About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Exterior quality reflects a skin's cosmetic condition and is associated with its float value. The Freehand is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so buyers should inspect the appearance of the actual copy rather than rely only on its exterior label.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity identifies a skin's grade, not its cosmetic condition. ★ Bayonet | Freehand is Covert, with a 0.0085% chance of being obtained from the Gamma Case.

How much does ★ Bayonet | Freehand cost?

★ Bayonet | Freehand ranges from $145.27 to $676.52. The range covers the whole skin; compare each listing's exterior, float and version.

What float range and exteriors does ★ Bayonet | Freehand have?

★ Bayonet | Freehand has a float range of 0.00 to 0.48. It comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Which cases contain ★ Bayonet | Freehand?

★ Bayonet | Freehand can be obtained from the Gamma Case and Gamma 2 Case. Neither case drops anymore, but existing cases can still be bought and opened.

Does ★ Bayonet | Freehand have StatTrak or Souvenir versions?

★ Bayonet | Freehand is available in standard and StatTrak versions. It has no Souvenir version.

Short Description

★ Bayonet | Freehand is a CS2 knife skin with a black-and-purple blade covered in metallic-marker artwork. Silver-white doodles contrast with its muted olive handle and gray metal fittings. The finish suits players who prefer dense, expressive graphics over a plain blade. All exterior grades are available, alongside standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

★ Bayonet | Freehand brings an illustrated, black-and-purple finish to the Bayonet knife in CS2. Its blade carries tightly packed drawings rather than a single emblem or simple color block. Looping strokes, zigzags and small face-like shapes give the artwork a hand-drawn character. The plain handle and guard keep that visual activity concentrated on the blade. This combination suits loadouts built around purple accents, dark colors or expressive designs. Buyers can choose between standard and StatTrak versions without changing the underlying Freehand finish. Its full exterior selection also lets players compare cosmetic condition across individual listings. For a direct purchase, the useful distinctions are the actual blade appearance, float value, exterior and version.

History and Origin

★ Bayonet | Freehand was released on June 15, 2016, alongside the Gamma Case. Its introduction formed part of the Gamma Case Skins update. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. The underlying bayonet design has remained largely unchanged since World War II. The weapon has also seen military use in Afghanistan and during the second Gulf War. Today, the Freehand can be obtained from either the Gamma Case or the Gamma 2 Case. Both cases stopped dropping when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases remain available to buy and open, separating current access from newly dropped case supply.

Finish Style

Freehand uses the Anodized Multicolored finish style, combining a dark base with metallic-marker decoration. Broad purple patches run through the black blade beneath the silver-white artwork. The drawings include looping lines, angular zigzags, small face-like motifs and abstract doodles. A narrow pale border follows the cutting edge, framing the dense decoration. A dark opening near the tip adds another visible detail to the blade. The straight crossguard and pommel retain a gray metal appearance without the busy graphics. Between those fittings, the ribbed handle has a muted olive-green color. That separation between elaborate blade artwork and plain grip components defines the finish's visual contrast.

Float Value

★ Bayonet | Freehand has a float value range of 0.00 to 0.48. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior grade excluded. Standard and StatTrak versions are available, but there is no Souvenir version; these version choices are separate from cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Bayonet | Freehand has the Covert rarity grade. The chance of obtaining this specific skin from the Gamma Case is 0.0085%, making a targeted case opening uncertain. Professional players TaZ and yel have owned the skin, providing documented ownership without establishing how quickly a listing will sell.

Why it’s Popular:

• Purple and black coloring with contrasting silver-white artwork

• Dense doodles give the blade an expressive, hand-drawn look

• Plain olive handle balances the decorated blade

• All exterior grades and StatTrak options are available

Price Range

The live ★ Bayonet | Freehand price range is $145.27 to $676.52. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than identifying a fixed price for any particular exterior or version. Buyers should compare the asking price, float value and visible condition of individual listings within the same exterior. Standard and StatTrak listings should also be considered separately when comparing a CS2 skin price or choosing a copy to buy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Opening a Gamma Case or Gamma 2 Case offers a chance to obtain this finish, but neither guarantees it. Both cases are retired from drops, although existing cases can still be purchased and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

★ Bayonet | Freehand can be purchased directly on the Steam Community Market. Buyers can inspect the listed exterior and version before choosing a copy, avoiding the uncertain outcome of a case opening.

4. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading provides another route to an existing Freehand copy. Before agreeing to an exchange, both sides should check the knife's float, exterior and StatTrak status against the items being offered.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired cases restrict fresh case supply, but opening existing Gamma cases can still add Freehand copies to circulation. Current listings span standard and StatTrak versions across the available exteriors, so comparisons should stay variant-specific. Long-term demand and resale speed remain uncertain when deciding whether to buy, sell or trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Both eligible cases are retired from drops

• Documented ownership by TaZ and yel

• Distinctive purple blade with metallic-marker artwork

• Standard and StatTrak choices broaden collecting options

The investment outlook is medium-to-good, supported by retired case supply, distinctive artwork and documented professional ownership. This is an editorial assessment, not a return forecast. The main risk is that existing cases can produce more copies while future buyer demand remains uncertain.
