About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Quality, or exterior, is tied to a skin's float value. AWP | Phobos ranges from 0.00 to 0.40 and comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, and Well-Worn, but not Battle-Scarred.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity identifies a skin's grade and relates to its acquisition odds. AWP | Phobos is Restricted, with a 3.2% chance from a Gamma Case opening.

How much does AWP | Phobos cost?

AWP | Phobos ranges from $1.66 to $69.99. Compare the exterior, float, and version of each listing.

Which case contains AWP | Phobos?

AWP | Phobos comes from the Gamma Case. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened.

Does AWP | Phobos have StatTrak and Souvenir versions?

Yes, AWP | Phobos is available in both StatTrak and Souvenir versions, alongside regular copies. Check the version separately from its exterior and float.

Is AWP | Phobos a good investment?

AWP | Phobos has a medium investment rating. Retired case drops and professional ownership support holding interest, but uncertain resale demand and continued openings of existing cases remain risks.

Short Description

AWP | Phobos is a CS2 rifle skin with industrial paneling, electronic details, and a dark charcoal and muted olive palette. Yellow accents highlight the scope fittings, muzzle, and stock. Its mechanical look suits players who prefer technical styling over a colorful illustration. Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, and Well-Worn copies are available, including StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

AWP | Phobos gives the AWP a constructed, equipment-like appearance through its Gunsmith finish. Segmented metal panels and electronic components define the design rather than a continuous painted graphic. The receiver carries much of the detail, including grooves and yellow rectangular markings beneath the scope. A mostly dark barrel balances the busier body and stock. The charcoal, olive, and yellow combination suits loadouts built around muted colors with bright accents. Professional players Snax, tarik, and Hyper own the skin. Buyers can choose regular, StatTrak, or Souvenir versions according to their preferred item format. Comparing the exact exterior, float value, and version helps distinguish listings that share the same finish name.

History and Origin

AWP | Phobos was released in CS:GO on June 15, 2016, alongside the Gamma Case. It arrived through the Gamma Case Skins update. The finish was created by apel8, a Steam Workshop community designer. Its collection home is The Gamma Collection. The accompanying flavor text points toward building a better world, fitting the skin's manufactured appearance. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. The Gamma Case no longer drops, so its supply is no longer replenished through that route. Existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened, preserving the original case-opening route today.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish combines metal-panel styling with details that resemble durable electronic hardware. Dark charcoal and muted olive green cover most of the barrel, scope, receiver, and stock. Yellow accents interrupt those darker surfaces around the muzzle, scope fittings, and butt plate. The receiver is divided into segmented panels with vent-like grooves. Beneath the scope, yellow rectangular markings form a distinct row along the body. Small green bars and indicator-like details add another layer to the receiver and scope. A yellow diamond-shaped emblem appears on the stock, giving that section its own focal point. The thumbhole has a bright yellow inner edge that reinforces the accent color. Most of the visual activity sits around the receiver and stock, while the long barrel remains comparatively plain and dark.

Float Value

AWP | Phobos has a float range of 0.00 to 0.40. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, and Well-Worn, with no Battle-Scarred option. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, so buyers should treat version selection separately from the exterior and exact float of a particular copy.

Rarity and Popularity

AWP | Phobos is a Restricted skin from The Gamma Collection. Its chance of appearing from a Gamma Case opening is 3.2%, making an opening an uncertain acquisition route. Ownership by Snax, tarik, and Hyper gives it professional visibility, while existing cases and market listings keep it obtainable.

Why it’s Popular:

• Industrial paneling and electronic details create a technical look

• Muted olive and charcoal contrast with yellow accents

• Regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir options suit different preferences

• Owned by Snax, tarik, and Hyper

Price Range

The live AWP | Phobos price range is $1.66 to $69.99. These bounds cover the whole skin rather than a fixed exterior or version. Its accessible price level makes it worth comparing for players seeking an industrial-looking AWP. When checking CS2 skin prices, separate regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir listings, then compare their exteriors and exact floats. Review the individual listing before buying, since the overall range does not describe the condition or version of every available copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Gamma Case

Open a Gamma Case for a chance to receive AWP | Phobos. The skin's opening chance is 3.2%, so this route does not secure the desired result. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Gamma Collection produces 1 Restricted skin from that collection. AWP | Phobos is a possible result. The outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins, so a contract does not guarantee Phobos.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

AWP | Phobos can be bought directly on the Steam Community Market. Check the listing's exterior and whether it is a regular, StatTrak, or Souvenir copy. Direct purchase allows buyers to select a listed item instead of relying on a random case or contract result.

5. Trade with Other Players

AWP | Phobos can also be obtained through trades with other players. Confirm the offered item's exterior, float value, and version before accepting. Compare the specific copy with available listings when assessing what to exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Gamma Case retirement ended new case drops, but existing cases can still be opened and produce additional Phobos skins. Professional ownership offers visibility without proving consistent demand or fast resale. Compare regular, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies by exterior and float before deciding what to buy, sell, or trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Gamma Case supply is no longer replenished by drops

• Accessible entry price for an AWP finish

• Distinctive paneling and yellow accents

• Professional ownership by Snax, tarik, and Hyper

The investment rating is medium, supported by retired case drops, an accessible price level, and professional ownership. Those factors make Phobos a reasonable skin to consider holding, but they do not establish future appreciation. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, especially while existing Gamma Cases can still produce additional copies.
