Description

M4A4 | Royal Paladin is a CS2 skin for the Counter-Terrorist M4A4 rifle, built around engraved metalwork rather than a flat graphic. The underlying rifle is fully automatic, favoring accuracy over the AK-47's greater damage. Its Gunsmith finish pairs a dark bronze-brown receiver with pale silver-gray panels on the handguard and upper stock. Gold-bronze accents on the barrel and front sight give the muzzle end a warmer tone. Scrollwork, diamond motifs, and floral details create an ornate look suited to players who prefer intricate decoration. The gray grip and stock supports keep the rifle's elaborate main panels visually distinct. Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions offer different options for players interested in the same decorative finish. When choosing a copy, compare its exterior and float value alongside the version rather than treating every listing as interchangeable.

History and Origin

Royal Paladin was released on December 11, 2015, alongside the Revolver Case. The release formed part of the Revolver Case Skins update. Steam Workshop community designer Teo created the finish. It belongs to The Revolver Case Collection, linking its collection identity to that original case release. The flavor text adds a secrecy theme through a warning about a phone call. Valve retired the rare drop pool on December 17, 2025, and the Revolver Case no longer drops. Existing cases remain available to buy on the market and open, so retirement did not remove the case-opening route. Today, the skin can also be acquired through player trades, Steam Community Market purchases, and eligible Trade Up Contracts.

Finish Style

Royal Paladin uses a Gunsmith finish to give the M4A4 an ornate, worked-metal appearance. Fine etched scrollwork runs across the dark bronze-brown receiver, making decoration a central feature rather than an isolated accent. The barrel and front sight take on gold-bronze tones that contrast with the cooler sections behind them. The handguard and upper stock are pale silver-gray, with repeating diamond shapes interwoven with curved decorative lines. Narrow vertical bands of pale floral ornament break up the dark gray magazine. The gray pistol grip carries subtler decoration, while the stock supports combine gray surfaces with dark sections beneath the stock. Plainer metal components separate the patterned panels, keeping the different ornamental areas from merging into an uninterrupted design. The overall effect is formal and detailed, emphasizing etched surfaces and contrasting metal colors instead of bright artwork.

Float Value

Float values for M4A4 | Royal Paladin run from 0.00 to 0.80. Available exteriors are Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred, so no exterior tier is excluded. StatTrak and Souvenir versions are also available; version availability is separate from the cosmetic condition and float value of an individual copy.

Rarity and Popularity

M4A4 | Royal Paladin belongs to the Covert rarity grade. The chance of obtaining it from the Revolver Case is 0.32%, making a case opening an uncertain acquisition route. Professional players GeT_RiGhT, steel, and westmelon own the skin, providing ownership context without establishing broader market demand.

Why it’s Popular:

• Detailed etched scrollwork across the bronze-brown receiver

• Silver-gray panels contrast with warm gold-bronze accents

• Ornamental styling suits restrained, metal-toned loadouts

• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir versions offer different ownership options

Price Range

The live M4A4 | Royal Paladin price range is $66.36 to $428.65. Exterior, float value, and version are the main listing details to separate when comparing its CS2 skin price. Factory New and StatTrak listings should be checked individually, since neither label alone establishes the price of a particular copy. Souvenir listings need their own comparison, without assuming they match the pricing of standard or StatTrak versions. Use the live range as a skin-wide reference, then inspect the specific copy before deciding to buy, sell, or trade.

How to Obtain

1. Buy Directly through Eneba Skins

One of the fastest and most straightforward options is to purchase skins directly through Eneba Skins. You can browse available CS2 skins, compare prices, and choose the items that best fit your budget.

2. Open the Revolver Case

Open an existing Revolver Case for a chance to receive Royal Paladin. The case no longer drops, but remaining cases can still be bought and opened. The skin's chance is 0.32%, so opening a case does not secure this particular result.

3. Trade Up Contracts

A Trade Up Contract using 10 Classified skins from The Revolver Case Collection produces 1 Covert skin from that collection. Royal Paladin is a possible result, but the outcome is random among the collection's Covert skins.

4. Buy on the Steam Community Market

Buy a listed copy on the Steam Community Market to choose this finish directly rather than rely on a randomized result. Compare the listing's exterior and version, and check the float when that detail is available.

5. Trade with Other Players

Royal Paladin can be acquired by trading with another player who owns a copy. Check the exact item, exterior, float value, and version before agreeing to the exchange.

Trading and Investment Considerations

Retirement of the Revolver Case removes new case drops, but existing cases and Trade Up Contracts can still introduce additional copies of the skin. Professional ownership supports its visibility, though it does not establish sales volume or guarantee demand for a particular exterior. Compare standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir listings separately, with attention to float and current asking prices rather than an assumed resale premium.

Reasons it Holds Value

• Revolver Case no longer receives new drops

• Covert grade supports collectible appeal

• Etched metalwork gives the finish a distinct identity

• Professional ownership provides visibility

• Standard, StatTrak, and Souvenir options suit different preferences

The investment rating is medium-to-good, based on the retired case supply, Covert rarity, and professional ownership. Those factors support considering it for a hold, but price trends and sales volume remain uncertain. The main risk is that existing cases and trade-ups continue supplying skins while future demand and resale prices are unpredictable.
