Short Description

G3SG1 | Black Sand is a CS2 rifle skin with a tan, muted olive, and black camouflage finish. Its angular bands and irregular patches suit players who prefer a restrained military look. It is available from Factory New through Battle-Scarred, with standard, StatTrak™, and Souvenir versions to compare.

Description

G3SG1 | Black Sand is a CS2 rifle skin for the Terrorist-side G3SG1. The weapon pairs a high rate of fire for a sniper rifle with a substantial movement-speed penalty. Its Custom Paint Job finish brings military camouflage to the rifle's main surfaces. Tan, muted olive, and black patches give the body a subdued, practical appearance. Dark gray sections on the barrel and grip provide visual breaks from the dense camouflage. The look suits players building muted loadouts or choosing a weapon finish with a military theme. Professional players s1mple, Hiko, and Skadoodle have owned the skin. Buyers can compare exterior, float value, and standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir versions when selecting a copy.

History and Origin

G3SG1 | Black Sand arrived on November 18, 2019, with the Operation Shattered Web update. Its release included the Shattered Web Case, which remains its case-opening route. The skin belongs to The Shattered Web Collection. MGBazz created the finish as a Steam Workshop community designer. Its flavor text describes Mikah adopting a more aggressive approach as the Coalition Taskforce gained the upper hand. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025. That ended new drops for the Shattered Web Case without preventing existing cases from being opened. Today, buyers can obtain the skin through existing cases, marketplace listings, or player trades.

Finish Style

Black Sand uses the Custom Paint Job finish style, with camouflage painted across the rifle rather than a single flat color. Tan and black form the central palette, while muted olive adds another subdued tone. Broad, irregular patches cover the handguard, receiver, magazine, and stock. Sharp diagonal black bands cut through those patches, with smaller tan markings adding detail. The mostly dark gray barrel carries tan rings near the muzzle and front sight. Alternating dark and tan sections continue the color scheme along the scope. The pistol grip stays dark gray, and its horizontal ridges remain visible. Together, the busy body and plainer barrel and grip create a contrast between patterned and simpler surfaces.

Float Value

The G3SG1 | Black Sand float value ranges from 0.00 to 0.80. Its exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior categories is missing. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions are available; version choice is separate from a copy's float and cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

G3SG1 | Black Sand is Mil-Spec Grade, which is its rarity classification rather than its cosmetic condition. Its chance of appearing from a Shattered Web Case is 11.42%, about 1 in 9 drops. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still produce the skin when opened.

Why it’s Popular:

• Muted palette suits military-themed loadouts

• Camouflage combines irregular patches with angular black bands

• StatTrak and Souvenir versions offer different collecting options

• Professional ownership includes s1mple, Hiko, and Skadoodle

Price Range

The live G3SG1 | Black Sand price range is $0.39 to $15.25. These bounds cover the skin as a whole, not a fixed exterior or version. Compare Factory New through Battle-Scarred listings by both exterior and individual float value. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir copies should be treated as separate listing options, without assuming matching prices. When choosing a CS2 skin to buy, compare the asking price alongside condition and version rather than the name alone.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Shattered Web Case

Open a Shattered Web Case for a chance at this Mil-Spec Grade finish. The skin's chance is 11.42%, so an opening does not guarantee this result. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy G3SG1 | Black Sand directly through a Steam Community Market listing instead of relying on a case opening. Check the exterior, float, and version attached to the specific copy before purchasing.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player for a copy of Black Sand rather than opening its case. Confirm the exact item, exterior, float, and standard, StatTrak, or Souvenir version before agreeing on what each side will exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Shattered Web Case receives no new drops, although existing cases can still add Black Sand copies through openings. Professional ownership does not establish sustained demand, and a low price level alone does not make the skin an easy flip. For a buy, sell, or trade decision, compare the exact exterior, float, and version instead of treating every copy as interchangeable.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case supply receives no new drops

• Distinctive tan-and-black military camouflage

• Owned by s1mple, Hiko, and Skadoodle

• StatTrak and Souvenir options broaden buying choices

G3SG1 | Black Sand earns a medium investment rating: retired case supply and professional ownership offer support at a low price level. Existing cases can still produce more copies, while future buyer demand remains uncertain. It is a cautious holding candidate, not a promise of returns.
