Shadow Daggers | Boreal Forest

★ Shadow Daggers | Boreal Forest is a CS2 knife skin with forest camouflage across its paired blades. Olive greens, dark brown patches and plain gray-olive sections give it a subdued woodland appearance. The look suits players who prefer earthy colors over bright decorative finishes. It comes in every listed exterior from Factory New to Battle-Scarred, with regular and StatTrak™ versions available.

Description

★ Shadow Daggers | Boreal Forest brings a camouflage finish to the paired Shadow Daggers in CS2. The push-dagger shape gives the pattern a compact layout, with decorated blades beside open handles and guards. Irregular green and brown patches establish the woodland theme without relying on illustrations or lettering. Broad gray-olive areas through the blade centers break up the camouflage rather than covering every surface with pattern. Pale metallic outlines along the cutting edges add definition against the muted colors. This combination suits players looking for a knife with an earthy palette and clearly separated blade details. Regular and StatTrak versions provide different purchase options within the same finish. Buyers can compare exterior condition, float value and version before deciding which individual listing fits their preferences.

History and Origin

The finish debuted in CS:GO on September 17, 2015, alongside the Shadow Case. Its release formed part of the "Shadow Case Skins" update. Valve created the skin, rather than a community designer. The accompanying flavor text reinforces the forest theme through a warning about traveling into the woods alone. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, changing the case's availability. As of October 9, 2026, the Shadow Case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be bought and opened. Opening one of those remaining cases continues to provide a chance of obtaining this knife finish. Buyers seeking an existing copy can instead use marketplace listings or arrange a trade with another player.

Finish Style

Boreal Forest uses a Hydrographic finish to give the blades a forest camouflage pattern. Olive green and muted green establish the main color palette across both daggers. Yellow-green patches introduce lighter areas, while dark brown shapes provide contrast within the camouflage. The patches are irregular, giving the decorated surfaces a varied appearance rather than a uniform block of color. Broad, plain gray-olive sections run through the middle of each blade and interrupt the busy pattern. The handles and guards share that gray-olive tone, with large open cutouts shaping their appearance. Small dark markings near the blade bases add detail where the decorated blades meet the plainer sections. Thin pale metallic edges trace the cutting surfaces and tips, keeping their outlines distinct from the surrounding camouflage.

Float Value

The float range for ★ Shadow Daggers | Boreal Forest is 0.06 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior category is missing. Regular and StatTrak versions exist, but there is no Souvenir version; version availability is separate from an individual copy's cosmetic condition.

Rarity and Popularity

★ Shadow Daggers | Boreal Forest has the Covert rarity grade. Its stated chance from opening a Shadow Case is 0.02%, making a case opening an uncertain route to this specific finish. Existing cases remain usable despite their retired drop status, while already obtained copies can be bought or traded.

Why it’s Popular:

• Earthy camouflage suits green and brown loadout themes

• Plain blade centers balance the busy forest pattern

• Pale metallic edges define the paired dagger shapes

• Regular and StatTrak versions offer different buying options

Price Range

The live CS2 skin price range is $34.25 to $200.00. These bounds cover the whole item rather than a particular exterior or version. Compare regular and StatTrak listings separately instead of assuming their asking prices follow the same order. Within an exterior category, inspect the exact float and listing image to understand the copy being offered. When choosing where to buy, match the version and condition across listings so the price comparison remains useful.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Shadow Case

Open a Shadow Case for a 0.02% chance of receiving this specific knife skin. The case no longer drops, but existing cases can still be purchased and opened. This route offers a chance rather than a guaranteed way to obtain Boreal Forest.

3. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy an existing copy through the Steam Community Market instead of relying on a case opening. Search for the correct exterior and regular or StatTrak version, then inspect the listing before purchasing. This route allows buyers to select the listed item directly.

4. Trade with Other Players

Trade with another player who owns ★ Shadow Daggers | Boreal Forest. Confirm the exterior, float and version of the offered copy before accepting the exchange. A trade obtains an existing skin without requiring a Shadow Case opening.

Trading and Investment Considerations

New Shadow Case drops have ended, so further openings depend on existing case stock and consume that remaining supply. This limits the source of additional copies, but it does not establish strong demand or predict future resale prices. Players looking to buy, sell or trade should compare the available exteriors, exact floats and regular or StatTrak versions individually.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Retired case source limits future case supply

• Covert rarity with low opening odds

• Distinctive forest camouflage across paired blades

• Regular and StatTrak options broaden buyer choice

The investment rating is medium, balancing the retired Shadow Case source and low opening odds against uncertain future demand. Those supply factors support a holding argument, but they are not evidence that resale prices will rise. Existing copies can continue circulating, and the main risk is selling for less than the purchase cost.
