Playing Detective With Dead Bodies in Medically Accurate Autopsy Simulator

The upcoming horror-sim hybrid Autopsy Simulator from Team17 and developer Woodland Games is not for the faint of heart or those with a sensitive gag reflex. The sim also comes with a self-contained horror experience called Dead Memories.
Set in 1990s New Orleans, Dead Memories follows the story of Jack, a middle-aged pathologist whose life is falling apart after a personal tragedy. This narrative-driven horror experience will require a variety of medically accurate post-mortem procedures to complete.
“Alongside their powers of deduction, players will be able to use a variety of medically authentic tools and procedures, certified by a real-world pathologist, to learn more about each body as they peel back the layers of individual cases and unravel the mysteries surrounding each death,” the press release said.
This grizzly medical-horror is planned for release on PS5 and Xbox on April 3, 2025.

Autopsy Simulator Key Game Features
For the sake of realism, the case files in this simulator have been designed by real-life pathomorphologists and forensic doctors. By studying them closely, players will be able to take different approaches to each autopsy and unravel the mysteries of death.
The tools used to cut through skin and saw through bones are the same used by the profession today. Knowing which tool to use, and when, during a dissection is crucial.
