Blizzard Entertainment has just announced that it’s partnering up with the German broadcaster Sprot1 in order to bring live television coverage of the Overwatch esports in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This deal includes the Overwatch League and the Overwatch World Cup. It’s also worth mentioning that some of Hearthstone’s tournaments will also be featured according to the agreement.

Sport1 has a bunch of pay-to-watch channels with ESPorts1 being the newest one. ESPorts1, a 24/7 TV channel dedicated exclusively to esports, was announced only a week ago and already struck a major 2-year deal with Blizzard Entertainment. It’s the first channel in German-speaking regions dedicated solely to the competitive gaming scene.

Currently, there’s no information regarding other Blizzard esports disciplines such as World of Warcraft or Starcraft 2, so it is still uncertain whether these will be featured on the channel in the future. The second season of the Overwatch League kicks off on February 14th with the last year’s Finals replay. You can check out the full schedule here.
