Short Description

★ Bayonet | Ultraviolet is a CS2 knife skin pairing a dark gray-black blade with a purple handle. Its Solid Color finish keeps the Bayonet's shape visible without artwork or patterned decoration. The restrained contrast suits purple-accented loadouts and players who prefer simple weapon finishes. All exterior grades are available, alongside standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

★ Bayonet | Ultraviolet applies a black-and-purple color scheme to the Bayonet knife in CS2. Rather than covering the weapon with illustrations, the finish separates its blade and handle through contrasting solid colors. The dark blade retains visible structural details, including a recessed groove and an oval opening near the tip. Purple raised ribs give the handle its main visual accent, with darker shading between them. The result suits players looking for a knife with a distinct color identity but little decorative clutter. Its restrained design also makes the weapon's outline and individual components central to its appearance. Buyers can choose between standard versions and StatTrak versions without changing the underlying Ultraviolet finish. When comparing listings, exterior, float value and version provide more useful distinctions than the finish name alone.

History and Origin

The Bayonet | Ultraviolet arrived in CS:GO on January 8, 2015, through the Chroma Case Skins update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. The Chroma Case was its original case source, linking the knife's introduction to that release. Its underlying weapon design follows a military bayonet form that has remained relatively unchanged since World War II. The Chroma 2 Case and Chroma 3 Case also contain the Ultraviolet finish for this knife. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops for these source cases. As of October 9, 2026, existing examples of all these cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Current acquisition also includes purchasing the knife directly on the Steam Community Market or arranging a trade with another player.

Finish Style

Ultraviolet uses the Solid Color finish style, with individual weapon parts receiving plain black or purple paint. The blade appears dark gray-black, leaving its broad flat surfaces visually simple. A long recessed groove runs along the blade, while a small oval opening sits near the tip. A thin, lighter line traces the cutting edge and distinguishes it from the darker blade face. Subtle highlights define the metal surfaces without introducing a decorative pattern. The crossguard and end cap share the dark gray-black treatment, keeping the purple concentrated on the handle. Broad raised ribs create the handle's texture, with darker grooves adding depth between the purple sections. No visible artwork or text interrupts the design, so its character comes from color placement, shape and restrained contrast.

Float Value

The Bayonet | Ultraviolet has an exact float range of 0.06 to 0.80, giving buyers a broad span of cosmetic conditions to compare. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of these exterior categories is excluded. Standard and StatTrak versions exist; version availability is separate from the condition represented by exterior and float.

Rarity and Popularity

The Bayonet | Ultraviolet carries the Covert rarity grade, which is separate from its exterior condition and StatTrak status. Its chance of appearing from the Chroma Case is 0.0085%, and that figure should not be assumed for its other source cases. Documented professional ownership includes DANK1NG, although an individual player's ownership does not establish broad demand or how quickly listings sell.

Why it’s Popular:

• Purple handle contrasts clearly with the dark blade

• Simple solid colors keep the Bayonet's shape visible

• All exterior grades offer different condition choices

• StatTrak availability provides an alternative to the standard version

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range for ★ Bayonet | Ultraviolet is $119.13 to $1,361.94. These bounds cover the whole item and are not permanently attached to a particular exterior or version. Exterior and float value distinguish individual copies, while standard and StatTrak listings should be compared separately. Inspect the specific knife alongside its condition details rather than assuming an exterior label captures every cosmetic difference. Before deciding to buy, sell or trade, compare matching versions and similar floats instead of treating all Ultraviolet listings as equivalent.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Chroma Case, Chroma 2 Case or Chroma 3 Case for a chance at this knife. None of these cases receives new drops, but existing cases can still be purchased and opened. The Chroma Case chance is 0.0085%, so opening one does not provide a dependable route to this specific finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Bayonet | Ultraviolet can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market, avoiding the uncertainty of a case opening. Compare the listed exterior and whether the knife is standard or StatTrak. Review its float and inspect the individual copy before choosing a listing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Another route is exchanging items with a player who owns the Bayonet | Ultraviolet. Confirm the offered knife's exterior, float and StatTrak status before agreeing to the trade. Comparing equivalent marketplace listings helps assess the exchange without relying on the finish name alone.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired source cases no longer receive new drops, but existing cases remain openable and can still produce additional Ultraviolet knives. That distinction matters when assessing supply, since reduced case replenishment does not make the knife's circulating supply fixed. Traders should compare exterior and StatTrak status carefully, while treating historical price performance, broader demand and selling speed as uncertain.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases receive no new drops

• Documented professional ownership includes DANK1NG

• Valve-created finish with an established release history

• Standard and StatTrak versions provide distinct ownership options

The investment rating is medium, supported by retired source cases and documented professional ownership, but limited by uncertainty around broader demand. Existing cases can still add knives to circulation, so case retirement alone does not establish future price growth. The main risk is buying on scarcity assumptions without evidence of price performance or consistent buyer interest.
