Bayonet | Case Hardened

★ Bayonet | Case Hardened is a CS2 knife skin with a mottled metallic blade in gold, yellow, blue and purple. Its colorful steel contrasts with an understated olive-gray handle and gray fittings. The look suits players who prefer irregular metal coloration over printed graphics. All exterior grades are available, with standard and StatTrak™ versions.

Description

★ Bayonet | Case Hardened brings a multicolored Patina finish to the Bayonet knife in CS2. The blade is the visual centerpiece, while the handle and fittings remain comparatively plain. A recessed groove and a small opening near the tip add recognizable details to the weapon's profile. Its combination of warm gold and cooler blue-purple areas suits loadouts built around metallic colors. The textured grip provides a restrained backdrop rather than competing with the blade's irregular finish. Buyers can choose across the full exterior lineup instead of being restricted to selected condition grades. Standard and StatTrak versions offer another choice alongside cosmetic condition. Comparing the visible blade, exterior and exact float helps buyers choose a copy for their inventory rather than relying on the finish name alone.

History and Origin

★ Bayonet | Case Hardened debuted in CS:GO on August 14, 2013, through the CS:GO Weapon Case and the Arms Deal update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. The underlying Bayonet design has remained largely unchanged since World War II, giving the colorful treatment a traditional military form. Other sources include the eSports 2013 Case, Operation Bravo Case and CS:GO Weapon Case 2. It also appears in the eSports 2013 Winter Case, Winter Offensive Weapon Case, CS:GO Weapon Case 3 and Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. Further sources are the eSports 2014 Summer Case, Operation Vanguard Weapon Case and Revolver Case. All of these source cases stopped dropping when Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, so retired drops do not mean the finish is unavailable today.

Finish Style

Case Hardened uses a Patina finish based on steel coloration produced with charcoal under intense heat. The blade displays irregular metallic patches of pale gold, yellow, blue and purple rather than a uniform color. On the pictured blade, gold occupies much of the central surface and cutting edge. Blue and purple gather along the upper edge and around the area near the guard. A long recessed groove follows the blade, with a small dark oval opening positioned near the tip. The crossguard and pommel have a gray appearance that separates them visually from the colored steel. An olive-gray handle carries raised segmented ridges across its textured surface. Together, these details create a contrast between the mottled blade and the straightforward grip, keeping the visual emphasis on the metal finish.

Float Value

The float value range for ★ Bayonet | Case Hardened is 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with none of these grades excluded. Standard and StatTrak versions are available, but there is no Souvenir version; version availability is separate from cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Bayonet | Case Hardened has Covert rarity. The chance of obtaining it from the CS:GO Weapon Case is 0.0039%. Existing source cases and market listings keep it obtainable despite those cases no longer dropping, so rarity should not be confused with unavailability.

Why it’s Popular:

• Gold, blue and purple give the blade a distinctive metallic palette

• Plain fittings keep attention on the colored steel

• Full exterior availability offers a broad choice of condition

• Standard and StatTrak options suit different inventory preferences

Price Range

The live ★ Bayonet | Case Hardened price range is $199.28 to $1,502.20. These bounds cover the whole skin, not fixed prices for particular exteriors or versions. Individual listings can differ by exterior, exact float value and StatTrak status. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match those details before treating separate listings as equivalent. Inspect the pictured blade too, since its gold, blue and purple areas are central to the finish's appeal.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a compatible source case, such as the CS:GO Weapon Case, Operation Bravo Case or Revolver Case, for a chance at this knife. Its CS:GO Weapon Case chance is 0.0039%, so opening is not a predictable way to obtain the finish. These cases no longer drop, but existing copies can still be bought and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy a listed copy of ★ Bayonet | Case Hardened on the Steam Community Market to select an existing item rather than open a case. Compare its exterior, float value and standard or StatTrak version before choosing a listing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player for an existing copy of the knife. Verify the item name, exterior, float and StatTrak status, and inspect the visible blade before accepting the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retired source cases give this finish a finite case supply, although opening existing cases can still produce additional knives. Demand and future resale prices remain uncertain, so limited case supply alone does not establish a profitable trade. When buying, selling or trading, compare exterior, float and StatTrak status alongside the visible finish.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases limit future case supply

• Valve-created finish from the Arms Deal release

• Distinctive multicolored blade with understated fittings

• Standard and StatTrak versions broaden buyer choice

The investment rating is medium, supported by retired source cases and a distinctive Valve-created finish with standard and StatTrak options. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, while existing case openings can still add knives to circulation. Limited case supply is a reason to consider the item, not evidence that its price will rise.
