About this skin

How is a skin affected by its quality?

Exterior quality affects a skin's cosmetic appearance and is associated with its float value. High Seas supports every exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred; inspecting the actual copy helps assess its cosmetic condition.

How does the rarity of a skin work?

Rarity identifies a skin's grade and relates to its chance of appearing in a case opening. High Seas is Restricted, with a 3.2% chance from the Horizon Case.

How much does G3SG1 | High Seas cost?

G3SG1 | High Seas ranges from $0.67 to $174.10. The bounds cover the whole skin; compare individual listings by exterior, float and version.

Which case contains G3SG1 | High Seas?

Short Description

G3SG1 | High Seas is a CS2 rifle skin with a nautical theme and decorative brass-colored detailing. Muted teal-blue panels, dark brown sections and curling wave motifs give it an ornamental look. It suits players who prefer detailed weapon finishes over plain color schemes. All exteriors are available, alongside StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions.

Description

G3SG1 | High Seas decorates the Terrorist-side G3SG1 sniper rifle with a nautical Gunsmith finish. The weapon trades movement speed for a higher firing rate than other sniper rifles. Its custom-painted design combines subdued blue-green surfaces with dark brown areas and extensive brass-colored trim. Pale wave-like lines along the fore-end establish the maritime theme without relying on a single large illustration. A wrapped-looking scope and gold rings extend the decoration beyond the rifle's main body. The striped magazine, reddish-brown grip and ornamented stock give buyers several details to examine in listing images. This finish suits loadouts built around muted colors, metallic accents or elaborate surface decoration. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value and version when selecting a copy for play, collecting or trading.

History and Origin

G3SG1 | High Seas was released on August 1, 2018, alongside the Horizon Case. Its arrival was part of the Horizon Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer SLIMEface created the finish. The skin belongs to The Horizon Collection, which also provides eligible inputs for its trade-up route. Existing Horizon Cases can still be purchased on the market and opened for a chance at this rifle. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Horizon Case no longer drops. That change limits new case supply without removing cases or skins already held by players. Current acquisition routes also include direct marketplace purchases, player-to-player trades and eligible trade-up contracts, rather than relying solely on case openings.

Finish Style

The Gunsmith finish brings together nautical custom painting and decorative brass-colored metalwork across the rifle. Muted teal-blue panels contrast with dark brown sections, giving the gold-toned ornamentation a distinct backdrop. Pale curling lines resemble waves along the long fore-end, framed by gold borders. Small brass-colored fittings and additional edging continue the decorative treatment around the receiver. The dark scope has rope-like wrapping and gold rings that reinforce the maritime styling. Teal-blue coloring reaches the muzzle, while dark vertical stripes and a gold border distinguish the magazine. The pistol grip uses reddish-brown coloring with curved bands, adding another texture to the design. More gold ornamentation covers the stock's dark surfaces, completing a busy, detailed appearance rather than a minimalist finish.

Float Value

The float value range for G3SG1 | High Seas is 0.00 to 0.70. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so none of the standard exterior categories is missing. StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions also exist, with version availability considered separately from a particular copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

G3SG1 | High Seas has the Restricted rarity grade within The Horizon Collection. Its chance of appearing from a Horizon Case opening is 3.2%, making an opening an uncertain route to this specific finish. Professional players adreN, Goofy and Plopski have owned the skin, providing documented ownership without establishing broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Nautical artwork with curling waves and brass-colored trim

• Muted teal-blue and brown colors suit coordinated loadouts

• Detailed decoration extends across the scope, magazine and stock

• All exteriors, plus StatTrak™ and Souvenir options

Price Range

The live G3SG1 | High Seas CS2 skin price range is $0.67 to $174.10. These bounds cover the whole skin, not fixed exterior or version pairings. Compare each listing's exterior and exact float, then use its images to assess the particular copy. Regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions should be evaluated separately rather than treated as interchangeable offers. When deciding where to buy or sell, compare matching variants and their current asking prices instead of relying on the finish name alone.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Horizon Case

Opening a Horizon Case gives a 3.2% chance of obtaining High Seas. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought on the market and opened.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A trade-up contract can use 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Horizon Collection to produce 1 Restricted skin from that collection. High Seas is a possible outcome, but the result is random among the collection's Restricted skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

The Steam Community Market offers a direct purchase route for G3SG1 | High Seas without relying on a random case result. Check the exterior and version of the listing, then inspect the copy's float and appearance before buying.

5. Trade with Other Players

Player-to-player trading allows an existing High Seas copy to change hands without opening a case or completing a contract. Compare the offered rifle's exterior, float and version against the items being exchanged before accepting the trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

The retired Horizon Case receives no new drops, although existing case openings and trade-up contracts can still add High Seas copies to circulation. Professional ownership gives the finish visibility, but does not establish broad buying demand or quick resale. Buyers and sellers should compare matching versions and floats, since asking prices alone do not demonstrate a reliable trading opportunity.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired Horizon Case receives no new drops

• Distinctive nautical artwork and brass-colored ornamentation

• Documented ownership by adreN, Goofy and Plopski

• StatTrak™ and Souvenir choices broaden buying options

G3SG1 | High Seas earns a medium investment rating based on retired case supply, accessible pricing and documented professional ownership. The main risk is uncertain resale demand, while existing cases and trade-up contracts can continue producing copies. These factors support a measured assessment rather than an expectation of price growth.
