Negev | Desert-Strike

Negev | Desert-Strike is a CS2 heavy weapon skin with a restrained tan-and-black Custom Paint Job. Dark receiver panels, geometric linework, and tan accents give the machine gun a technical appearance. The finish suits players who prefer muted colors and clearly defined details across the weapon. All exterior grades are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

Negev | Desert-Strike gives the CS2 machine gun a high-tech finish built around charcoal, black, and tan. Its broad receiver panels carry narrow geometric lines, while smaller tan accents connect the weapon's separate components visually. The ammunition box adds another prominent color block, with an angular side panel and an outlined rectangular detail. This combination suits players seeking a technical-looking heavy weapon without a bright or multicolored palette. The underlying Negev is designed for sustained suppressive fire once its firing control settles. The finish has documented professional ownership, including copies owned by coldzera, dupreeh, and aizy. Buyers can choose from every exterior grade and compare standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir versions according to their preferences. An individual listing's float value and preview are useful checks when choosing a specific copy rather than relying on its exterior label alone.

History and Origin

Negev | Desert-Strike was released on July 1, 2014, as part of the Operation Breakout update. Its original case was the Operation Breakout Weapon Case, which remains the case-opening route for this finish. The design was created by Nextgenz, a community designer working through the Steam Workshop. It belongs to The Breakout Collection, the collection name buyers can use to identify its origin. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new drops of the Operation Breakout Weapon Case. Existing cases can still be purchased on the market and opened, so retirement did not remove the case-opening route. Today, buyers can also obtain an existing copy through marketplace listings or player trades instead of relying on a random case result.

Finish Style

Desert-Strike uses the Custom Paint Job finish style, combining dark panels with tan accents and precise geometric details. Most of the receiver is dark charcoal or black, with tan bands breaking up the side panels. Fine geometric linework adds detail to those panels without replacing the broad color blocks. The long barrel is dark gray, while the muzzle shroud and curved forward grip are tan. Tan accents also appear on the top carry handle and rear receiver plate. The pistol grip and stock supports carry additional tan details, extending the palette toward the rear of the weapon. The large ammunition box has an angular tan side panel beside a darker front section. A rectangular outline on that box adds a distinct technical detail to its otherwise broad surfaces. Small markings and narrow lines keep the overall design restrained, with detail spread across both large panels and smaller components.

Float Value

The Negev | Desert-Strike float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.50. It is available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, with no exterior grade missing from its lineup. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available, but version labels should be checked separately from the float value and exterior condition.

Rarity and Popularity

Negev | Desert-Strike is a Mil-Spec Grade finish and one of 51 machinegun skins. Its chance of appearing from the Operation Breakout Weapon Case is 15.98%, so opening that case does not guarantee this particular result. Ownership by coldzera, dupreeh, and aizy provides a documented professional connection, without establishing demand for any specific exterior or version.

Why it’s Popular:

• Restrained tan-and-black palette suits muted loadouts

• Geometric linework gives the receiver a technical appearance

• All exterior grades offer a broad selection

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions provide additional collecting options

Price Range

The live Negev | Desert-Strike price range is $0.24 to $15.00. These bounds cover the whole skin, not a particular exterior or version. For a useful CS2 skin price comparison, match the exterior and version before judging individual listings. Exact float values provide a more specific condition comparison than exterior names alone. Buyers should also inspect the preview and confirm whether a listing is standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir before choosing a copy.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Breakout Weapon Case

Open the Operation Breakout Weapon Case for a chance to obtain this finish, with a drop chance of 15.98%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. Buying the skin directly avoids depending on a random case result.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Negev | Desert-Strike can be bought on the Steam Community Market through listings for existing copies. Check the exterior and version designation rather than treating every Desert-Strike listing as the same item. Where inspection details are available, compare the exact float and appearance before purchasing.

4. Trade with Other Players

An existing copy can also be obtained by trading with another player. Confirm that the offered item is Negev | Desert-Strike, then check its exterior, float value, and version. Inspect the actual item rather than assuming it matches another copy with the same exterior name.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired case receives no new drops, but opening existing cases can still add Desert-Strike copies to circulation. Its low price level and documented professional ownership do not establish demand growth or a rising price trend. Anyone looking to buy, sell, or trade should compare the exact exterior, float, and version instead of treating all available copies as interchangeable.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Original case supply receives no new drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• StatTrak and Souvenir options for version-focused buyers

• Distinctive tan-and-black Custom Paint Job

The investment outlook is medium-to-poor: retired case supply offers a holding argument, but the Mil-Spec Grade rarity and 15.98% case chance limit the scarcity case. Its low price and professional ownership do not establish appreciation potential, while continued openings of existing cases remain a supply risk.
