Bayonet | Lore

The ★ Bayonet | Lore is a CS2 knife skin with a golden blade and intricate knotwork decoration. An olive-green handle and gray metal fittings balance the ornate finish. Its look suits players who prefer detailed blade artwork with simpler supporting parts. Factory New through Battle-Scarred copies are available in standard and StatTrak™ versions, without a Souvenir edition.

Description

The ★ Bayonet | Lore applies a Custom Paint Job finish to the Bayonet, making the blade the centerpiece of this CS2 knife. Golden yellow dominates the blade, with orange-gold shading around its long recessed groove. Pale gold knotwork follows the cutting edge and tip, giving the finish an ornamental character. The olive-green grip provides a muted counterpoint rather than extending the blade decoration across the handle. This combination suits players building a warm-colored loadout or seeking detailed artwork on a familiar knife shape. Professional players FalleN, SPUNJ and BIT own the skin. Buyers can choose standard or StatTrak copies across Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The exterior organizes listings by condition, while the exact float value allows a more specific comparison. Before choosing a copy to buy or trade, its inspection image helps assess whether the individual knife matches the intended look.

History and Origin

The ★ Bayonet | Lore entered CS:GO on June 15, 2016, through the Gamma Case and the Gamma Case Skins update. Valve created the finish, making it an official design rather than a community-authored submission. The underlying Bayonet design has remained relatively unchanged since World War II, distinct from the later Lore decoration. The Gamma 2 Case also contains this knife, providing another case-opening route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops of both source cases. Previously released containers can still be bought on the market and opened, keeping those acquisition routes available. Case retirement restricts replenishment of the containers, but existing cases can still produce additional Lore knives. Today, players can obtain the skin through case openings, direct marketplace purchases or trades with other owners.

Finish Style

Lore uses the Custom Paint Job finish style, with painted knotwork as its central decorative feature. The blade's main color is golden yellow, contrasting with the gray metal fittings. Orange-gold shading surrounds the long recessed groove, adding tonal variation to the broad blade. Pale gold knotwork follows the curved cutting edge and continues around the tip. A small dark oval opening near that tip interrupts the gold surface. Faint decorative texture also appears across the wider blade, beyond the more prominent border pattern. The guard and pommel are gray, visually separating the blade from the grip. The olive-green handle has raised segmented bands and a fine surface texture. Together, the busy blade decoration and simpler handle create a clear contrast between ornament and utility.

Float Value

The ★ Bayonet | Lore has a float range of 0.00 to 0.65. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, covering every exterior category. Standard and StatTrak versions are available, but no Souvenir version exists; version choice is separate from the knife's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

The ★ Bayonet | Lore is a Covert knife skin. Its drop chance from the Gamma Case is 0.0085%, a figure specific to that case rather than the Gamma 2 Case. FalleN, SPUNJ and BIT own it, although professional ownership alone does not establish buyer demand or resale speed.

Why it’s Popular:

• Golden blade with detailed knotwork along the edge

• Olive-green grip balances the ornate blade

• Standard and StatTrak options suit different preferences

• Professional ownership includes FalleN, SPUNJ and BIT

Price Range

The live ★ Bayonet | Lore price range is $171.95 to $1,250.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. Exterior condition and exact float are important comparison points across the available wear tiers. Standard and StatTrak listings should be checked separately rather than treated as interchangeable purchases. When comparing the CS2 skin price across listings, match the version and exterior, then inspect the individual knife before buying.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open a Gamma Case or Gamma 2 Case for a chance to obtain this knife. Neither case drops anymore, but existing cases can still be bought and opened. The Lore's chance from the Gamma Case is 0.0085%, so opening does not guarantee this finish.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The ★ Bayonet | Lore can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market instead of pursued through a case opening. Check the exterior, exact float and standard or StatTrak version when selecting a listing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Players can obtain the knife through trades with other owners, exchanging items rather than opening a case. Inspect the offered copy and confirm its float, exterior and version before agreeing to the trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Both source cases are retired from drops, limiting fresh case supply while existing containers can still produce more knives. Professional ownership offers visibility, but it does not establish future demand or how quickly a seller can find a buyer. Compare standard and StatTrak copies by exterior and float before deciding to buy, sell or trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired source cases limit fresh case supply

• Professional ownership includes FalleN, SPUNJ and BIT

• Detailed knotwork gives the finish a distinctive identity

• StatTrak versions offer an additional collecting option

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired source cases, professional ownership and the finish's distinctive appearance. Existing cases can still produce additional copies, so retirement does not make the skin's supply fixed. Future buyer demand remains uncertain, and these factors do not promise a profitable resale.
