold coloring extends around the finger ring's rim. The handle remains dark gray-black, with fine texture across its panels. Deep finger grooves and ridges along the outer edge add detail without competing with the blade's colors. Together, the busy metal pattern and restrained handle create the finish's defining contrast, which listing photos help buyers assess.

Float Value

The float value of ★ Karambit | Case Hardened ranges from 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Standard and StatTrak versions are available, but no Souvenir version exists; version availability is separate from cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Karambit | Case Hardened has the Covert rarity grade. Its drop chance from the CS:GO Weapon Case is 0.0039%, a figure that should not be applied to every compatible case. Professional players known to own the skin include tarik, friberg and Cypher.

Why it’s Popular:

• Blue and gold metal creates a distinctive multicolored look

• Dark handle contrasts clearly with the bright blade

• Curved blade and finger ring give it a recognizable profile

• Standard and StatTrak options support different collecting preferences

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range is $587.85 to $7,000.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than assigning a fixed price to any exterior or version. Exterior, exact float and standard versus StatTrak status are relevant details when comparing individual asking prices. Blade and finger-ring photos also help buyers judge whether the offered colors suit their intended loadout. Compare similar listings before deciding where to buy, sell or trade, rather than treating every Case Hardened Karambit as interchangeable.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a compatible case, such as the CS:GO Weapon Case or Operation Bravo Case, for a chance at this knife. The CS:GO Weapon Case chance is 0.0039%, so opening one is not a reliable way to obtain this exact skin. None of the listed source cases receives new drops, but existing cases can still be bought and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy ★ Karambit | Case Hardened directly on the Steam Community Market to choose a listed knife instead of relying on a case opening. Compare the offered exterior, float value and StatTrak status, then inspect the item's photos before selecting a listing.

4. Trade with Other Players

The knife can also be obtained through a trade with another player. Check the exact exterior, float value, version and pictured finish against the agreed offer before accepting the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired source cases limit replenishment of case supply, but unopened stock can still produce additional knives. Professional ownership offers visibility, while future demand and price direction remain uncertain. Compare standard and StatTrak listings by exterior, float and pictured finish before assessing a buy, sell or trade opportunity.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases receive no new drop supply

• Ownership by tarik, friberg and Cypher

• Distinctive multicolored metal and curved blade

• Standard and StatTrak options across all exteriors

The investment outlook is medium-to-good, supported by retired source cases and professional ownership. The high purchase cost calls for careful variant comparison, not an assumption that every listing has equal potential. Existing cases can still add knife supply, and future demand may not support current asking prices.
