Shadow Daggers | Lore

★ Shadow Daggers | Lore is a CS2 knife skin that pairs golden-yellow blades with darker bronze-gold handles. Pale knotwork frames the blade edges, while faint curling lines add detail through the centers. The ornate finish suits players building a gold-themed loadout or choosing a decorative melee weapon. It comes in every exterior, with standard and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

★ Shadow Daggers | Lore applies an ornamental Custom Paint Job to the paired push-dagger weapon in CS2. The handles have large cutouts, giving each dagger a distinctive shape beneath its decorated blade. Bright golden-yellow blade surfaces contrast with the darker bronze-gold grip areas. Cream-colored knotwork creates a defined border along both edges of each blade. A subtler pattern through the centers adds detail without competing with those brighter borders. The finish suits players who prefer warm colors and intricate decoration over a plain knife appearance. Standard versions keep the focus on the finish, while StatTrak versions provide an alternative for players who want that feature. Buyers can compare exterior, float value and version alongside listing images before choosing a pair for their inventory.

History and Origin

The skin debuted on September 21, 2021, alongside the Operation Riptide Case in the Operation Riptide update. Valve created the finish rather than a community designer. Today, the Dreams & Nightmares Case also provides a case-opening route to this knife. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, ending new Operation Riptide Case drops. Existing Riptide cases can still be bought on the market and opened, so retirement did not remove that acquisition route. As of October 9, 2026, the Dreams & Nightmares Case remains in the weekly drop pool through the Weekly Care Package. Direct marketplace purchases and player trades offer current alternatives to obtaining the finish from either case.

Finish Style

Lore uses a Custom Paint Job built around gold tones and decorative knotwork. Both blades have a golden-yellow base, with broad areas of that color visible through their centers. Pale cream ornamentation runs along both blade edges, creating a detailed frame around the main gold surfaces. Dark brown outlines separate the interwoven shapes and make the border pattern easier to distinguish. Beneath the brighter central color, closely packed curling lines form a faint secondary pattern. Small dark markings appear near the points where the blades meet their handles. The handles use a darker bronze-gold palette with a mottled surface and large cutouts. Together, the ornate borders, quieter central pattern and darker handles give the paired knives a layered appearance rather than a uniform gold finish.

Float Value

The float range for ★ Shadow Daggers | Lore is 0.00 to 1.00. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, covering the full exterior lineup without excluding a condition category. Standard and StatTrak versions are available; version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition represented by float and exterior.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Shadow Daggers | Lore has the Covert rarity grade. Its drop chance from the Operation Riptide Case is 0.0085%, and that figure should not be applied to the Dreams & Nightmares Case. Professional players FalleN and fer own the finish.

Why it’s Popular:

• Golden-yellow blades suit warm-colored loadouts

• Cream knotwork gives the blade borders intricate detail

• Paired push daggers offer a distinctive weapon shape

• Standard and StatTrak versions accommodate different preferences

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range is $41.61 to $345.43. These bounds cover the whole item rather than a particular exterior or version. Exterior, exact float and StatTrak status are useful comparison points when evaluating individual listings. Factory New through Battle-Scarred options give buyers a full set of condition categories to consider alongside the listing images. For a buy, sell or trade decision, compare matching versions and exteriors instead of treating every pair as interchangeable.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open a Weapon Case

Open an Operation Riptide Case or Dreams & Nightmares Case for a chance at this finish, not a guaranteed result. The Operation Riptide Case has a 0.0085% chance of yielding it, and existing cases remain usable even though new cases no longer drop. The Dreams & Nightmares Case remains in the weekly drop pool, providing an ongoing source of cases that can be opened.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy the skin directly through the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a case opening. Compare the exterior and whether the listing is standard or StatTrak before selecting a copy. Where inspection is available, check the exact float and appearance rather than choosing from the exterior label alone.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player to obtain the knife in exchange for items they agree to accept. Confirm that the offered item is ★ Shadow Daggers | Lore and check its exterior, float and StatTrak status. Compare equivalent listings when assessing the exchange, since a different version or condition can change the basis of the trade.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Supply comes through different routes: Operation Riptide cases no longer drop, while Dreams & Nightmares cases continue entering through the weekly pool. Standard and StatTrak options across the full exterior range make like-for-like listing comparisons more useful than a single headline price. Future demand and resale speed remain uncertain, so professional ownership alone should not be treated as evidence of a reliable flip.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Distinctive gold finish with detailed cream knotwork

• Professional ownership by FalleN and fer

• StatTrak availability alongside standard versions

• Retired Riptide cases constrain that specific supply route

The investment rating is medium, balancing professional ownership and the retired Riptide source against continued availability through Dreams & Nightmares cases. The main risk is ongoing supply without a verified demand or price-growth trend. It is better assessed as a finish to own and compare carefully than as a purchase with predictable returns.
