AWP | Pit Viper

AWP | Pit Viper is a CS2 sniper rifle skin with a green snakeskin hydrographic finish. Dark olive patches and lime accents give its patterned body a camouflage-like appearance. The look suits players who prefer organic patterns and green loadouts over polished or brightly illustrated finishes. Regular and Souvenir versions are available, but there is no Factory New exterior or StatTrak™ edition.

Description

AWP | Pit Viper gives the CS2 sniper rifle a green snakeskin finish concentrated across its main body. The receiver, stock and grip carry small scale-like markings mixed with dark olive and black patches. Lime accents introduce brighter details without changing the finish's predominantly dark appearance. Its mostly plain barrel and scope contrast with the busy pattern below them, keeping the weapon's separate parts visually distinct. This combination suits players seeking a textured rifle skin with a restrained green palette rather than a large illustration. Regular and Souvenir copies provide different ownership options, with no StatTrak edition to compare. Available exteriors extend from Minimal Wear to Battle-Scarred, making the individual float value relevant when choosing a copy. Buyers browsing Eneba Skins can compare CS2 skin price, exterior and version together rather than treating every Pit Viper listing as interchangeable.

History and Origin

AWP | Pit Viper was released on November 27, 2013, as part of The Italy Collection. The skin was introduced in the DreamHack 2013 update. Valve created the skin, so its authorship is not attributed to a community designer. The regular version belongs to The Italy Collection, while the Souvenir edition is associated with event packages. The DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package provides a package route to the Souvenir finish. The EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package is the other package associated with this version. Today, existing copies can be bought on marketplaces or acquired through player-to-player trades without opening a package. Trade Up Contracts offer another route to the regular skin through Mil-Spec Grade items from The Italy Collection, though the result is random.

Finish Style

Pit Viper uses a Hydrographic finish to give the AWP's body a snakeskin-inspired surface. Green forms the main color field, broken up by dark olive and black patches rather than a uniform solid coat. Small scale-like markings add texture across the receiver, stock and grip, making the pattern feel organic instead of geometric. Bright lime details run along the stock and appear on the bipod fittings. Another lime accent sits around the barrel near the muzzle, connecting the darker front of the weapon with the patterned body. The long barrel and scope remain mostly dark gray to black, with a subdued metallic sheen. A dark magazine and butt pad provide additional contrast against the green areas without introducing another strong color. Together, these placements create a busy central body framed by comparatively plain components, which is the finish's defining visual balance.

Float Value

The AWP | Pit Viper float range runs from 0.08 to 0.50. Its available exteriors are Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. Regular and Souvenir versions are available, but there is no StatTrak edition; version type is separate from the skin's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

AWP | Pit Viper has Restricted rarity and belongs to The Italy Collection, with regular and Souvenir versions available. Its Italy Collection chance is 0.64%, about 1 in 156 outcomes, and should not be confused with the odds of a trade-up contract. Happy, chrisJ and WorldEdit have owned the skin, providing professional ownership context without establishing how quickly a particular listing will sell.

Why it’s Popular:

• Green snakeskin across the receiver, stock and grip

• Bright lime details against a dark barrel and scope

• Regular and Souvenir versions for different collecting preferences

• Valve-created design from The Italy Collection

Price Range

The live AWP | Pit Viper price range is $0.75 to $218.11. These bounds cover the whole skin, rather than representing a fixed price for any named exterior or version. Regular copies occupy an inexpensive price tier, while Souvenir copies sit higher, making version selection an important part of the comparison. Within either version, check the exterior and exact float rather than assuming listings with the same condition label are identical. A useful comparison pairs the asking price with the copy's visible appearance and version, especially when choosing between a playing skin and a Souvenir collectible.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Souvenir Package

Open a DreamHack 2013 Souvenir Package or an EMS One 2014 Souvenir Package for a chance at a Souvenir AWP | Pit Viper. The result is not guaranteed, so buying an existing copy is the more direct route when a particular exterior or float matters.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can use 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Italy Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Pit Viper is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins rather than selected by the player.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing AWP | Pit Viper through the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a random package or contract outcome. Check whether the listing is regular or Souvenir, then compare its exterior and any available float information before choosing a copy.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trades provide another way to acquire the skin in exchange for items another player agrees to accept. Verify the offered copy's version, exterior and float before accepting, since the finish name alone does not identify its condition or Souvenir status.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The inexpensive regular version and higher-priced Souvenir options give this finish distinct price tiers to compare when buying, selling or trading. Professional ownership adds context, but it does not prove sustained demand or predictable resale speed. Without an established price trend or confirmed supply changes, short-term trading expectations should remain cautious.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Low-priced regular copies provide an accessible entry point

• Souvenir versions connect the finish with named event packages

• Ownership by Happy, chrisJ and WorldEdit

• Valve-created snakeskin design with a distinctive green palette

The investment rating is medium, reflecting accessible regular copies, higher-priced Souvenir options and supported professional ownership. Its Valve authorship and release history add collecting context, but neither establishes future price growth. The main risk is uncertain future supply and buyer demand, with no established price trend supporting a return forecast.
