About this skin
How is a skin affected by its quality?
A skin's exterior is determined by its float value. Chronos spans 0.00 to 0.40 and comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn, but not Battle-Scarred.
How does the rarity of a skin work?
Rarity is a skin's classification and relates to its acquisition odds. Chronos is Restricted in The Gods and Monsters Collection; a trade-up can produce it, but the result is random.
How much does G3SG1 | Chronos cost?
G3SG1 | Chronos ranges from $231.43 to $999.00. Compare the exterior, exact float and standard or Souvenir version of individual listings.
Which exteriors are available for G3SG1 | Chronos?
G3SG1 | Chronos comes in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. Its float range is 0.00 to 0.40.
How can G3SG1 | Chronos be obtained?
G3SG1 | Chronos can be purchased on the Steam Community Market, traded with other players or obtained through Trade Up Contracts. Contracts using Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Gods and Monsters Collection can produce it, but the outcome is random.
Does G3SG1 | Chronos have StatTrak™ or Souvenir versions?
G3SG1 | Chronos has Souvenir versions but no StatTrak version. Standard copies are also available, and version choice is separate from exterior and float.
Short Description
G3SG1 | Chronos is a CS2 sniper rifle skin with colorful watch mechanisms decorating its panels. Blue, purple and turquoise patterns contrast with yellow-orange accents and dark metal sections. The detailed mechanical look suits players who prefer intricate artwork over a simple color scheme. It comes in Factory New through Well-Worn, with standard and Souvenir versions but no StatTrak™ option.
Description
G3SG1 | Chronos gives the Terrorist-side sniper rifle a watchwork-themed finish in CS2. The weapon exchanges considerable movement speed for a higher firing rate than other sniper rifles. Its Custom Paint Job centers on overlapping mechanical shapes rather than a single emblem or flat color. Patterned areas extend across the handguard, stock, pistol grip and parts of the scope. Cool blue and purple tones contrast with warmer yellow-orange details, making the decorated panels stand apart from the dark receiver. The combination suits a loadout built around colorful, detailed weapon artwork. Souvenir availability provides another version to consider, while standard copies keep the same underlying finish identity. Buyers can compare exterior, exact float value and version to find a copy that fits their preferences.
History and Origin
G3SG1 | Chronos was released on May 26, 2015. It arrived with The Gods and Monsters Collection in the Operation Bloodhound update. Within that collection, the rifle received the Restricted rarity grade. Valve created the finish, rather than a community designer. Its timekeeping theme is expressed through the watch mechanisms spread across the decorated panels. The accompanying flavor text connects time with possibility, reinforcing that theme without describing a separate origin story. Today, the Steam Community Market and player-to-player trades provide direct ways to obtain an existing copy. Trade Up Contracts offer another route through Mil-Spec Grade items from the same collection, although they do not guarantee Chronos.
Finish Style
Chronos uses a Custom Paint Job built around a colorful watch-mechanism motif. The decoration combines hydrographic imagery with heat-transfer decals, bringing mechanical shapes and accent details together. Blue, purple, turquoise and muted gray fill the handguard, stock, pistol grip and portions of the scope. Overlapping gears, circular mechanisms and fine lines create a dense pattern across those areas. Yellow-orange accents trace sections of the handguard and stock and also appear within the mechanism artwork. The barrel, central receiver and scope mounts remain mostly dark gray or black, providing relatively plain sections beside the pattern. The magazine follows that darker treatment but includes lighter metallic highlights. This contrast gives the finish its visual character: busy, colorful panels separated by restrained metal surfaces rather than a uniform all-over design.
Float Value
The G3SG1 | Chronos float range is 0.00 to 0.40. Its available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. Standard and Souvenir versions exist, but there is no StatTrak version, and version availability is separate from a copy's cosmetic condition.
Rarity and Popularity
Chronos has the Restricted rarity grade within The Gods and Monsters Collection. The collection chance associated with this skin is 0.32%, separate from the possible outcomes of a Trade Up Contract. Market purchases and player trades allow buyers to select an existing copy instead of relying on a random contract result.
Why it’s Popular:
• Detailed watchwork artwork across several weapon panels
• Cool colors contrasted with yellow-orange accents
• Dark metal sections balance the busy pattern
• Souvenir versions offer another collecting option
Price Range
The live CS2 skin price range for G3SG1 | Chronos is $231.43 to $999.00. These bounds cover the whole item, not a fixed exterior or version. Compare exterior labels alongside exact floats, since copies within an exterior can have different float values. Check whether each listing is standard or Souvenir before treating it as a comparable offer. When planning to buy, sell or trade, use similarly configured copies as reference points rather than assuming every Chronos listing represents the same configuration.
How to Obtain
1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins
One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.
2. Trade Up Contracts
Trade Up Contracts accept 10 Mil-Spec Grade skins from The Gods and Monsters Collection for 1 Restricted skin from that collection. Chronos is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Restricted skins. This is a chance-based route, not a way to select the exact finish.
3. Buy on the Steam Community Market
G3SG1 | Chronos can be bought through the Steam Community Market by choosing an existing listing. Compare the offered exterior and standard or Souvenir version before purchasing, and distinguish the exterior category from the exact float.
4. Trade with Other Players
Player-to-player trades provide another way to obtain Chronos by exchanging items with another owner. Confirm the offered copy's exterior, float and standard or Souvenir status before agreeing to the exchange. For valuation, compare matching configurations in current listings rather than relying on the collection name alone.
Trading and Investment Considerations
Chronos has a collection identity and distinctive mechanical artwork, giving buyers specific reasons to consider it beyond resale. Current supply, buyer demand and price direction remain uncertain, so a quick-flip argument would rely on assumptions rather than established trends. Practical trading comparisons should separate exterior, float and version, without treating collection odds as a measure of market supply.
Reasons it Holds Value
• Distinctive watchwork design gives the finish a recognizable identity
• The Gods and Monsters Collection provides a collecting focus
• Souvenir availability offers an additional version to collect
• Valve-created artwork supports interest in its design origin
The investment rating is medium: its collection identity, detailed finish and Souvenir option provide a collecting case, but not evidence of predictable returns. The main risk is paying for a copy without clear evidence of sustained buyer demand. A holding decision should start with comparable listings and a reason to own the skin beyond an expected resale gain.
