For example, week 1 of Episode 3 (early February 2025) was a Wild Hunt week, so counting ahead reveals that October 15-21, 2025 falls on rotation 2. Enemy Races and Bosses

Beyond the loot, each week’s rotation also dictates the enemy races and final boss in Legend difficulty. Dares of Eternity is a six‑player activity introduced with the 30th Anniversary Pack and hosted by Xûr and the enigmatic Starhorse. At the start of each round a giant wheel spins to choose a race (Cabal, Fallen, Hive, Taken, or Vex), which influences the encounter mechanics. 

On Legend difficulty this selection is fixed for the week. The current week features Taken in the first round, Cabal in the second, and Zydron (a Vex Gate Lord) as the final boss. The variation keeps the activity fresh and affects weapon archetypes you should bring; Cabal rounds favor burst DPS, while Taken and Vex require quick add‑clear.

Tips for Farming the Dares of Eternity Loot Pool This Week

I’ve spent countless hours spinning Xûr’s giant wheel, and over time I’ve picked up a few tricks to make farming more efficient:

Focus on Starhorse’s Favor. During the obstacle course and “trivia” segments, completing the task grants Starhorse’s Favor—an ammo‑regeneration buff that lets you spam heavy ammo during the next encounter. It makes a huge difference when burning down bosses or champions, so take the extra seconds to earn it.

Play on Legend for Guaranteed Drops. The Legend version locks the enemy races and final boss for the week and increases the drop rate of armor and weapons. You’ll also earn a Pinnacle reward, which is handy for Power leveling. Make sure your Power level is at least 1830 to survive.

Bring Crowd‑Control Weapons. Each race has specific mechanics. For Cabal, you’ll throw Dares Cores to strip commander shields; for Fallen, defuse Splinter Mines while fending off Brigs; for Hive you need to destroy crystals after killing Wellkeepers; and for Taken you throw orbs at a massive Blight. Machine guns, wave‑frame grenade launchers, and strand SMGs excel at add‑clear across all races.

Turn in Strange Coins and Keys. After the run, open the treasure chest and turn in Strange Coins to Xûr for keys or focused engrams. Focusing allows you to target specific categories, like Legendary armor or a weapon slot. Keys increase your chances for additional drops.

Watch for Lightning Rounds. Occasionally the Starhorse will trigger a Lightning Round, granting an extra boss and an extra chest. These bonus rounds increase your loot per run; keep playing even if you’re short on time for one more chest.
