Short Description

AWP | Man-o'-war is a CS2 rifle skin with a deep metallic blue body and ornate gold decoration. Curling lines cover the receiver and stock, while the barrel and scope remain mostly dark. The finish suits players who prefer intricate detailing over a plain weapon body. It comes in Minimal Wear and Field-Tested, with standard, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions available.

Description

AWP | Man-o'-war gives the AWP an ornate blue-and-gold appearance through an Anodized Multicolored finish. Its decorated receiver and stock carry most of the visual detail. Gold flourishes become denser around the grip and rear stock, creating a clear focal point on the rifle. The mostly dark barrel and scope provide contrast without competing with the painted body. This combination suits a loadout built around metallic colors or elaborate weapon finishes. Documented owners include professional players tarik, Pimp and Skadoodle. Buyers have a choice between Minimal Wear and Field-Tested rather than a full spread of exterior grades. Standard copies sit alongside StatTrak and Souvenir options, making version selection another part of the purchase. Before buying, compare the listing image, exact float value and version instead of relying on the skin name alone.

History and Origin

AWP | Man-o'-war was released in CS:GO on January 8, 2015, alongside the Chroma Case. Its introduction formed part of the Chroma Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer Arbitron created the skin. It belongs to The Chroma Collection, which also determines its supported trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. The Chroma Case no longer drops, separating its original release route from its current supply situation. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened for a chance at the finish. Players can also obtain an existing copy through marketplace purchases or trades rather than opening a case. Trade Up Contracts remain another acquisition route, with a random Covert result from the collection rather than a guaranteed Man-o'-war.

Finish Style

The Anodized Multicolored finish centers on a deep metallic blue base across the receiver and stock. Metallic gold decoration overlays that blue surface in curling lines and elaborate flourishes. The finish combines a blue metallic coat with gold details applied by hand. Decoration is particularly dense around the grip and rear stock, giving those areas an ornate character. Gold also covers much of the section beneath the rear of the barrel. The long barrel and scope remain mostly dark gray or black, keeping their appearance comparatively restrained. The magazine and folded bipod follow the same dark treatment, with some lighter metallic edges visible. This contrast concentrates attention on the decorated body rather than spreading the gold evenly across every component. Its visual identity comes from the interaction between metallic color, flowing ornament and plain dark hardware.

Float Value

AWP | Man-o'-war has a float range of 0.10 to 0.20. Its only exteriors are Minimal Wear and Field-Tested, with no Factory New, Well-Worn or Battle-Scarred copies. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are available, but version labels remain separate from the exterior and exact float value of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

AWP | Man-o'-war is a Covert skin from The Chroma Collection. Its chance from the Chroma Case is 0.32%, approximately 1 in 313 openings. Existing cases remain openable, so the absence of new case drops does not mean that additional copies of the skin cannot appear.

Why it’s Popular:

• Metallic blue and gold create a distinctive color combination

• Ornate receiver and stock contrast with mostly plain dark hardware

• StatTrak and Souvenir options suit different collecting preferences

• Documented ownership by tarik, Pimp and Skadoodle

Price Range

The live AWP | Man-o'-war price range is $96.63 to $177.99. These bounds cover the skin as a whole, not a particular exterior or version. Compare Minimal Wear and Field-Tested listings using their exact floats and images to judge the individual copy. Standard, StatTrak and Souvenir labels also matter when comparing CS2 skin prices, since they identify different available versions. When preparing to buy or sell, match those details before treating another listing as a useful price reference.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Chroma Case

Open the Chroma Case for a chance to receive this Covert AWP skin. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. The skin's 0.32% chance makes this a random acquisition route rather than a direct purchase.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can exchange 10 Classified skins from The Chroma Collection for 1 Covert skin from that collection. AWP | Man-o'-war is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Covert skins. Check the inputs' collection before committing them to the contract.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing copy through the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a case opening or contract result. Compare the listed exterior, version and available item details before purchasing. This route allows buyers to select a listing rather than gamble on receiving the finish.

5. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player who owns a copy of the skin. Agree on the exterior and standard, StatTrak or Souvenir version, then inspect the offered item's details before accepting. An exact float check helps distinguish otherwise similar Minimal Wear or Field-Tested offers.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Chroma Case has no new drops, although existing cases and trade-up contracts can still add copies of the skin. Professional ownership is documented, but future demand and resale speed remain uncertain. Traders should compare the same exterior and version, then inspect exact floats before deciding whether to buy, sell or trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• No new Chroma Case drops

• Covert rarity with low case odds

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive metallic blue and gold finish

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired case supply, Covert rarity and documented professional ownership. Those factors offer a reasonable holding case, but they do not establish a future price trend. The main risk is uncertain demand while existing cases and trade-up contracts continue to provide acquisition routes.
