G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs

G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs is a CS2 sniper rifle skin with tactical-map artwork concentrated across its middle. Pale green markings, red-orange patches and small yellow areas contrast with a dark gray and muted olive base. The technical look suits players who prefer detailed artwork without bright colors covering the entire weapon. It comes in every exterior listed for the finish, with StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also available.

Description

G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs is a Custom Paint Job skin for the Terrorist-side G3SG1 sniper rifle in CS2. Its design draws inspiration from Danger Zone's tactical map display, giving the weapon an information-screen aesthetic. Pale green shapes and warmer colored patches create a readable contrast against the subdued body. The brighter artwork occupies the receiver and handguard rather than extending across every component. Plain dark areas around the scope and stock keep attention on the central pattern. The G3SG1 itself trades reduced movement speed for a higher firing rate than other sniper rifles. This finish suits a loadout built around muted colors, angular graphics and technical details rather than an all-over decorative design. Buyers can compare exterior condition, float value and the available versions to find a copy that matches their visual preferences.

History and Origin

G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs was released in CS:GO on September 21, 2021, with the Operation Riptide update. It arrived in the Operation Riptide Case, establishing the case-opening route associated with the skin. Debski, a Steam Workshop community designer, created the finish. The skin belongs to The Operation Riptide Collection. Its visual origin is Danger Zone's tactical map display, which informed the painted lines, blocks and colored sections. The flavor text attributes its information-focused message to Franz Kriegeld, Phoenix Tactician. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Operation Riptide Case no longer drops. Existing cases can still be bought and opened, so that acquisition route remains available despite the end of new case drops. Individual copies can also be purchased on the Steam Community Market or obtained through trades with other players.

Finish Style

Keeping Tabs uses a Custom Paint Job to translate a tactical-map display into artwork on the rifle. Dark gray and muted olive provide the base, giving the brighter painted sections room to stand out. Pale green lines and blocks run across the handguard and receiver, forming the main map-like structure. Red-orange patches interrupt those green areas, while smaller yellow sections add another accent color. Thin dark lines separate the colored regions into angular shapes instead of allowing them to blend together. The resulting pattern has a segmented, technical character that reflects its tactical-display inspiration. The barrel, scope, magazine, pistol grip and stock remain largely plain and dark, framing the more detailed middle section. This selective placement creates contrast through both color and coverage, without extending the busy pattern over the whole weapon.

Float Value

The float value of G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs ranges from 0.00 to 0.70. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. StatTrak and Souvenir versions also exist, so buyers should check the version separately from the exterior and float when comparing listings.

Rarity and Popularity

Keeping Tabs has Mil-Spec Grade rarity and belongs to The Operation Riptide Collection. Its stated chance from the Operation Riptide Case is 11.42%, making an opening a chance-based route rather than a direct purchase. Documented professional owners include coldzera, s1mple and pashaBiceps, although ownership alone does not establish current market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Tactical-map artwork with pale green, red-orange and yellow accents

• Dark outer components keep the central pattern in focus

• Factory New through Battle-Scarred exterior choices

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions broaden collecting options

Price Range

The live G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs price range is $0.46 to $30.00. These bounds cover the skin as a whole, not a fixed exterior or version. It occupies an inexpensive price bracket, but the lowest-priced listing may not match a buyer's preferred condition or version. Compare the exact exterior, float value and StatTrak or Souvenir designation when checking its CS2 skin price. For buy, sell or trade decisions, compare matching variants and inspect the individual listing rather than treating every copy as interchangeable.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Operation Riptide Case

Open the Operation Riptide Case for a chance to receive G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs, with a stated skin chance of 11.42%. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened. An opening does not guarantee this skin or a preferred exterior.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs on the Steam Community Market to select an individual listing instead of relying on a case opening. Check the exterior, float and version before choosing a copy, particularly when comparing listings with different condition labels.

4. Trade with Other Players

G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs can be obtained through a trade with another player. Confirm the offered copy's exterior, float and version before agreeing, and compare those details with the specific item being sought.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Operation Riptide Case is no longer replenished by new drops, while openings consume its existing supply. That supports a limited case source, but it does not prove shrinking skin availability or rising resale demand. At this inexpensive price level, practical comparisons should focus on matching exteriors, floats and versions rather than assuming professional ownership guarantees an easy sale.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case supply is no longer replenished by drops

• Documented ownership by professional players

• Distinctive tactical-map artwork

• Accessible price level for buyers

• StatTrak and Souvenir collecting options

G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs receives a medium investment rating, supported by its retired case source, accessible price level and documented professional ownership. These factors provide reasons to consider holding it, but they do not establish a price-growth trend. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, especially when a buyer wants a particular exterior or version.
