About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Quality identifies the skin's exterior, which is linked to its float value. AWP | Asiimov ranges from 0.18 to 1.00 and comes in Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity is the skin's grade and relates to its chance of appearing from a case. AWP | Asiimov is Covert, with a 0.32% chance from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case.

How much does AWP | Asiimov cost?

AWP | Asiimov ranges from $67.75 to $282.57. These are item-wide bounds; compare exterior, float and version in individual listings.

Which case contains AWP | Asiimov?

AWP | Asiimov comes from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

Is AWP | Asiimov available in Factory New?

No, AWP | Asiimov is unavailable in Factory New or Minimal Wear. Its 0.18 to 1.00 float range supports Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred exteriors.

Does AWP | Asiimov have StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions?

Yes, AWP | Asiimov has both StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions, alongside regular copies. Buyers should check the version label separately from the exterior and float.

Short Description

AWP | Asiimov is a CS2 sniper rifle skin with a custom-painted sci-fi finish. White and pale gray surfaces contrast with black sections and bright orange accents. Its angular design suits players who prefer geometric styling and a sharply defined color palette. Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred copies are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

AWP | Asiimov brings a white, black and orange sci-fi design to the AWP sniper rifle in CS2. The Custom Paint Job combines broad color panels with diagonal stripes, thin outlines and small dark markings. Orange details extend across the receiver, stock and scope fittings, connecting the design across separate weapon parts. The pale barrel and darker muzzle continue the contrast beyond the main body. Visible scuffs and chipped-looking patches break up the otherwise clean geometric layout. This finish suits players who want a structured, futuristic rifle rather than a simple single-color appearance. Buyers can choose between regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions without changing the underlying Asiimov design. When comparing individual copies, exterior, exact float and version help distinguish what each listing offers.

History and Origin

AWP | Asiimov was introduced on February 20, 2014, through the Operation Phoenix update. It arrived with the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case, establishing the case-opening route associated with the skin. Coridium created the finish as a Steam Workshop community designer. The skin belongs to The Phoenix Collection, which also determines its collection-based trade-up route. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. As of October 9, 2026, the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case no longer drops, although existing cases remain available to buy and open. Opening those existing cases can still produce the skin, so case retirement does not remove that acquisition route. Today, direct marketplace purchases and player trades offer alternatives to obtaining a random case or trade-up result.

Finish Style

The Custom Paint Job establishes its sci-fi character through white and pale gray surfaces, black sections and bright orange accents. Most of the barrel is pale gray, ending in a dark muzzle. The scope combines black ends with a lighter rear tube. Orange scope mounts and adjustment knobs add compact highlights above the rifle's body. Larger orange panels appear on parts of the receiver and stock, with matching accents around the bipod fittings. A dark pistol grip sits beneath the stock and contrasts with the surrounding pale areas. Angular blocks, diagonal stripes, fine outlines and small dark markings organize the finish into a geometric layout. Visible dark scuffs and chipped-looking patches interrupt the pale surfaces without replacing the overall color scheme.

Float Value

AWP | Asiimov has a float value range of 0.18 to 1.00. Its available exteriors are Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with neither Factory New nor Minimal Wear available. Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir versions are supported, while the exterior and exact float describe cosmetic condition separately from the version label.

Rarity and Popularity

AWP | Asiimov has the Covert rarity grade. Its chance of appearing from the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case is 0.32%, making a case opening an uncertain acquisition route. Documented professional owners include s1mple, fer and AdreN, providing supported visibility beyond the skin's rarity classification.

Why it’s Popular:

• White, black and orange sci-fi styling

• Geometric panels and detailed scope accents

• Regular, StatTrak and Souvenir options

• Documented ownership by professional players

Price Range

The live AWP | Asiimov price range is $67.75 to $282.57. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. Buyers should compare Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred listings separately, then check the exact float and whether the copy is regular, StatTrak or Souvenir. When choosing where to buy or sell, matching those details makes the CS2 skin price comparison more useful than relying on the item-wide range alone.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Phoenix Weapon Case

The Operation Phoenix Weapon Case can still be bought on the market and opened, although no new cases drop. AWP | Asiimov has a 0.32% chance of appearing, so opening a case does not secure the desired skin.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract can use 10 Classified skins from The Phoenix Collection to produce 1 Covert skin from that collection. AWP | Asiimov is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Covert skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market provides a direct purchase route without relying on a random case or trade-up outcome. Buyers should compare the listed exterior, float and version to identify a copy that matches their preferences.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading provides another route to obtain the finish through an item exchange. Both parties should verify the specific copy's exterior, float and regular, StatTrak or Souvenir version before agreeing to the trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired case has no incoming drop supply, but existing case openings and trade-ups can still produce additional skins. That distinction matters when assessing scarcity, and case retirement alone does not establish stronger resale demand or a sustained price trend. Traders should compare matching exteriors and versions before deciding to buy, sell or trade.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case supply with no new drops

• Covert rarity with low case-opening odds

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive custom-painted sci-fi appearance

The editorial investment rating is medium-to-good, supported by retired case supply, Covert rarity and documented professional ownership. The main risk is that existing case openings and trade-ups can still add skins despite the case's retirement. Future price growth remains uncertain, and professional ownership alone does not prove sustained buying demand.
